YES! This video is exactly what I needed. I also had a broken light (Hit & Run..UGH) and the local collision shop and dealer wanted over $1000 to replace entire mirror assembly. I bought a replacement light unit, watched this video, and within about 40mins, It was replaced for under $50. Had a hard time getting new one in quite right. You do need to push up pretty hard to clip it.THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!

Thats the auto darkening. You can buy a replacement piece of glass. No tint tho for like 30 bucks on Amazon

Exactly the info I needed. I have the same year model Ram and lost the same cover.
I was going a little nuts because my lens had broken out except the top part was still in there - it didn't have the electrical lines showing like in your video, so I though I was looking at where the new light fixture was supposed to fit in, but it didn't have the slot for the vertical tab. So, your video cleared up the mystery. I was able to remove the top of the old lens and install the new in about 10 minutes. Thanks.

I just bought a 2011 and the driver's side was out, and lens was falling out. Dealer had super glued the lens into the assembly and part of the actual mirror foundation. Took a razor along the edges, and then using your video was able to pop that sucker out. Awfully stubborn for a while. The female connections from the mirror were corroded, so cleaned those up. Went in and working like a champ. Thanks for a great video!

After my dealership told me I needed to replace the whole mirror because you can't just but the light... found the light on eBay for $20. Then, I found your video.
$20 bucks and 5 mins of my time my puddle light is replaced .

Thanks, this helped me on my 2018 ram, some ahole decided to smash it off. So don't do what I did and order a knock off from amazon, order the Mopar part ($90). The screw driver is helpful as it doesn't just snap in, you have to pull on the mirro frame a bit. Wouldn't of known that without this video.

Helpful thanks. Mine didn't pop out quite as easily on my 11 Laramie. It definitely took a little "convincing" from the bottom and side of the old light. I got it out though and plugged in the new. The re-install wasn't as easily done like in the video either. I had to use a small screwdriver to get it to drop into the final position. No damage to the light nor mirror though. Works great now.

Sorry to hear your glass got hit. I got lucky to get a OEM for the driver side, but I eventually changed the passenger side with an aftermarket. Both are pretty much the same. Thanks for watching!

I agree my 2015 has the exact same housing design not the bullshit under the mirror design I’m thinking about just ordering them I can’t be the only one
While placing the assembly back into the mirror the lens cover popped off. Is there a way to re glue or fix this issue?

It’s easier to remove the glass, remove the 3 screws holding the bezel in place which makes removeing and installing the puddle/turn signal lamp super easy.
