As a teenager watching Norwich, Bellamy was my footballing hero. He was such an exciting player to watch every week. It's so nice to hear him talk so well about Norwich City, the people at the club and the area. We'd love to see him back at Carrow Road, it's been far too long. #OTBC

We loved him at West Ham. I was only a kid when he was playing but you looked up to him because you knew he would put that shirt on and give absolutely everything. If he stayed at us he would of become a cult hero or a legend 100% but we all understand why he left.

The one player still gutted never got to see at Spurs, particularly under Harry. Great follow up interview, always interesting to listen to Craig, very down to earth and honest as always. Good luck for the rest of the season and be great to see you back in the premier league next year.

I was in the gym with Iwan Roberts one day he’s from the same village as me and I asked him about Craig because there were lots of stories of him being a pain and he just said with a smile “he’s a winner.” Had a great career but for injuries and some poor choices he could’ve gone even further.

Brilliant interview.
When you factor in how bad Souness treat him (and Laurent Robert) and took Newcastle backwards (from European Football to a relegation battle) within a year of management, Craig Bellamy came in for some unnecessary stick when he faced Newcastle. We should have "sided" with him collectively.
Thankfully, the last 2 times he returned to St James Park, he got a decent ovation when subbed (playing for Liverpool) and as sub (for Cardiff).
A fantastic player and it's a shame people look at a spat with Shearer over his quality and contribution on the pitch.

My favorite Bellamy memory was outside Cardiff Central Station. He was at the taxi rank, kicking the shit out of a taxi door, drunk and screaming at some bird because she refused to go home with him. Good times.

I first saw him play at Maine Rd for Norwich when he was a kid. My uncle was scouting the north west for Palace so we went to see him. He was electric as he banged 2 goals in
We only won once there in 50+ years and I think Drewe Broughton got one,we won 1-2.

This is a breath of fresh air. I grew up in Weston super Vegas ,20 miles south of Bristol. First game was City v Bournemouth, 1985, old division 3 brother took me. And that was me. Fighting with all the Liverpool ‘fans’ at my primary school - none of them having been to a game a taking the mickey out of me for following a shit team. I’m a teacher in Bristol, secondary kids, and first question to newbies always - who do you support? Que Man City, United, Liverpool etc. Second q always the same; City or Rovers? And they always say one or other! Kids just wanna be ‘in’ with a good team. The old values of one team only are few and far.

We don’t talk about Malky because of who he is, it was because of the era he achieved accolades in. We got promoted to the prem for the first time in decades but it was tarnished by the rebrand, our first premier league season wasn’t even bad in terms of performances under Malky, but again, it was in red.
He says he wouldn't sign a rivals shirt but he played for Blackburn and now he's at Burnley 🤷♂️

Come on seriously, he’s talking like he was in Shearer status “turning down united”, he knew he’d be be an impact player coming on with 20-30 min to go. He was a starter with Newcastle, of course you are not going to swap that change in career, every player wants to play week in week out regardless of the level. He was playing every week and he made the right decision to stay, because he wasn’t guaranteed first team football if he had left. A bit of perspective needed here, don’t try to make yourself out to be a signing Ferguson lost sleep over, he basically wanted you to be the new Ole.
