Nothing brings out the warm and fuzzies on the TED-Ed team like memories of the awesome educational cartoons of our youth. We want to know, what was YOUR favorite educational programming growing up? Let us know in the comments below!
An all-time favorite, Aisha! Given the note this lesson ends on, we thought of this Mr. Rogers quote, "It's easy to say 'It's not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem.' Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes."
Renzy The California sea lion population has tripled in the last 40 years. Apparently, that was an inconvenient fact, just like the increase in the polar bear population. Shame on TedEd for promoting the global warming hoax.
Sea lion: has adapted over millions of years to become the apex predator; can dive to depths of 400m, hunt for 30 hours at a time, and has ultra powerful whiskers to sense fish in the dark some green stuff at the bottom of the sea floor: *I'm about to end this mans whole career*
For those who dont understand, basically, many icegrounds are melting due to global warming, because of this, many to most sea lions have to live on high rocky islands, the less land there is, the more crowded it is for them, the more likely it is that the sea lions themselves will push each other off of those cliffs to their deaths.
Someone give today's animator a huge hug from my side, please! This was so cute and it reminded me of my childhood uwu Now all I need is to get me a sea lion.
The art in these videos is so consistently wonderful and creative, Ted-Ed really has a knack for finding the best animators around. Cabong Studios did an amazing job on this one. 10/10, -would- will watch again.
How can every animation that u guys make look so damn cute and beautiful?!?! BTW thanks for the Knowledge I hope TEDEd gonna be more successful in the future😊
It's called "teamwork" my friend. They (whole team) need to collaborate (brainstorm), patient (at opinions) , selfless (care each others), trust (open & loyal), & have 1 goal so that they can achive this & the others video.
Firstly what an amazing cartoon, secondly the characteristics of the sea lion are amazing how they use their sense to hunt, diving adaptations and how they can control their behavior also they can sense when the pray is moving
This video has the same aura of an old educational video that underfunded elementary schools showed during science class. I love everything about this!
I know everyone has already commented on the amazing animation of this video, but can we also just take a moment to appreciate the storyline? Oh my goodness, from the memory of a cheating husband 3:03, the father-child reconciliation through videos games, the mourning of the father’s death later on, and finally that lion king reference (because sea “lions”??) at the end 🤯
Animators & artists must watch these kind of educational channels. Not only you are well-informed but, you can distinguished & appreciate the style of the animator/artists. Salute to the peeps behind the TED Ed animation
Who else loves the old-fashion animation? 😍 It seems like something you would see in a drive-in or some other old theater! Love Ted-Ed! :D Nice information and animation!

Sorry to get pedantic, but they're not apex predators. They're prey for large sharks and orcas. Still really awesome though.
It is a sea lion not a man...
Someone give today's animator a huge hug from my side, please! This was so cute and it reminded me of my childhood uwu
Now all I need is to get me a sea lion.

Even that death animation towards the end is a homage to old school cartoons. Love the whole animation theme.
I know everyone has already commented on the amazing animation of this video, but can we also just take a moment to appreciate the storyline? Every day I am thankful that Ted Ed content is free.

I really like to learn about something new everyday
This is the perfect video to watch before bedtime
This video was too cute for that ending
3/4 of the video I was smiling but when the 1/4 reality strikes in it turns so sad 😞
How can you tell me not to assume sea lions are adorable when literally everything about the animation makes them seem adorable?!
Man, I love the Lion King refence at the end. More like "The Sea-Lion King"!!!!
One of the best art styles... XD

I love the old school feel of this episode
This video brings back old memories while giving new knowledge
I like how the animation and as well as the tone of the narrator's voice makes this video old-fashioned.

This might be one of my most favorite animations you’ve ever done! Great work!!
Only TED-Ed can make me cry :'(
