recieved my keteles k800, 25mph going up a massive 15% hill with both motors running. it goes 26mph with the rear motor so good for a long range ride, it is a 48v 23ah battery.
I can see that being excellent for small deliveries, and as someone else said, picking up young children from school. I do like the idea of the two batteries as well. Not really one for me though as I don't do deliveries, and don't have any young children lol.
But you can use it for grocery shopping, carrying camping gear, my mate got the fido version said it was ideal for his allotment, carries big paper sacks full of chicken feed, and Horse feed, and Dog food, amongst other stuff, he hated going in his car cos it always got mucky even summer cos of horses kicking up mud and the fact it always pees down for months innit. But cargo bikes been a big boon to him, wish they'd had these whem my kids ( in their 40s now ) were young they would have loved to be on back of it. I had a brand new Lada l got for nearly free in a deal, but they wouldnt get in it,,,, too embarrassed incase their friends saw them, even when it was pouring down they would not have a lift to school, but they would have thought these cool.
At first glance the Engwe bikes look amazing but why are they so cheap? Compared to Giant, Cannondale ,Trek ect the same /simular cargo bikes cost 3 K up . Has anybody had used one regualy more then 2 years without any problems?
it is lacking power from 22 km/h till max speed. it is a widely reported and known issue and we have ti wait till engwe is fixing it. the motor is powerfull enough to deliver full power till max speed. don’t get me wrong - I love this bike but until they fix it I would say don’t buy it!
@ no restrictions. less power supply… little more pedaling torque needed to reach max speed and to maintain it. if you don’t feel it or you are not 100% honest or you are not sensitive enough or your bike is the only one not facing that issue. 😀🤷🏽♂️
not on quality bikes. don’t know how many and which models you rode. never ever at 88% of max speed. usually you feel the lack at 99-100% of max speed. depending on motor type weight and bike type. stop protecting engwe. they already know about the issue and confessed it in emails. still they try to sell the early models having this failure.
@Atreju98050 I'm not trying to protect Engwe... I'm giving my experience that other ebikes I have ridden with a torque sensor taper off as you go faster....
So just going to point out a known fault with this bike and has messed people up unless its been changed. That front mud guard falling forward and locking the wheel and wreaking the rider, make sure its attached tightly or just remove it. The company doesnt care so I wouldnt trust this company TBH
@baconbuttties Loctite it. Engwe is okay as long as you can do maintenance on bikes and mod stuff but certainly not recommend for people that aren't mechanically minded. Biggest issue is companies just mass ordering shipping containers of ebikes and dumping them on the EU, UK, USA and Australia ebike market without a care for consumers. This engwe company I certainly wouldn't recommend as ebike company to buy off. I like your channel so please don't think I'm putting you down in anyway or form.
bigger issue is the lack of motor support from 22 km/h till max. a well known issue engwe needs to fix and that most sponsored testers do not mention. independent ones do! when they fix it me and many others probably will buy this one.
Nice one, I hate that hill, but I do do it after about 30 miles
I wouldn't want to do it without electrical assistance 👍
That front rack would be ideal for the Xmas turkey and Brussels sprouts.
🎅👍👍
Now there's lovely for you!
👍👍
Awesome I wanted this one for a review and picking the wee lass up from her school bus as the x26 I have is a tad to high for me
👍👍
Ooh, I’ve been waiting for this one!
👍👍

Now, how do I explain to her indoors that I need one of these ?... Nice reviue ,Thank you
👍👍
Tell her that you bought it for her. She won't use it, so you make use of it.
@garymartin557 😀
Is it possible to derestrict the speed limit to go pass the 25km/h using the systems software?
There probably is, but I don't know how

Yes it is great if you need to carry stuff or children , or both 👍👍

Some of the Engwe bikes that used hydraulic brakes have been very good. The derailleur and gears are usually the entry level type though.

I never noticed any power restrictions. It cuts out at 25kmh 🤔

@Atreju98050 every bike I have ridden with a torque sensor feels like less power as you get close to the speed restriction

It has a lock bolt on the mudguard so shouldn't come lose...

@sten4982 I have tried many ebikes, the manufacturering is no different. All bikes need regular maintenance 👍
