I have a 1991 405 in my garage. It’s been in there a few years now. What I do is get a load of those moisture traps that people use in caravans and stick them in the car and shut all the windows. Any moisture gets absorbed by them and I haven’t had any problems with mould or damp headlining dropping. 413,000 is awesome mileage
My first car was a R19 1.4 RT, K-reg 1992. I loved that car, my mum gave it to me in 2003 when she bought a Citroen Xsara. All my friends had Novas and none of them had remote locking or electric windows or electric sunroof, but my Renault did. It rusted away, that’s all that was wrong with it. Great car.

I don't get that battery location, seems hard to access for removing/inserting batteries. I seem to recall it was carried over to the Mégane I as well.

Yeah those damp catchers are great. Usually keep them in the cars but didn't get one in the 19 in time, evidently 🤦🤣

It looks worse than it is. They've made it pretty easy to remove with an accessible 7mm bolt and bracket. Changed this battery in about 5 mins 🥸💪🏼
