My Pepper never tries to sleep fur-to-skin with me-- unless he knows I'm stressed out. He seems to be able to tell this. And it does make me feel better. I have other cats that see me as more like their wait staff, but Pepper almost certainly equates me with some kind of parental figure.
My grandma have a heart condition, and each time she feels bad and lying on her sofa, her cat comes to her and lies down on her chest and starts to purr. Grandma says that each time she feels somehow better.
There was actually a study that found cats do actually love us. The study found cats won't explore an unfamiliar environment without their "parent" within eyesight. It's often interpreted as a cat needing the security of knowing their "parent" is nearby to comfort and protect them.
So true ig. I just moved to my brother who has cats and whilst there is no unfamiliar environment here, whenever there was a weird sound they looked in that direction and then looked at me. And only when I stood up and went to go see what it was the cat would follow me. I don't think that was because of the "yeah you have to die for me" thing that many people would say it was. I think it was because he wanted me with him to be safe and sound.
Anybody with a nervous cat that is bonded to them knows this- my shy cat will only explore certain parts of the house that she doesn’t consider her territory when I’m there by her side to encourage her. If I leave her tail goes down and she slinks close to the floor- when I’m with her she raises her tail and explores more confidently but keeps looking back to me for reassurance that I’m still there. Cool that they could prove it in a study
@@ESwift-Arts so here's why it needs to be confirmed. I have 3 cats. Two of them won't move around the house if I'm not there. I had 2 barn cats. Every morning I'd go to clean the horse stalls they'd have a dead mouse to show me. Almost as if they wanted me to be proud of them or something. I ended up moving to a house with no barn and took both the cats with me. Their transition going from murderous barn cats to being domesticated was fast, and they both turned into the best cats I've ever met.
Actually them bringing you the prize of their hunt is a token of love. It's a gift from them. :) On the night of my 16th birthday at exactly midnight, my cat brought me a live bird. I always loved birds but wouldn't want to keep one in a cage...I'd usually just look at them from afar in the garden. After careful examination it appeared the bird wasn't hurt at all by my cat. So I had the opportunity to just take it into my hands, look at it from upclose, somewhat pet it too, for just a few minutes. Then my cat and I both went upstairs to the biggest window of the house, and I freed the bird. We watched it fly away together in the night sky and went to bed afterwards. I was afraid he'd be upset I had freed his gift, he had proved quite upset at me getting rid of the occasional dead rodent offering, but not this time. Even a few years later it remains one of the best and most special birthday gifts I ever had. 🧡
Cats share their hunt with the people they respect :) Cats who don't actually hunt substitute kills with their favorite toy and other things. I have 2 kitties who always try to share their toys with me xP like they're giving back to me for all I give to them.
When cats bring you dead or dying prey, it's because they are trying to teach you to kill your own food, because they don't think you can provide for yourself :S
I have chronic pain and my cat purrs and kneads his paws exactly where I have the most pain every single night! His loving and healing presence is priceless! 🐾😻❤️
I have endometriosis. My cat comes sit on my tummy and purrs whenever I feel discomfort from my illness. And it's the only time he would do that. But unfortunately my condition is severe so I dont notice any relief whenever he does that. But I understand it's something. Wallahualam.
Lola Incarnate How awful, you are suffering from this terrible illness. I hope you are able to get proper treatment for it. 🏥👩🏼⚕️ Please do know, your cat *loves* you and that is why, they are trying to help you recover. ♥️🐈
I have it too. I’ve been disabled because of it for years, unfortunately. Both dogs and cats are very good at giving us comfort when we’re hurting. One of my dogs sniffed out a tumor I didn’t know I had. My last cat, who died a few years ago, would come and sit with me , usually on my lap. It never occurred to me that she was trying to really help. 😂❤️
Lola , I’ve read a couple articles about how a plant based diet can help with endometriosis pain, I think it’s definitely worth looking into. Take care.
I lost a baby about 3 years ago and it was a very hard time because I was on bed rest and basically waiting for the baby to pass away in utero. I was crying on my bed when my cat Caroline came and jumped onto the bed with me. She starting nuzzling my face and purring. She was trying to comfort me and she was successful because it really helped me. She actually did that a number of times with me, whenever she was in my room and I happened to be crying, she would always do that. And I always knew she was trying to comfort me. I truly believe God sent her to be a blessing to our family.
I really believe this is true, when I was 8 I had a Siamese male cat and whenever I would cry he would show such worry, he would try to get close to me and meow loudly in a worried tone and try to pet me for comfort and no matter how many times I would push him away while crying he won't stop till he gets to touch me and pet me and won't leave till I stop crying. He would always show this type of behaviour only when I would cry
I think my cat doesn't believe she's a cat, she believes that she is a tiny human. She wants to eat our food on a table, she sleeps in our bed and she even learned how to open doors !
Keep her away from your car keys. My cat, Elizabeth, loved to jump in the truck of a neighbor's friend and go to sleep next to the steering wheel. This kid could have flown an airplane if she had access.
