Shoutout to Gerard for making music again. The fact that no one was even making him come back and he just did it because he loves music makes it even better.
I love how he as a person has changed and so has his style to create a new sound. But when he sings, you can still feel the Gerard from MCR that we all know and love. The person the feels deep emotions and uses it to help others and make them feel less alone. He still has the same drive to create art, but has changed up the style, just like he changed and grew as an individual. It's beautiful.

My daughter passed away a year ago today. It's made the thought of Christmas make me sick. Christmas hurts really badly and typically so does any Christmas music. I took a chance on this because I am a big fan and this really reiterated why. This song is beautiful. It really encapsulated the feeling of loving something so magical and so far away in the season somehow and that feeling I got gave me true comfort for the first time in a long time. My daughter made me feel whole, safe, and happy and I long more than anything to be with her again. The words in this song really resonated with those emotions and are making me feel like maybe she's my holiday spirit after all. thank you. I dont think this was the intent with the song but it sure made me feel a little better.

I’m just glad the Gerard still sings songs for everyone. It’s sad that it’s not with MCR, but I accept it and I still love his songs. Gerard helped a lot of us through depression and anything sad, so I appreciate him being real. I feel like we would all be nothing if it wasn’t for him.

Know what I sit in my room on a normal day and still listen to MCR. I am sitting on my bus and I listened to that and it was one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard that angelic voice sing. Honestly I couldn’t be more glad Gerard came back with music it’s lifted my spirts. I love his music and will continue to love his music for a very long time. It’s important we remember his accomplishments back then but it’s more important to recognize his accomplishments now. He’s doing such an amazing job making a Netflix series, making comics, and creating amazing music. He’s doing a lot for us and he deserves recognition for all of it. I often think about the last 15 years of my life... standing in the mall plucking the bullets album from the shelf for the first time, staying up late to watch my chem on mtv or fuse with the volume all the way down because I was supposed to be sleeping, saving up my lunch money to buy tbp special edition box, and likewise saving up my lunch money to buy the danger days special edition box, seeing them for the first time on my 17th birthday, and crying on my living room floor after hearing about their split... Even though it was all of my chem that made up my childhood, Gerard was the voice of all that. Just hearing his voice brings me ultimate peace - a reminder of my childhood and how even in adulthood, they will always have a piece of my heart. MCRmy forever.

I’m 24 and they’ve been my fav band for 12 years so I grey up part of the MCRmy and while it sounds stupid, I find a sense of nostalgia and feel more of a connection when people say MCRmy instead of killjoys. To me killjoys represents the fun side of it all, but the army represents the true meaning of the band, Gerard creating it and fighting his wars against depression and alcohol and drugs while the fans fought with him and stood by him. That’s why I’ll always say MCRmy and not killjoy and I just loved that you used that term too. Audrey Vasquez I love that you said MCRmy and now killjoys. I’m 24 and they’ve been my fav band for 12 years so I grey up part of the MCRmy and while it sounds stupid, I find a sense of nostalgia and feel more of a connection when people say MCRmy instead of killjoys. To me killjoys represents the fun side of it all, but the army represents the true meaning of the band, Gerard creating it and fighting his wars against depression and alcohol and drugs while the fans fought with him and stood by him. That’s why I’ll always say MCRmy and not killjoy and I just loved that you used that term too. No offense to anyone that says their a killjoy, just personally MCRmy represents more for me as their music at that time was personally more relatable and deep

Everyone’s comparing this to any MCR song that sounds slightly similar but can we just appreciate how great this is?? I’ve loved Gerard’s solo stuff from the second he put a short clip of Action Cat on his website. He’s a brilliant artist and this song is no exception.
