My day isn't made whole until a 4'11 90lb soccer mom runs me off the road in one of these.
😂😂😂😂
Are you by chance a rhode islander?
The Live Laugh Love type?
Hope not 😅
😂 sounds like my wife but with a grand wagoneer. Head close to the windshield
The vehicle for the soccer mom who can’t be bothered with the curbs or speed bumps at the Starbucks drive thru.
😂
Perfect for tailgating someone going 70 in a school zone
Common American family of 4 vehicle right here.
Damm straight. What a truck!
Nothing like having plenty of space!
Nothing like having an unreliable, dangerous for passengers and pedestrians, overpriced, inefficient car, and 90% of the time one small women will be the driver. America!!!
@@ethanh4778 it’s plenty safe for passengers though. I love it, like an suv version of my work truck
@@Mrfix-iz4di Just wait till they get hit in the side or back. It will flip over 90% of the time. I am a volunteer firefighter and almost all the rollovers we have are big dumb trucks like the Tahoe.
I really like all the upgrades that comes with the Z71 package, makes it look a little more rugged and aggressive.
Incandescent rear turn signals at an almost $80K price point is ridiculous.
If I was paying 70k for a large suv like that...I would want adaptive cruise control
Should be standard for that much money! GM is always bad at packaging adaptive cruise on their cars.
For real that comes standard on a Civic, and that’s 1/3 of the price.
Comes standard on a Corolla or a Camry or any sedan for cheaper.
People interested in a Suburban should at least cross-shop the Nissan Armada. Yeah, I know, Nissan's reputation is crap, and the Armada is riding on a platform that is (by auto industry standards) absolutely ancient, but the build quality and standard tech features are both exceptional for the price point. Its 5.6 liter V8 also sounds great and has more horsepower and torque than the GM 5.3.
What’s crazy is a Suburban in the 90’s would only cost 42k adjusted for todays inflation
I’m not anti-truck at all but these things are just obnoxiously huge. They look like they are driving around on shopping cart wheels even with 19’s or 20’s.
They're supposed to be big
@@turkeyswissandcheddaronwho8203 Most of the time the idiots driving it aren't so big.
Don't buy one then.
Wow, that tour was absolutely amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The tour guide was fantastic and made the whole thing so exciting!
its a very useful truck, but man the prices have gone sky high on these to the point you have to step back and tell yourself you're paying 80 thousand dollars for a chevy
I think the only Chevy products worth $80K would have to be the higher trim Camaro and Corvette models, their performance warrants that type of price tag. You don’t see many “basic,” non-performance vehicles like this with that high of a price and for a good reason IMO
@@Justin_GFM I think the only GM products that are worth buying period are these big SUVs, pickup trucks and their performance cars like the Corvette and the V Series Cadillacs. IMO everything else in between from GM just isn't very good, like most of their smaller crossovers aren't very good.
Thank you for the review!
Great SUV!
This would be great for camping!
Honestly it isn't as excessive as I thought it would be.
The interior quality is definitely getting better as time goes on. I'd be curious to hear if you prefer this interior over the Ford Expedition.
And it sounds like you're a little under the weather, hope you're just tired and not getting sick!
what to do woth that 3.5 liter pn the expedotion, on this at least you can get the old v8 6.2 which is a good engone right?
i love watching these videos,
These are the ultimate Mormon assault vehicles 😂
Seems like for 80k they could drum up a little better than the same 5.3 they put in their bottom-of-the-barrel work truck.
For 80k the 6.2 or the duramax should be standard
True. 5.3 is blah.
It has plenty of power, our school has one of these and pared with the 10 speed trans, it gets from 0-60 with barely any application to the throttle. Very smooth, gets up to speed fast.
The 5.3 is plenty of Grunt, it’s a Chevy Suburban, upgrading to the 6.2 would really just make for a smoother more refined powertrain, not necessarily a faster Suburban. The 10 speed automatic with it’s close gear ratios also helps a lot with keeping you in the torque band, so it gets up to speed pretty easily regardless of the engine.