My cat only messes with stuff when she sees a human doing it. Ie, Christmas: I put ornaments on the tree, she immediately wants to bat at the ornaments, too (yet typically doesn’t actually knock them off or break them, and generally calms back down once the Decorating Frenzy is done...until it’s time to take things down, anyway) Similar scenario with puzzles and legos, or if I’m drawing or writing or reading, or if I’m playing an instrument. (She thinks my singing is a cry of distress, though. Which, RUDE. I sing fine, kitty!) So...yeah. It’s literally mimickry. All my cats have also learned to be just shy of opening doors (paws are the wrong shape. But they’re still dangerous if the door isn’t latched Just So, or if the handle’s a lever vs knob), and I swear my Mimic Cat also has her own language of meows and chatters full-on sentences, and tries mimicking English with a cry that sounds suspiciously like “Ma!” ...it’s both endearing and somewhat frightening how clever they actually are (and how much language they actually understand aside from tone and context/intent.) I’ve also noticed distinct behavioral changes when I got my family to stop calling her a “brat” unless she was actually in trouble-less submissive behavior and general mischief. Although I swear she spent about half a week “testing it out” like a kid pushing boundaries
My cat Marian recently began alerting me to my anxiety and panic attacks before they happen. She’s my Emotional Support Animal, and I’ve barely had her for a year (she’s about 21 months old), but I never could have imagined that she would teach herself to “task” like a service dog is taught to do. When she senses it, she herds me toward my bed, and lays on my chest and purrs once I lie down. I then start having very recognizable symptoms, and eventually have the attack. Once it’s over, she hops off my chest and walks away like it never happened. She’s done it at least three times within the past six months. It’s really amazing how she’s so insistent about it, too. She knows what I need before I do, and is really good at taking care of me during my episodes. She’ll lick my forehead sometimes, too, and always curls up next to me in bed at night. I really love that cat 🐈
If you spend time bonding with your cat its amazing how much love they can give. They are different from dogs on that part because if you give a dog seconds of affection they will stick with you the whole day. Cats require time.
They say Siberian cats are more dog like in personality, and the stray one that adopted our household won't leave me alone. She's not at all aloof and detached in the way cats have a reputation for.
I think cats see us as Mother cats who don't kick them out of the nest. Mother cats are excessively devoted and caring of their young. Kittens don't leave their mothers voluntarily. They are driven off by the mother when she goes into estrus again. In a few days, the mother goes from doting and fussing to whacking and hissing. Kittens are naturally confused. Cats are just trying to get back to the momma cat that loved them. Mother cats set a high standard of care and cats come to us with high expectations. We become that loving parent who never makes them leave home. We feed them and groom them (strokes and scratches) and they can snuggle with us, all while being able to be independent and active.
Yeah, I also think this is true. Every time I see some bollocks article suggesting cats see us as big cats who are terrible hunters it makes me roll my eyes. Yeah, we must be terrible hunters seeing as we have enough spare food to feed the cat *several times a day*! Sigh.
Cats don’t scratch furniture to “sharpen their claws”. They have scent glands between their toes, so they actually scratch to mark their territory & communicate with other animals. Territorial boundaries & owning items makes them feel secure. Other than that, great & accurate info in this video!
Thank you! Cats also do this to condition the muscles that expose & retract their claws or to remove damaged claw sheathes.Their claws certainly don’t need to be “sharpened”
@@hobbyhopper3143 This is what I was going to point out too. Most people don't know that cats claws grow in layers and they shed the old ones while scratching to keep them fresh. 🙂
Fun fact: If a cat licks you it's either that you taste nice (be ready for them biting you) or because they see you as a part of their family. And is therefore "grooming" you, just as it would do with another cat. This is also why cats like to "eat" hair.
They are leaving their scent on fresh laundry, whenever we wash, come house after a long day etc, if they cant smell themselves, they get close and leave their scent...
Feral cats have been known to form small packs in the wild, working together as an family of independent individuals. I’m sure that’s more how the cats see us considering they treat us like one of these gang members rather than a form of competition.
A clowder or a glaring actually, though you can go with clan if you want. More apartment community then organized social structure. But yeah, cats hunt solo and sometimes run entirely solo, they also form loose communities so the can have more pairs of eyes and ears keep an eye out for predators/rival species. And for mama cats, the ability to get a kitten sitter so they can stretch their legs and get a nice hunt in. The more socially inclined cats do share food with those they like, which is why pet cats on occasion bring back dead things for their humans. They see humans as group members, no clear data yet if they believe us just deaf near bald cats or know us as a different species though.
i started having heart complications about two years ago, and my first sign was my mom’s cat coming to lay on my chest. this cat is like 15 years old at this point, and wouldn’t normally be able to jump onto beds. she was also grouchy, so she did not like to cuddle. but this lil girl, came over, wiggled her way up, and specifically got onto my chest and began purring as hard as she could. got my mom to check my heart, and that boy was going bonkers.
