A 400 pound pull should be routine for absolutely anyone male who has been lifting regularly, but combining it with a all out sprint for 400m sucks and if you can do it in under 60 you’re just pretty badass.
I love your videos man, you basically pulled of a 54 sec 400 right after a 400 pound dead lift! Sub 5 minute mile after a 500 pound dead lift is very possible!
Wow! You are amazing, gone from soccer player to long distance runner to hockey player to Mid distance runner to collegiate athlete to pro runner to Olympian to CEO/entrepreneur to TH-camr to marathoner and now to strength/athletic/TH-cam/entrepreneur/running legend. You have done it all.
You should do a mile where you have to lift the weight again every 400m. That would be way more interesting to watch. I emagine it would be way harder to lift that again after pounding the 400m
Tbh I've been searching for people that post about athletics and finally I've come across u like 10months ago I came a across u and love all the vids thank you man mad respect
Love this channel, look forward to seeing what new Fun With Fitness content you post every week. 21 days back into consistent running after a 2-year break, hopefully I can get back to a point where I can break 5:00 in the mile again. Thanks again for the weekly videos :D
Ok, I gotta step up my game, I don't think I can beat your time, but I may send you something along those lines. Amazing run Nick, I was quite surprised as well!
Try this: The workout is a superset, performed a total of three times: 8 x front squat (405 pounds) followed by a 400-meter sprint which must be completed in 75 seconds. It sounds like hell, and is made all the more impressive by the fact that Litvinov only weighed around 190 pounds when he would use this workout in his Olympic training.
Awesome job guys! I'm 62 years of age and this inspires me to put together the following to add to my already crazy workouts: FLIP MY 415 LB. TRACTOR TIRE 4 X, DEADLIFT 405 LBS., AND THEN RUN 400 YARDS FOR TIME. Hmmmnnnn!!!
hey nick my shoes are asics gel excite 8 size 7 blue i need some leg workouts to run faster.could you make a video about leg workouts i need tips. Thanks man
Possible, done it myself but I'm jealous of his running conditioning. Trying to get there while maintaining my lift numbers, want to run like a sub 5 mile while deadlifting 500
Money is an issue that everyone has for a better and luxurious life Life was hard for me until I started trading bitcoin and am now earning $18,435 per week

Captain Tom. Get your chin down. That last 100m you had your head leaning back so far. Nick try this for 100m with a varied brake between lift and run. Get the postactive potentiation from it.
I ran 53.44 hand timed at 6'0 and 214 lbs.. And deadlifted 550 to 575 all of 2013... If done like the video then add in 2.0 to that 53.44 and you get 55.44 and still a 550-575 deadlift... Video is on my page.. Looks like i'm the current youtube leader in this event. ....I should add a weight element to this. Such as you're not allowed to try this at under 190 lbs seeing that there are probably plenty of people that can leverage up a 550 deadlift or more with a straight up and down back angle and then easily run below 55 based on them being light. Way tougher to do this when you weigh 214 compared to 190 or below.

Capt. Tom 🐐
I love Captain Tom. He's an old dude. Not nearly as old as me, but in much better shape than me.
It sucks that 41 is considered an "old dude". I'm approaching that at 38 and still try to think I'm in my 20s.
Now do a 500lb deadlift and 500m row for time. I’d be down for that.
“Chris, the strongest human I know pound for pound… later: Captin Tom, Maybe the the strongest human being I know.” - Nick Which one?
Both! Chris is stronger pound for pound (I.E. based on body weight) but Tom is a stronger person overall.

Another fantastic video Nick. I’ll send you my unedited video of the deadlift and 400m after I find my time machine😃
That was really impressive. I wonder how much the deadlift tires their legs other than just taking up 2 seconds of time.
Surprisingly it didn't rob too much time. Maybe 0.5 to 1 sec at most. The lift and poor start position was the most time.
I so want to try this challenge...but I need to learn how to deadlift first.
