Thanks for the recommendation! Certainly interested in checking out some Dark Horse stuff. Plenty of it being printed in the Marvel Epic Collections at the moment.
Ohhh man, that's a tough call. They're both really great series and I love how they both interweave and then collide in the Vader Down series. If I haaaad to choose, I'd say Darth Vader, marginally. Some really amazing dramatic writing, and I love what they did with the character - love getting to see his more 'human' and vulnerable side!
I don't buy a great deal of comics in hand these days - mostly online, because they're so expensive in store. But we have All Star Comics in Melbourne, which was once voted the "Best Comic Book Shop in the World", so I might do a vlog from there one day.
Sweet video, have u heard they're going to release cool runnings on blu ray as a DMC exclusive!! :) Sucks I don't live in the US but i'll probably get my hands on it somehow (even if I have to pay +$30 🙁)
Thanks man!! YESS!!!! I found out about that a week or so ago and am SO STOKED!!! One of my absolute favourite 90s Disney flicks. Was really hoping it'd get a DMC release after they randomly released Dumbo Drop!! A mate of mine in the US with a DMC account gets all mine for me - but you might get lucky on eBay... SOME sellers do the right thing and charge a decent price. Sometimes you can find them pop up in the Amazon marketplace too!
Hi, dudes: I was wondering if somebody can help me to placing in the right place The Sensational Spider-Man: Self Improvement, and The Amazing Spider-Man: Going Big (and each one of the short stories they contain), both issues related to the Marvel 80th anniversary. The truth is that I am unable to place them in the right place. Are you? Thanks in advance for your great help !!!
I LOVE the Epics! They’re better value for money than the smaller TPBs. For example, you’ll get around 30 comics for about $40 AUD compared to 6 comics for $20 in the smaller TPBs. Great value and an incredibly easy way to collect the older lines.
Dave Lee Down Under thanks, I just bought 5 of the epic collections to start off my own collection: old republic vol 1, rise of the sith vol 1, Clone wars vol 1, and empire vol 1 & 2.
Hey there! I did like the Dameron comic, but it's probably my least favourite of the ongoing series. I think the premise is really strong, and I love it, but I didn't think the execution of the first book was great. Volume 2 just came out, so I'm looking forward to reading it!
Disney Dave Down Under hey thanks for replying, hopefully didn't sound rude! Yeah fair enough the book has been pretty consistent and solid so far I'd stick with it!!
No problem at all! Haha, no, of course you didn't 😁 Awesome, that sounds good. I like that it leads into TFA, one of the questions I always had was how Poe wound up on his mission at the beginning. Waiting for book 2 to go down in price and I'll be grabbing it. Looking forward to it though!
Yep, i only buy trade paperbacks and I buy them all from Book Depository. You can usually get them between $18-$20 on there. Way better than the $30-$40 RRP in stores and much better than $10 per issue. There’s usually 6 issues (an entire story arc) per book
Here you go mate. Make sure to click the TPB tab at the top to filter out all the other stuff like hardcovers. www.starwarsdatapad.com/canon-trade-paperbacks-comic-collections-timeline-release-dates/
The Vader comics are brilliant. Highly reccommend you reading them in tandem with the first few TPBs of the main Star Wars line up until the cross-over at least. Really gives you the full story. I’ve done a video on the timeline of the comics which should help you with the reading order if you decide to jump into the comics.
have you got any of the Omnibuses or the Volumes eg Star Wars: Darth Vader Vol. 1 which has 1-12 in hardback? those seems to be the most affordable way of getting the comics
Disney Dave Down Under the problem is that i am brazilian and my english isnt very good to read and there is no many portuguese versions online. The only way is wait for it
Very cool collection. I'm a comic fan myself, so I can appreciate this.
I’ve been searching for this for days. Thanks
I own all the rebels and all the kanan comics. Bro you need to watch/read them. they are so good
The Lando one was really good. The Darth maul one as pretty good. R u reading the new Darth Vader one as its excellent?

Dude, you have got to get dark horse comics because there super interesting i recommend you start with invasion
Thanks for the recommendation! Certainly interested in checking out some Dark Horse stuff. Plenty of it being printed in the Marvel Epic Collections at the moment.
No way, I wouldn't start with Invasion. Start with Tales of the Jedi then the X-wing books.

GameStriker12 thanks heaps! Much appreciated 😁

Do you have an updated video
How does the epic collection stack up against the smaller individual comics by marvel?

Great Video!
Deluxe Comics thanks dude!
Has clone wars been adapted into a book
I wonder did you like the Poe Dameron comic? You said you liked the art in it but not chewbacca it's the same artist. Hopefully you liked em.
Hey there!

I just bought Star Wars vol 5, and the first volume of Doctor Aphra, so looking forward to getting into them too
Where do I find these
so your comics are in small collections? where do you buy them from? i really want to get some of these comics but they are pretty expensive!

Too sad watch this video because i live in brazil and here we only have star wars and darth vader vol 1 and princess leia yet :/
Ohhh really??? That's such a shame! These have been an amazing series of comics.
Maybe consider importing the English language versions online??
Disney Dave Down Under the problem is that i am brazilian and my english isnt very good to read and there is no many portuguese versions online. The only way is wait for it
William de Almeida that's a shame 😔 your English seems very good to me 😁
Yes, it's good to be patient, I'm sure you will get them soon!
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
This isn't a true "COMIC" collection, should be called graphic novel collection.
No. A graphic novel is something written specifically as a novel. These are trade paperback collections of individual comics, not graphic novels.
Canon is BS.
Shame you feel that way, Alan
Canon is good, but legends is far more expansive. Eventually the new canon will be able to compete with it. I’ve been enjoying it so far.
