There's NO "bail bond", eddie. Trump was convicted of fraud. The judge completed a disgorgement process and arrived at a certain dollar amount. Trump wants to appeal the decision and the amount of disgorgement. He needs to pay the disgorgement in order to appeal. That's the normal process. Before the actual appeal was file his attorneys succeeded in getting the disgorgment amount reduced. The appellate court offered no explanation. So, now he has ten days to pay the lower amount if he wants to exercise his right to appeal.