They actually didn't answer the questions that popped up in my mind when I read the title. They didn't go into specifics at all. The vid can be summed in one sentence: "They act strange 'cause EVOLUTION" ... I mean... WOW, the insight! I hoped to learn how specific behaviors were used advantageously, when they were still living in the wild, so, to me personally, it was kind of a let down tbh. Nothing wrong with the video per se, just didn't meet my expectations.
Pandaa Bro They do explain how some behaviors are an advantage in the wild. For example: they tell why cats scratch and how that is an advantage for wild cats. And there are some more examples. So watch it again ;-)
I'm recovering from injuries from a car accident right now. While stuck in bed my cat comes and snuggles and purrs but when she leaves she steps on every bruise and scrape on her way out. I think she's trying to tell me she's in control of my healing.
She is trying to help. Contrary to popular believe, cats are very loyal. Just in their own way. One day, in the middle of a storm, when I had a blackout in my house and I was alone with my old cat (I was still a kid), she made sure to be always next to me, like she was trying to reasure me, a bit like saying "It's okay, nothing is going to happen". Funny thing is, I don't really mind storms, so it wasn't like I needed it, I was more bored than anything else, really. But I appreciated the gesture for what it was, she caring for me just like I cared for her. I miss the old girl.
Informational, but a couple details wrong. Housecats are actually quite social in the wild, and live in colonies, hunting and raising kits in groups. This is why they hunt surplus and give prey to humans, allow trusted humans near their kits, and groom & rub against each other to keep a shared scent. They usually see humans as fellow colony members; not predator, prey, or young.
Fun fact: cats sometimes actually teamed up, it only happens when hunting in groups is more beneficial than hunting alone, it’s not to rare as they have learned that driving specific people insane with cuddly smallness armies tends to make that person give them food. When they headbutt your leg they are basically saying “you are part of my pack”
Earlier this year I was suffering from terrible stumach aches, and my cat would always lie on that specific spot and purr loudly. Now I know. Thanks, cat.
After almost 34 years, I have another cat. My brother found a tiny kitten outside of my parents' home and I decided to welcome her to my family. The vet told me (about four days ago) she is no more than 7 weeks old. As I type this, my girl is sleeping next to me and her purring is so calming, beats any bedtime music.
My wife and i have 2 cat, one normal size and the other kind of fat, ( plump). If the small cat is laying on the floor, the plump cat will walk up to the other one and stand next to him for a few seconds and just fall over on top of him like a tree for no reason. It is so funny to watch, but the smaller cat is starting to get smart and know whats coming lol.
Here are some things you can do to accommodate their "weird" behaviours: 1:06 Provide hiding spaces and spaces to climb. Make sure to always put your food away! *If your cat likes to knock your stuff over a lot, it most likely means they're bored. Siphon off some of their energy by playing with them more! 1:25 Don't leave your food out lol 1:32 Give your cats lots of entertainment (windows to watch birds and wildlife from, places to climb, like *cat trees* , and toys and playtime). If your cat likes high vantage points I'd highly recommend a cat tree next to the window so they can watch birds and other wildlife (their "prey") outside. You can also put a bird feeder outside to attract more birds. 1:55 Playtime before feeding, and scatter meals (2/3/4) over the course of the day. Keep in mind cats sleep 1-2 hours after they're fed at night and you should not feed them more than 12 hours apart. 2:39 Get a scratching post! This is very important. Cats scratch to mark their territory, so if your cat is really shy or overly aggressive (signifying they don't feel confident in their ownership of their territory-- your house) a scratching post(s) can make them feel at home and more confident. And if your cat is scratching your stuff more than others'-- congrats! They like you. Another way to make a cat feel at home is litter boxes and things they can get their scent on (such as blankets). 4:20 Playtime and toys! If they're chewing on your stuff, it means they're bored. Remember positive reinforcement! Basically, reward your cat when they're not doing bad stuff. Yelling and spray bottles doesn't really help-- they can't understand what you're saying and will only be scared of you (possibly leading to other unwanted behaviours).
Yes. Good comment. Also positive reinforcement training/clicker training for the win. All animals can be understood and them understand us through setting up mutual communication and listening to body language:)
A lot of people think that cats are scared of cucumbers. They are actually scared, because that thing wasn’t there before. It’s like you turn around and suddenly you see someone standing behind you. The cucumber prank is also very bad for the cats mental health, so don’t do it! Cats are animals that have learned to live with us. And we should appreciate that!🐱
THANK YOU! The idea that cats have some special fear of cukes is so ridiculous I can't even, and yes, every time I see someone terrorizing a cat for "fun", let's just say it's a good thing for them I haven't witnessed something like that in person. What is wrong with some people?
my cat always brings me her favourite toy, which is the ugliest too but she loves it, for me to play with her. Just a feather tied to a string that I move around pretending to be a bird or something, and she loves to pretend she's stalking it, so she hides and wiggles a little bit as the toy doesn't move like a pray resting and then she attacks and that's when I move it as if the prey was surprised. She loves it. Sometimes she catches it and then leaves it and hides again to play again. So cute.
Nazz mk Whenever I have a hard time finding my cat, I pull out a stick and drag it on the ground so that he will come out and chase after it. He's adorable... too bad he's gone. :(
Peteto Chibs I'm imaging your cat jamming out to music, using headphones, while browsing Amazon for expensive furniture.....that's what you meant right??....
