    Went to my local Honda dealer just this past weekend to check out the new crv, and they only had one left on the lot...this thing is selling really well...

    Honda is on a roll after launching the 10th generation Civic. It's CVTs are simply the best in the business, as they come without the usual whiny sound associated with other CVTs... and with Civic Si and Type R yet to be launched, it seems that Honda is doing everything right.

      best cvt on the market hands down. I dont see everyones beef with the cvt. much better than the 5at previously in civics. I own a v6 6 speed accord and my wife has a 2016 ext cvt. Going between driving the two its crazy how the cvt in it is actually very well coordinated. She had a nissan before and good god it was aweful, cvt was terrible and going out at 58k miles (60k powertrain warranty, dealer did everything they could to not fix it). The new cvt in the civic is absolutely perfect. For the car and normal driving. Couldnt have a better transmission. Period.

    they didn't leave anything for acura rdx except the engine :D the rear lights is volvo xc90. the interior space , back leg room, cargo space is from acura rdx. the instrument cluster is very good.i would go for the touring option only if it's in low 30s. more than that go for the V6 Acura.

    • @panayiotispalmiris1750
      @panayiotispalmiris1750 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Paul Naylor they say AWD was improved. No one gave information of previous CR-V AWD torque capability. some say 25% on CVT (US) and for automatic 40% (European or same as 2016 Acura RDX though 2017 RDX will get SH-AWD). So will someone say what is the rear torque capability ??? CVT in general is terrible with AWD rear torque because it slips thus lower capability. Dave give some figures rather than say improved or show the improvement off road.

      The concept of the car is great; hondas execution of it was a total fail. The 15 and 16 CR-V have the famous vibration issue - which I knew going into the purchase. But after owning for over a year, there are interior creaks and rattles which annoy me, the heated seats on hi barely even get hot, the drivers side heater mirror gets warmer than the passengers side, the blowers for the HVAC will sometimes not work on the highest setting, the mpg is terrible I'm only getting 24, on occasion the start will make a nice grinding sound on start up, and the coolabt extension tank was well below the min line so now I'm watch to see if there is a coolant leak. I've taken to the Honda dealer for the starter, heated seats and was told all was normal. even showed them a video on TH-cam of 5he starter noise it's on my youtube channel and they told me it was normal!! I originally wanted a 2015 ford explorer and I'm so badly wishing I got one. but I went with a honda becuase of how great of vehicles I thought they made. I was so wrong. I've tried so hard to love this car but I just can't anymore ; (

    • @JP-er1on
      @JP-er1on 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Jordan F Oh thats alot of problems I own a 16 Touring and mines been perfectly fine maybe try going to another dealer or you just got a bad model.

    • @Jordan-nj2ve
      @Jordan-nj2ve 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have three dealerships near where I live and I've been to all of them. I also forgot to mention I have to have the drivers side master window switch replaced becuase the auto up and down would not work intermittently. When it happened the first couple of times I thought I just wasn't clicking the switch all the way but then I tracked it and it kept occurring. made an appt. at the dealership and at first they refused to fix it becuase they could not duplicate it. luckily as the tech was playing around with the window switch it happened and they reluctantly agreed to fix it. Do I like the car? Well I have no choice it has been purchased so yes. If I could do it all over again I would run to my ford explorer!! Then the other part is I've been back to the dealer many times - I'm at the point where I just simply do not have the time to keep going back and forth to the dealer when all they will say is "oh it's normal". the car runs and drives so I can use it but I don't have the energy to fight with them anymore. I work to much and just don't have time anymore. I have a life and I'm not going to let this take up any more of my time. I'm giving up at this point. the silver lining in the whole thing is that the crv is paid off and still worth about 25-26k. so if the issues ever get to the point where I can't deal with it anymore I will just trade it in on an explorer and pay what the difference is. I'm not ready to take a loss just yet and I want to get some use out of the car. but when it gets to the point where I can't deal with it... I will trade the hunk of junk in lol

    Hi Dave, I am a triathlete like you and I am looking at the 2017 CRV and Forester. I will be semi-retiring my rolling locker room Honda Element (boo hoo!) and really want a replacement that will hold my bike standing without removing the front wheel (with the rear seat folded down of course). I'd like to avoid a rear rack. Which would be your choice? My husband likes the idea of having a Subaru in the family, but I am loving the new look of the CRV. Thanks for your thoughts!

    Are cvt's on all cars now? I've never heard the term before until you mentioned it. So my question is, is it bad that a vehicle has cvt? And is there a certain type of cvt I should be aware of? I'm doing research so I can choose the right crossover vehicle, I'm looking for a car that can handle snow and also must have good take off, I'm not a speed demon but I don't like feeling like a turtle when the light turns green lol

    Glad Honda brought back the volume knob.. Now looking at the dashboard in front of the driver at 3:55.. Reeeaally do not like that dash. I wish they would bring back the regular traditional tachometer and speedometer. For such an important area that a driver looks at so often, I think Honda really blew it. They did the some thing (weird and strange) dashboards on the Honda Pilot and Ridgeline - instead of traditional nice looking tachometer and speedometer. I will be looking at purchasing something else.

    love this SUV the only things I don't like are 1 the transmission doesn't have auto shift and the price is a little too steep on the LX AWD which is msrp 26825 and the EX AWD is about 27845 I think so there's really not a big price difference between the two so the question I'm asking is simply this why buy a LX AWD at 26+ when you can buy an e x with all-wheel Drive for about a thousand more in my opinion Honda needs to drop the price on the LX with all-wheel drive about 2 Grand otherwise they're not going to be able to sell an LX very easily when people can just buy an ex instead but that's just my opinion

    • @melvinarias1044
      @melvinarias1044 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aldrin Guzman how many times have you pulled away in a Frenzy and have the radio up to high reaching furiously to turn the radio off or lower it. only to remember you have to hunt down the volume in a touch screen. taking your eyes off the radio yeah i know it has steering controls. it just sometimes better to have feedback and the volume control is pretty much baked in our memory from yesteryear cars.

    • @aldringuzman664
      @aldringuzman664 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      that's why you can turn the volume up or down from the steering wheel. you can slide or press

    • @nightdonutstudio
      @nightdonutstudio 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aldrin Guzman I never use volume knob on my car either. 100% time using the control on the steer wheel. so I never find the need of it too. If you say the passenger want to control the volume. well would you always ask the driver, can you lower the volume?

    Great video, but 34k I'll pass. Honda prices keep going up but not my pay.

    So Dave, now you praise the CRV, then you manage to stall an AWD version in the snow and fail to manœuvre it out of it, through terrible and repeated driving errors... only to have you hauled out of the predicament by some friends’ RAV! Beyond me, unless I start imagining things. Your reliability gets a dent.

    I spent 34k for a 15 CR-V Touring and it was a huge mistake!! DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!! There are so many other quality offerings on the market; I'd put this very last on your shopping list. Honda is hiding behind this reputation of quality and reliability as they produce and sell vehicles of very poor quality. I REPEAT DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!!
