      @@devinnoel8859 Hey! Check the updated video(s) I have on this build, it might be more clear to see step by step how to make patterns and order. Also, you did not provide any info of what version or modpack you play. Make sure that other auto-crafting is in order and works (so that crafting CPU is running and all that).

      @therealtkh  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@devinnoel8859 Yes, you need crafting CPU (crafting storage) in your network for any auto-crafting to work. Note that I have placed my cpu:s just behind, but in a "normal" network you might have them in other places. I have made lots of AE2 videos (check the playlist), covering both auto-crafting, large controllers and large networks. I suggest starting small, and maybe try things in creative to make sure the fundamentals are working before stepping up.

It must be a glitch or something but the bus' and other machines were online and had power but the inscriber didn't show it. The Storage bus was online so I just continued on. I also I didn't know that on the pattern terminal you can change the crafting to processing by clicking the little crafting table tab. The inscribers still show 0 energy but everything works! Okay so for anyone wondering why your crafting cpu says "missing X circuits". It's because the pattern he has encoded in this video is the raw material not the circuit. This is because processing patterns work like so: "Send X items to (wherever you have the patterns stored, in this case ME interface)" and wait for output of Y.
    Swap out the circuits for the raw materials to make the circuits and you'll be good to go.

    • @fennecfox3140
      @fennecfox3140 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The same goes for silicon, make sure its RAW MATERIAL silicon in the pattern, not printed silicon. Basically just rewatch his pattern encoding part and follow it without any implied knowledge or foreward thinking, take it at face value lol.

      Hey and thanks for sharing your result :) I just downloaded the AOF4 pack and built this myself and can confirm the change to a Pattern Provider, but it's actually equal with the build in this video as you can export items into the Pattern Provider just as I do in the video to an Interface! Not sure if this will not be lost in the comments but for those that play version 1.19.2 with the blue ME interface block and yellow ME pattern provider it is important to understand how ME interface and provider works. in AE2 1.18.2, you need to set your me storage buses to 'insert only' AND 'filter on insertion only' or else the circuits won't get transferred to the top inscriber.

      In my 1.18.1 pack (AE2 version 10.0.1) it works fine with Storage Bus set to "Filter on Insertion Only" and both "Insert Only" and "Bi-Directional" works fine with that. I would expect this setting to NOT work with "Insert Only" as it would disable circuits to be extracted. I wonder if there's something weird at play here... Need to investigate this further and maybe talk to devs about it. Thanks for getting back with results!

    I built this in my SkyFactory 2.4 world, and it worked fine at first (after I fixed some of my own errors.) However, I recently added acceleration cards to make everything faster, but it keeps putting printed silicon into the inscriber that makes the printed silicon. The import bus doesn't remove it either, because it's not in the square on the right, so it just sits there and prevents more silicon from being made.
    I suspect that the acceleration cards have something to do with this, because this only started happening after I added them. Is this the result of the cards? If so, which ones do I remove?

    • @therealtkh
      @therealtkh  ปีที่แล้ว

      It sounds like you forgot to put a quartz fiber to separate the "mini network" to extract silicon (otherwise it wouldn't go back to the same inscriber). And possible wrong filter in the storage bus... I have stacked full acceleration cards in every inscriber and have no problems. Also, as I interpret your problem it wouldn't be because of acc. cards.

      @@therealtkh If you're referring to the quartz fiber placed at 5:50, then I did indeed place that one. I haven't found any other errors, in the storage buses or otherwise. I agree that acceleration cards being the problem makes no sense, but the issue only happens if the cards are in play.

    When I go to craft the logic processor it shows that I'm missing the printed logic circuit. It does the same for the other processors and their circuits. I can't figure out how to fix it. It's not trying to make the logic circuits, it's trying to only take them from storage

      It sounds like your pattern is wrong. Your system should never know or care about printed circuit or silicon. The middle step is handled outside the system. The only thing we do is sending gold ingot + silicon + redstone and get a logic processor back.