woof I am a dog person but my husband rescued a cat recently and it's been such a wonder having him around. I once tripped and fell down hard, and the cat actually came up to me while meowed and rubbed on my arm.. like he was concerned I got hurt :,( that moved my heart
I read about a research saying they see us as big hairless, bit clumsy mother cats. That's why they display behavior towards us that they also display towards their mothers. Meowing, kneeding etc. But for sure they see us a family members. Unless you have an unhealthy relationship with your cat.
We are what we are .. APEX PREDATORS and that's how most animals see us except my own cat .. he thinks i am a vantage point . I still dont know why he climbs up to my head
I may be overthinking this. But I've paused at 1:37 the cat that's chosen my house hold goes in and out. He still hunts and protects and he still comes in and chills. Bros a warrior he just chills with me on his time off
You know when he was talking about how cats see us, well here's my idea: •They view us as mothers •They view us as food givers or •They view us family, (like brother sister, protected etc) I mean, cat don't hate us unless we do something to make them hate us.
Feral cats will live in groups if enough food is available nearby. It's usually a family group descended from a female. Cats in this group will give each other food, allow other kittens to feed if they have kittens of their own and look after kittens that aren't theirs. Their behaviour strongly suggests that cats see us as part of this group.
scottishastronomer I think exactly Like you. that could explain why they kill bird or mouses and bring the dead bodies on front of our feets or doors. Almost as if it was a present
When I was young I had a cat named Stella. Just about every night I’d go to the porch and call for her to come home. Without fail she’d be there within two mins or so and almost always with dinner of sorts for me. Birds, mice, gophers, snakes she offered quite the nightly menu🤣
MGirl492 while dogs would wait until near starvation to eat their owner's dead body, if your cat found you dead it would probably start eating you within the day. I think about that every time I feed my lil fat cat
***** i was replying to sam who says dogs would never eat their owners which is wrong and i am aware that both cats and dogs would eat people when starving
Still better than what humans would do. While pets only eat their deceased owners, humans in starvation wouldn't wait for the pets to die, they would kill them first...
We found our cat as an abandoned baby, probably not even one week old. As such, I don't believe that he knows he IS a cat, and is probably wondering when he will shed his hair and start walking upright.
I raised 2 cats. I wouldnt have been surprised if they had started to talk during those days, one even did no few words. If they said "Hellow, how has it been at school?" to me back then I wouldnt have been surprised at all.
It was the same for me and my dear cow cat Mashu. She was barely a week old when I adopted her. It wasn't until one year later when we got a second cat, who was 1.5 months old and had lived with her 14-member cat family until then, that Mashu learned cats are supposed to meow, not to ring. She still prefers ringing, though.
My cat would knead exactly where my cancer is before we knew it was cancer. His purr is so loud and soothing makes me wonder if theory dogs/cats should be in hospitals to go along with whatever treatment would be beneficial and why it hasn’t happened yet
One of if not the most peculiar human behaviors is the enjoyment in doing nothing, wether it be sitting down looking at the skulls, or a tiny slate that displays light.
They seem genuinely puzzled that I would presume to scrape through their litter every day. At least not as annoying to them as what I presume to do with this here guitar!
Point of advice: if you cat is scratching your furniture and stuff try to get piece of firewood. I used to head with a wood stove and my cat loooved using pieces of wood to sharpen his claws. He never really scratched anything else.
Although wood could cause splinters and unneeded cuts on the underside of a cat's paws. I like to try cardboard boxes with my cats! I have three of them, and 2/3 prefer the box over furniture or anything in the house. They'll just tear through a corner, and when they've gotten through, just turn to another corner.
Um, are you people not aware of all the corugated cardboard scratching toys and furniture designed specifically for this reason. They are very mainstream, you can find them at Petsmart, Petco, Petco . c o m carries them deeply discounted. Are you not aware of scratching posts for cats????? Firewood is dangerous and pretty outdated.
Mine will only scratch the front entrance carpet, I get those rough industrial ones so they last longer. Even then, I have to get a new one every 6 months or so. At elast it's not the couch I guess.
3:35 - I attest: When my two kittens snuggle up with me to sleep, I rest *so* much simply because they are there and (even if I was asleep prior to their joining me), I rest *better* unconsciously knowing their loving cuddling is next to me! So, yeah: I love my little girls!
If your cat is scratching furniture, put duct tape that is sticky on both sides on whatever they are scratching. They won't like the feeling and learn to not scratch it. Then you can take off the tape. You also at the same time need to provide a scratching post for your cat, and if they like catnip (not all cats do) rub catnip on the post to get them interested.
We gave our cat treats when she used her scratching post for the first while. Now she uses it when she wants attention, as well as to sharpen her claws. She still tears up paper and cardboard boxes, but she doesn't scratch furniture. She was 9 when we got her too, so it's not a matter of training them young.
@Jacob Zondag nah more like birds evolved from reptiles, and reptiles from amphibians. If lizards/snakes/crocs and frogs taste like a more swampy chicken it's because chicken tastes like the o.g. swampy boys

