You're awesome! I am new to the photoshop and I learn a lot from your tutorials. You explain it in such a simple way, it is impossible not to get it. Thank you!
First time at using PS on my macbook (usually just use the ipad and basic options) so so helpful, and made such a difference on my first go. Thank you!
oh yes , I have seen that tut . that is where I got the whole idea from . but I need the whole thing covered for maximum effect , thanks for considering , I hope that tut sees the light of day . cheers and keep up the interesting tuts ...
I loved ur tutorial coz u make it in simplified but great result. Bro can u share here how to get the sepia tones in portrait post process. Even cinematic toning please. Thank you in advance. Husk85 ( Dubai )
You can do the same in Gimp, only there you have 3 sliders(the middle one is for general brightness of the picture), but other than that it's exactly the same. Colors → Levels
thank you for this info. i recorded my favorite black and white action for photoshop thanks you your tutorial. it was easy and just what i was looking for. wasn't impressed with the ones i could download.
i cannot reset the gradients as he did in this video. that adjustments gradient map doesn't appear, and there is no "reset gradients" on the drop down menue
Hi! I was wondering, if you have a tutorial/tip for converting a batch of colored images to B&W all at once? is this something I can do in ACDSee or Photoshop CS2? Many thanks!
Hi. I was wondering if you can do a black and white book cover but the eyes has color? Like its glowing? And do you know if it's possible to change the eye color?
can you make a video on how to make yourself a statue ? me and my girl have a photo where we stand together and would like to make us statues and place beside some beach or building or on some pedestal or whatever ... thanks a lot ...
+Justin | JustThisGood.com [late reply] thanks so much! I appreciate it. One more question: Any suggestions on removing matte texture from a scanned image? I found a plug in but I can't seem to get it to work :(
this is good but the kids face is clipping like crazy, if you applied a normal gradient map first then masked in the parts where you wanted the more dramatic black and white (eyes, etc) it would probably be better. still a good video for people to learn from though!
Wow..Don't get me wrong...opinions are just opinions...but mine is, the one on the right looks like a normal soft baby. the one on the left looks like an alien baby....Its just not what you actually see in real life...over sharpening/detail is the biggest culprit...but hey some may like an alien baby look. I know your vid was to help., so I am not slamin the vid ...just throwing an opinion
Hello, do you know "Photo SFXart Tricks" (just google it)? On their website you can watch a nice free video explaining how you can take outstanding pictures. This helped Matt to take photographs which have a jaw-dropping-effect while you look at them. I hope it helps you as well.

whats the difference between this and just doing a contrast with the curves tool?
Curves would probably give more control, this is a quick and dirty way to use the tones in the image to increase contrast

I believe in Lightroom this also can been done.
Outdated, the "first gradient that comes up" is actually a pink colored shade...
Right we’ll this is over 10 years old but hopefully still applies in less specific ways
there is still no skin detail on the skin of the child's t zone
Too much, you lost skin details.
PhotoZen what would u have done differently