    Hello!
    I have a lot of troubles understanding what's going on in this build, I know how AE2 works in general but when there's quartz fiber in play I'm lost.
    I have a few questions, I know it's been a year that this video is out but it'd be amazing if you could answer me !
    1: How can you have more than 8 channels on this setup ?
    I see you're using a quartz fiber to hook up two inscribers with a storage bus and an import bus.
    2: Why would you use 2 ME Interfaces ?
    I've seen an answer you gave to someone else in the comments but for some reasons I still don't get it. I know it has to do with the fact that the first Interface is pushing the items into the second one, which could (maybe?) be replaced with a chest and it'd be the same thing (I think ?) but does it has to do with like the number of channels ? And also, why would you need a quartz fiber on top of those Interfaces ? Maybe I just don't know how distributing power through the network works, since all the tutorials I've seen were just like "oh yea quartz fiber transfers power" but no examples.
    I really hope I can get an answer because I can't seem to find them anywhere else, or maybe I'm just too dumb to understand what's going on lmao. (Also, I'm playing on FTB Infinity 1.7.10 Modpack)
    Thank you however if you decide to help me with this, it'd be a great help.

    • @therealtkh

      Hi! First I need to say that there is an updated build for newer versions of the mod. Make sure to check it out! Also, I have a playlist with 50+ more tutorials and builds for AE2 in the video description.
      1. I am separating the networks so the small network (with inscribers) is a standalone network and completely separated thanks to quartz fiber - it will transfer power but keep the networks separated. A very important part of AE2!!! For a "main network" you might have much more than 8 channels but then you probably have an controller to handle all the channels.
      2. You said it. They are facing each other but are in different networks - only to put and receive items. And as you can see in the updated build I use a chest there instead - works better in some versions for reasons I don't understand. I have covered the quartz fiber block in an old video and it's a part of fundamental AE2.
      Hope this helps, otherwise jump on to Discord to discuss it further!

      They have updated some filter setting for the storage bus so you need to filter on insertion only or add the printed part in the storage bus filter. There's also something fishy with how auto-crafting works now because it will only make one at a time... solved by adding a chest to receive items. I really should cover all this in a new video!

    • @therealtkh
      @therealtkh  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I first need to say that this build has been updated with later releases of the mod. Nowadays a Pattern Provider is used instead of the first Interface. But you are right, the two networks are completely separated. The first Interface holds the patterns which means that the network will send all items through this Interface when auto-crafting is initiated. The receiver of the items is that second (flat) Interface. In an updated build I have exchanged the receiver interface with a chest which means that the first Interface (Pattern Provider) will put all items in the chest and then import them to the network with an Import Bus in a more controlled way. For some reason it works better sometimes, but that's only needed in the 1.19 versions (at the time of writing this).

    @Lillian404NotFound 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey, newbie here! I followed your guide to the letter, but it isn't working. I checked, and we both have the same version. Everything works perfectly, except that the Printed Calculation Circuit is never pulled out of the interface to be made into Calculation Processors. I have no idea what's wrong. Update: Narrowed down some things. If there are Printed Calculation Circuits inside the network, it will put them into the interface but NOT into the inscriber. If there AREN'T Printed Circuits, it will craft them and put them into the inscriber, but will NOT put the redstone or printed silicon into the inscriber or interface.

    • @therealtkh
      @therealtkh  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure I follow but it almost sounds like a problem with the patterns in the main network (it's the most common mistake). How do they look?

    • @Lillian404NotFound
      @Lillian404NotFound 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@therealtkh the same as yours. I replaced every pattern twice over, and both calculation recipes. I took apart the thing so I could rebuild it from scratch. Sorry if I made it sound confusing, I'll try and simplify: If there are calculation circuits inside the me system, it will take one of those and put it in the flat interface and leave it there, and put the redstone and printed silicon into the inscriber. I'm not sure why, since I had the export bus configured to take all circuits and put it into the inscriber. But on the flip side, without any calculation circuits, it will take the pure certus quartz, make a calculation circuit, then put it into the inscriber but without even interacting with the redstone or silicon. Those last two bits just never appear anywhere in that system. Every other recipe works perfectly.

    • @Lillian404NotFound
      @Lillian404NotFound 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Update: THANK YOU for bringing my attention to the patterns. Turns out I set the encoded pattern to make the processors with printed circuits instead of certus quartz. I changed that and it works like a charm.

    • @therealtkh
      @therealtkh  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Lillian404NotFound Ah, good to hear that! As I said, it's the most common mistake to make because we all know the pattern for processors has the circuits, but we don't need to care about that because the main system is only interested in what parts we send and what we get back. What happens in the other network is not relevant as long as it works :)

    Doesn’t seem to work at all in 1.18.2. All the products stay in their inscribers, and even with export buses trying to push them elsewhere, the storage bus does not (will not?) pull them out of the inscriber inventory.