My cat does human things too! He eats. Shits and sleeps.
My cat only messes with stuff when she sees a human doing it.
Ie, Christmas: I put ornaments on the tree, she immediately wants to bat at the ornaments, too (yet typically doesn’t actually knock them off or break them, and generally calms back down once the Decorating Frenzy is done...until it’s time to take things down, anyway)
Similar scenario with puzzles and legos, or if I’m drawing or writing or reading, or if I’m playing an instrument. (She thinks my singing is a cry of distress, though. Which, RUDE. I sing fine, kitty!)
So...yeah. It’s literally mimickry. All my cats have also learned to be just shy of opening doors (paws are the wrong shape. But they’re still dangerous if the door isn’t latched Just So, or if the handle’s a lever vs knob), and I swear my Mimic Cat also has her own language of meows and chatters full-on sentences, and tries mimicking English with a cry that sounds suspiciously like “Ma!”
...it’s both endearing and somewhat frightening how clever they actually are (and how much language they actually understand aside from tone and context/intent.) I’ve also noticed distinct behavioral changes when I got my family to stop calling her a “brat” unless she was actually in trouble-less submissive behavior and general mischief. Although I swear she spent about half a week “testing it out” like a kid pushing boundaries
Clever girl
Mine too
My cat Marian recently began alerting me to my anxiety and panic attacks before they happen.
I hope you are doing better from those panic and anxiety attacks. You are fortunate to have Marian. Take good care.

