Nice Thompson lawn spray heads, they have great coverage. Cool to revisit a system you installed 30 years ago and see the original equipment still operating like new.
Wow 30 years... they dont make them how they used to.... so its the original owners as well? Damn... I cant imagine calling some guy who installed something for me 30 years ago and getting the same guy.
These brass Thompson sprinklers stand the test of time. All they really need is an occasional cleaning of the screens of debris. I have known these people for a very long time being very close friends of the family. Thank for the comments and for watching…
This is what I think of when I picture a “California” irrigation system. Classic flush mount lawn sprays controlled by automatic anti-siphon valves. It’s great to see it running perfectly on its original equipment. And how about Thompson getting 8 decades out of those sprays?!? I am curious, though, about the controller you used originally on this system.
Thank you for your comments.. Yes! The Thompson heads just seem like to run fine for a very long time. That’s why I choose them for this system. It’s no wonder they were made for many decades. The original controller that was installed with this current system was a 12 station “Irritrol” controller. Before that was either a “Intermatic, Lawn Genie or Richdel” (not sure which one) electro mechanical controller when I installed the new system back in the 90’s. It has now been replaced with a newer updated controller that can be programmed and operated thru a cell phone app. It’s very convenient when checking the sprinkler operation conditions in the field without having to keep going back and fourth to the controller. Thank you for watching..

Thank you for the comments. It was a very special treat to come back and still see everything working nicely. Thanks for watching…
