It's a beautiful little creek, cool and clean on a blazing hot day. As the video shows, there are some amazing veins in the rock, especially in the boulder field above the swimming hole depicted at 4:42. The creek has moved around a bit since I was last up there about 30 years ago. It used to be possible to get behind that waterfall and stand on a ledge there. However, please be very careful not to be drawn into the overall itself. It can hold you down, and all the bubbles coming up around it lower your buoyancy. There's a reason why it's locally called Suicide Creek. Another reason lies about half a klick downstream, where there's a narrow vertical canyon with a fairly deep gravel pool at the bottom. It's possible to step off the top of that cliff and fall straight down to the pool. Prevailing advice is to wear shoes and keep your knees slightly bent, as you will touch bottom. It's a long way down, time to have serious regrets.
We used to swim and dive at Webster Corner (Finish Hall area) on Dewdney Trunk Road, but that was a long time ago. Probably the same Creek? It was great.
Love this river. What km mark up the gravel road is this one? Have filmed a few spots up there too. But havent come across the first location with the slide. Cheers guys 👍👍😬
I was up in the Chilliwack valley yesterday and there are mushrooms all over the place. Lots of boletes, found a bunch of lobster mushrooms and a few golden chanterelles started up there. Good luck you should find lots.
If you drive and park at the Dead End road, go thru the gates and you're at the train bridge, do you turn left or right? I'd love to take my dog up to these
It’s up the FSR - I’ve only been there that one time and I found it because there were other cars parked in that area. I remember there being another side road attached to the main one.

Awesome channel man, great to see local friends out about. Love norrish!
Ya I want to explore Norrish more next year. Thanks for the video likes!
I love these types of locations.

I think your area was a different creek maybe.
@@FISHWILD never knew the name of the waterfall and creek. Stayed at the Hall, and we all used that Finnish sauna a lot.
Been going to nourish since I was a baby. Would love to know where this spot is. It looks absolutely beautiful
Is this spot past the Gate (the gate is around the 7.5 - 8km mark) on the FSR ?
no where in canada are the woulds like they are on the west coast of B C.
Or the would-knots.
Or woods even.

Have you found norris creek slides
That looks like good mushroom territory!
Wild Mushroom Hunter I haven’t checked. I have some spots that are at a lower elevation that I’m planning to check this weekend.

Wild Mushroom Hunter Sweet! Thanks! I look forward to seeing some videos from you.

This is it!!! I've been searching for directions to this spot for 4 months, how do I visit this spot??? 😀😀😀
7:30 very interesting

Tony Budda you need to go up Norrish Creek FSR to get to this spot - we’ve only been there once - we saw a bunch of cars parked and just walked in.
@@FISHWILD Is that at the gate that's locked? Or go further on foot? I heard something about a lower road too....?
@@ellonysman Ya, there is a lower road that runs along the train tracks - but the spot on this video is further up Norrish Creek FSR.
@@FISHWILD 5km area
down a 4x4 road then to the right is an animal trail..watch for it, 2 minutes to the river
Also known as Suicide Creek ?
Looks great!!!! Are you heading out this year for deer?
GoPro Goalie Uzi yes - I’m going to try Region 8 on my next time off. 4 point or better at this time of year. How about you?
@@FISHWILD can you tell us exactly how to find this spot??
Who knows how to find up the forestry road?
@@ellonysman I’m not sure exactly how to describe where it is - but we found it after driving quite a distance up Norrish Creek FSR
@@FISHWILD and how far up tho? At the gate?
Where is it? This a secret??
How do I find it? Nobody will say 😆