Dr. Katz

No. It has both purposes.
It’s so cool that my cat is getting properties in animal world every now and then! real estate check!!
@@thebacon2ursoap939 The scratching removes the dull layer and reveals the untouched sharp layer, thus sharpening the claw.
Fun fact: If a cat licks you it's either that you taste nice (be ready for them biting you) or because they see you as a part of their family. And is therefore "grooming" you, just as it would do with another cat. This is also why cats like to "eat" hair.

In the wild, the freshly laundered towel is the cat's most feared enemy.
how come the replies get more and more likes the deeper you go
They are leaving their scent on fresh laundry, whenever we wash, come house after a long day etc, if they cant smell themselves, they get close and leave their scent...
Lmao
Feral cats have been known to form small packs in the wild, working together as an family of independent individuals. I’m sure that’s more how the cats see us considering they treat us like one of these gang members rather than a form of competition.
Cats are competitive among themselves when it comes to food
You mean.....
*CLANS?*

So basically Warriors then
What they were saying is that ancient "house cats" were antisocial but modern ones have adapted to being more social amongst themselves.
@Alec Cotler Their species is still the same (felis catus) but they are addressed as being "feral" instead of "domesticated." (household)

Here are some things you can do to accommodate their "weird" behaviours:
1:06 Provide hiding spaces and spaces to climb. Make sure to always put your food away! *If your cat likes to knock your stuff over a lot, it most likely means they're bored. Siphon off some of their energy by playing with them more!
1:25 Don't leave your food out lol
1:32 Give your cats lots of entertainment (windows to watch birds and wildlife from, places to climb, like *cat trees* , and toys and playtime).
All animals can be understood and them understand us through setting up mutual communication and listening to body language:)

my cat always brings me her favourite toy, which is the ugliest too but she loves it, for me to play with her. So cute.

YOU DARE QUESTION THE WAYS OF OUR MASTERS?!
I genuinely think they just think we're humans. They know we're not cats they act completely different around cats
True they never sound the same reacting to other cats and animals
I have a theory that other animals see us as incredibly special or scary.
@@cy6lon354 Ha, mine grabs every chance he gets to jump on my back and just look around from there, or use my back as a bridge.

