Beside being the most brilliant and funniest comedienne she always looked smashing! The big hair, clothes and accessories- the juxtaposition of how dressed up she looked and then what flew out of her mouth was fabulous! She was a first class show woman. You couldn’t help but be swept up in her energy. Miss her! RIP JR!
I love how, whenever she busts out the 'Can we talk?' catchphrase, it always gets applause because the audience knows she's really about to let loose 😆 miss her terribly, wish I'd had the chance to see her live on stage.
dude it's a bummer she and Carson had a falling out when Joan got the deal for her own show. she's really in her element with these monologues. Just punch, punch, punch. The crowd loves her!
@@justafanintexas7913 That's a lie. She gave NBC a year to negotiate her contract and they refused. Then she finally accepted Barry Diller and Rupert Murdoch's offer to come to FOX.
@@cdhilton7124 - You need to read more. She violated her contract by starting talks while still under Contract to Carson Productions who owned the show, not NBC.
Love Joan, all her jokes were good and she knew how to laugh at herself,i think the reason she did all those plastic surgeries was because of the name calling (according to her ),but i dont think she was ugly, she was amazing.
I don't think Joan was never ugly even after or before her plastic surgery, I think she had low zero confidence about herself. As people say.. we are the worst bullies with ourselves.
I agree that she was always an attractive woman because she took care of herself and dressed elegantly. However, some of her best jokes were the ones where she made fun of herself. I think people related to her more because she did that type of humor. We could all see some of our own insecurities and laugh at them.
I miss Joan.. I’ve been watching so many videos of her and watching them all at once, you realize how often she says “IT IS JUST“ after a joke.. it’s a little much after a while lol must’ve been a bad habit, she did it back then, and when she was way older. But god this woman was everything to me, miss her so much :(
I'm sure it's because that colored curtain was so identified with Johnny Carson, they wanted her to have her own look and keep that background just for him.
@@MusicalAtmosphere But it wasn't just for him. All the other guest hosts used it, including regular guest hosts. So I lean to the idea that it was a creative judgment she made- she had an amazing eye for all kinds of things- but of course I'm just guessing and would love to know the real story from anyone who was there.
She's lookin' good here. She just had no clue about what would happen later. (And she's not the only one. Look at Kim Novack. So sad.) But leaving aside, this is peak Joan Rivers. She's just brilliant.
God does have a sense of humour. He humbles the male human ego thinking only men can be most funny not beautiful human females. He creates Joan Rivers a human female that is not only beautiful and sexy but also so funny that your stomach can hurt from laughing so hard The only Female Comedian ever who is not only sexy and beautiful but also can make me laugh uncontrollably so hard my stomach hurts. God had a special plan when He created her.
I was fortunate to see Joan Rivers in St.Louis,MO.Its too bad she and Johnny Carson had a falling out. I think she would have done a much better job than Jay Leno. I don't even watch him.Micheline Kribs. Rolla,MO
I miss her so much. Had the honor of meeting her a few times. She was pure joy and brutally honest.

She was an amazing ball of energy! What came out of her mouth was gold! Miss her.
Queen of Comedy. Saw her twice- talked to her once- the best. Thank you for the videos to keep her humor and unmatchable delivery alive!
I love how, whenever she busts out the 'Can we talk?' catchphrase, it always gets applause because the audience knows she's really about to let loose 😆 miss her terribly, wish I'd had the chance to see her live on stage.
She's the greatest. Much love to Joan.
R.I.P.Joan,you were the only one to make me laugh out loud on my own.xxx
Nurse brought a puppy wrapped in a blanket and said it looks like you! LOL! She was the best.
This is why I adore this woman.
Nurse, I think I'm bleeding internally! She said: Swallow a band-aid. What a great joke!
The world now is a much less funnier without her... RIP JOAN
Totally agree 👍
"oh please! she told Helen Keller to shut up!" hahaha it kills me every time!
I miss her.
God the studio audiences LOVED her!
OMG, I miss Joan soooooooo much. ♥️
What a talent! I never knew!
I miss Joan so fucking much!! Nobody will ever be this funny and she despite what she said was gorgeous too!
You have a taste for shit.
She was always 15 minutes ahead of the conversation !
Rip Joan. You'll be missed
I so love this woman 😀
TERRIFIC! I LOVE THESE RARE "TONIGHT SHOW" CLIPS!
This was definately the prime of Joan's career.
Joan Rivers, the GREATEST comedienne, and she's gone......
Well, not the BEST, but I thought she was quite funny...
She didn't take long pauses after a joke . They came at you rapid fire . 👍
dude it's a bummer she and Carson had a falling out when Joan got the deal for her own show. she's really in her element with these monologues. Just punch, punch, punch. The crowd loves her!
She violated her contract and got what she had coming.

I love her 80's evening gowns!
her jokes are timeless - even though you heard it a million times!

Man losing her was a huge blow to the tonight show.

Amazing woman and comedian! the queen of comedy! Thank you and good bye Joan rivers.
Genius comedy!
this is hysterical!
Wow, Melissa is 50 now!!! Time truly flies🤔🤨😛
One of a kind.
LOL She is right about the Nurses!
Melissa looks a lot like Joan in the last video... Wow! Splitting image
It was "Joan's" risky side of the mouth, under your breath comments (usually about sex) that always got me laughing
"dust for fingerprints" lol
The QUEEN!
Can we talk?
Love it and I needed a laugh today!
She was good back in the day!
the most clever comedian
"Where's everyone going?!?" LOL
Love this!
please can we have every Joan Rivers episode from the Tonight Show.
What I love? she didn't need coccaine..this is natural talent!💔😎🥰🥰🥰
Would love to know what made her decide to do the monologues from in front of the desk instead of the curtain. Made it very distinctive.
I'm sure it's because that colored curtain was so identified with Johnny Carson, they wanted her to have her own look and keep that background just for him.

@@mikestevenson576 Okay, good points. Well, as you said, it was good that she had her with her own distinction during the monologues.
@@MusicalAtmosphere Thanks and I really appreciate you posting the clips. What an incredible phenomenon she was at this moment in her career.
I can still remember the joke, "Marie Osmond is such a Preppy, she breastfeeds her baby with a straw!"
Rest in peace, Joan.~
She's hilarious!
She was brilliant. And even in the 1980's it was shocking for a woman to talk like this.
She is so funny. I miss her😢.
Wendy Williams be jocking Joan."Can we talk."
😩💯💯
R.I.P Joan
I had no idea she was this funny.
She was so good. What a loss.
Nurses are still so freekin MEAN in 2020! OMHG!! Fire them all!
I can't believe she died. \3

Joan was hot.
The black dress clip, where can I find it? I've been looking but couldn't find it yet.
She knows how to deliver a joke. She is/was one of a kind, though she could change up some of her old material a little more.
RIP....

Hilarious 😂
she's really funny.....before i've seen this I thought well if she can make it

She back-stabbed Johnny, violated her contract and got punished for it.
Howie and the Slept King sent me
Can we talk!
I suspect she knew the 80s women with shoulderpads thing was a joke
micheal jackson puts both gloves!! hahaha
Hilarious
After she got her own show Carson never spoke to her again
Is that jacket Issey Miyake?
Shes funnier now.....more out spoken
Not anymore. And towards the end she was a bitter, old bitch.
When she says "Oh, Oh!" I just wanna slap her.
Shes really funny. Now there is no talent. . Sad
Being Nasty 🤮 will never be funny!
Good riddance to bad humor!
