- This is the start of my process of moving from Austin, TX to Oakland, CA. In this video I went to look at 7 different apartments to get a better feel for the different areas and complexes that I would consider living in. Stay tuned for more videos of the moving process.

Oh yay! You looked at a lot of the places I did when I was searching for an apartment here last year. Finding an affordable spot in Oakland with all or even most of your wants is no joke but I'm glad you were able to pick out a top 3. Can't wait to see which one you choose!
Yes! Your video was super helpful! I still haven’t moved so who knows where I’ll end up lol
Aww glad you got to watch and best wishes on the move 😊
I'm planning my move soon. I recognize alot of apartments I've been looking at online. Thanks for creating this video it gives me alot of insight!
Good to hear!
Wow that's going to be an awesome move, I look forward to when me and the wife can move to the west coast. Over this east coast life and weather lol
Hope you find a nice apartment and have a stress free move!🖤

I love moving vlogs so much 🤗🤍
Awesome video! How’d you find the apartments you visited?
Some I was familiar with since I lived in the area previously. But mostly I was browsing different apartment websites. Like apartment finder
How is oakland?
That’s a pretty broad question and it’s hard to answer without narrowing it down a bit depending on what you care about and where you would be coming from. I mostly like Oakland. The weather is not my fave though
I care about the safety more than anything. @@TiffanyArielle
@@caliwlove oh i usually feel safe in my area. But of course I’m mindful about walking at night just like I would anywhere. I think property theft (car break ins) is the main issue. I don’t have a car so it doesn’t affect me personally but you basically can’t leave anything in your car. Some people also leave the doors unlocked or the windows open
ok thank you @@TiffanyArielle
Can you name the apartments you looked at in the video?
pricing?….
I didn’t include the pricing because it changes a lot tbh so by the time the video got uploaded it probably would have already been out of date. I know the prices now are def not the same as they were in December when I was looking
But I think all of these pretty much ranged from 2800-3200 for 2 bedroom units
I disliked this video. Just because you didn't give sqft or price or anything. The whole Video was silly.
Different people look for different things when watching a video. Other people found it useful, but just to provide context. The whole purpose of this video was for people to have something beyond what is on the apartment websites to help with their search. People who have looked at these apartments would be able to recognize them from their own research.
Square footage and price are things that can be easily looked up on apartment websites. Also, even if I had provided the price, it would likely have changed by now since this was filmed over a year ago.