GUYS IT'S TRUE I GET +5 HP REGENERATION
haha, so dogs are that warrior who Lerroy Jenkings their way into everything and cats are that healer that doesn't give a f.
It is a scientifically known fact
I may be overthinking this. But I've paused at 1:37 the cat that's chosen my house hold goes in and out. He still hunts and protects and he still comes in and chills. Bros a warrior he just chills with me on his time off

You know when he was talking about how cats see us, well here's my idea:
•They view us as mothers
•They view us as food givers
or
•They view us family, (like brother sister, protected etc)
I mean, cat don't hate us unless we do something to make them hate us.
i see my staff as food dispensers X3
is hard to believe
in the wild the cats lives alone no with family or friends
is not really easy for an animal who lives alone live in groups
My cat sees me as his food. He always bite and lick my pinky finger, of course without hurting me :D
This is probably one of my favorite animations ever
When I was young I had a cat named Stella. Just about every night I’d go to the porch and call for her to come home. Without fail she’d be there within two mins or so and almost always with dinner of sorts for me. Birds, mice, gophers, snakes she offered quite the nightly menu🤣

Cat lady
I am a simple man, that's it...
My cat tries to bite me when she starts getting hungry. Pretty sure she'd eat me if she could lol
MGirl492 while dogs would wait until near starvation to eat their owner's dead body, if your cat found you dead it would probably start eating you within the day. I think about that every time I feed my lil fat cat
actually dogs eat their owner's bodies also as seen during times of war
***** i was replying to sam who says dogs would never eat their owners which is wrong and i am aware that both cats and dogs would eat people when starving
Dogs and cats will both eat their owners, read my comment again
Still better than what humans would do. While pets only eat their deceased owners, humans in starvation wouldn't wait for the pets to die, they would kill them first...
Cats are extremely adorable... But they are also assholes... Damn cats... I LOVE THEM SOOOO MUCH
Wolfgang Dibiasi if you respect your cat, he/she won’t be aggressive to you
Kinda like people. They can be huge assholes but you love em anyway.

Like some people say, having a cat is like being in a relationship
Da Dragon Durp It's like having children actually 😂
Wolfgang Dibiasi that’s why I like them 😂
Wow, I never knew about the frequency of them purring. That’s fascinating.

By any chance.... Are you an INFP?
We found our cat as an abandoned baby, probably not even one week old. As such, I don't believe that he knows he IS a cat, and is probably wondering when he will shed his hair and start walking upright.
I raised 2 cats. I wouldnt have been surprised if they had started to talk
during those days, one even did no few words. If they said "Hellow, how has it been at school?" to me
back then I wouldnt have been surprised at all.
If given the opportunity they will feast on your flesh. They know the deal. People don't.
Iunanec lol what do you mean by "ring"?
CheesecakeLasagna She vocalizes this "rrurrurru" sound just like an old rotary dial telephone's ringing.
Dogs have masters, cats have staff.
Tru Dat
We have a fat and beatyful catprincess.
Dogs have masters, cats ARE the masters
A dog won't eat it's friend "it's owner" a cat if it's the same size as a big dog will.
dogs are slaves. cats are classmates.
My cat would knead exactly where my cancer is before we knew it was cancer. His purr is so loud and soothing makes me wonder if theory dogs/cats should be in hospitals to go along with whatever treatment would be beneficial and why it hasn’t happened yet
the ending horrified me

Cats: why do humans act so weird?
You can watch that video on MeowTube.
Mine just likes to chew it up XD She has boxes just for when she pretends she's a termite
a sheet of wool is enough for my cat
Thanks... But I will miss the annoying scratching of my cat 😂😂😂
I am an exception. Stawberry tops are Heaven for me. My human might still try fresh catnip one day.
my cat likes to eat scotch tape.
We gave our cat treats when she used her scratching post for the first while. Now she uses it when she wants attention, as well as to sharpen her claws. She still tears up paper and cardboard boxes, but she doesn't scratch furniture. She was 9 when we got her too, so it's not a matter of training them young.
Thanks!

@Jacob Zondag nah more like birds evolved from reptiles, and reptiles from amphibians. If lizards/snakes/crocs and frogs taste like a more swampy chicken it's because chicken tastes like the o.g. swampy boys
I Can't Believe It's Not Chicken!
How can a human being ask such a question being the freakiest weirdest bug on and beneath the surface of this planet?
“If they were bigger, they’d probably try to eat you”