It’s also just a pushrod V8, it’s a pretty outdated powertrain, these V8s just can’t match the power level of a turbo 6 cylinder, it’s 6 cylinder competitors have a big advantage in power over these V8s
I run E-85 in mine. It has been a trouble free machine for 90,000 miles.
I like our Tahoe with the 5.3L engine, but as I like to describe it, “V8 sounds, but no V8 feels.”
How would you rank the offerings you've driven in this category?
can you start talking about the headlights, how they preform on the road at night, any available features, like adaptive etc
0:12 that chime 😍
The Automatic Slide On The Center Console Is "Excellent"
🆗️✅️💯
Just reserved a rental one of these for 4 people, 2 dogs and a ton of cargo for a trip from NC to Long Island. We rented one for NY to Florida in 2017 and it was amazing to drive, kids each had a row and felt safe driving on 95 with all the 18 wheelers. Too expensive for us to afford but if you can rent one for a trip, it's really good.
My boyfriend is getting one of these delivered in a month, I’m so excited 😍
The 5.3 is a unicorn. Solid motor. Oil change at 400 miles and RXP catch can.
For some reason on the highway it seems pretty loud. I know you mentioned that it was a little extra windy but still seems a lot considering its 77k price tag.
I thought the same. No excuse for a car at this level to be loud at highway speeds.
It may be the fact that the road is wet, as well as that the tires are knobby(?) I leased the previous generation (Suburban LT) and thought it was very quiet on the road. Holding a conversation inside, at a normal volume, was perfectly doable.
i love this car
can you take a look at the new 2023 hyundai elantra n line
I’d get one of these GM full-size SUVs with the Duramax. Best of both worlds having better mileage than the gas V8s, and still good torque.
I wouldnt because gone are the days of reliable diesels, thanks to the epa, and the amount of money spent on def will make driving it cost the same as driving a gas variant, I would go 6.2
Can you please take a picture of the GMC At4?
These 5.3 V8’s sound so good. Especially with the quad tips.
..that’s the 6.2
@@Dan-yk3kyno it’s a 5.3, he says it at 22 seconds
@@Dan-yk3kyit’s a 5.3 smart guy
We love our 22 Sub Z71, no problems so far with 12k miles. Have not done any offroading besides driving on Daytona Beach. It also fits in my garage, by an inch, lol.
How's the tire roar? Is it noticeable?
@@TooMuchButtHair not noisy yet, rotated them at each oil change
Chevy, GMC, Cadillac sure know how to make that platform look badass if you ask me. I just wish the reliability matched older suburban's.
Idk about anyone else but i reeeeallllyyyy hate this new trend of Sterilite tote box interiors in the car industry of gray mostly-plastic combined with blue screens. Looks like a gray tote box from walmart 😂
Is tire roar noticeable on the Z71?
I love the old suburbans that were on truck chassis. The new one is fine on the pavement.
Woof... I may be out on my own island here, but Chevy interiors remind me of the "just get it done so we can go home" work ethic.
I traded mine in for the new yukon😂 I needed better seats and more options.
I was suprised when you started it that it was a 5.3, I thought it sounded like a 3.0 duramax
nice car
Next please do GMC denali 2023 !!!
Offroading you say huh?
This suburban is to offroading what Justin bieber is to MMA.
I rented similar truck I think this is king suv like you say. Space comfort v8 Is great I would deff drive one if I dint drive so much.
I wish it had the Duramax 6.6 V8
That display looks like an early 2000s Vtech kids laptop screen.
An amazing family car and very smooth like every Chevy
Yooo dude actually this seems like a good family car i kight save up for this when i have a family
Topher, I have a question, I have the 21 Chevrolet Tahoe with a 5.3 V8 aswell and I want to know if it has AFM or DFM or not!
Any gm v8 06+ has some sort of afm/dfm
I wonder how good this would really do off-road?
Tfl off-road has a video abt it
I have an 05 Z71 and it does pretty damn well off-road, can't imagine this would be much worse.
GM changed the turn signal pace for 2023 12:48
7:09 From a usability/quality standpoint, sure. However, I don't want Google to know where my car is at all times. I'd much rather have fully offline (yes, offline) maps from manufacturers or to have my phone serve as navigation, should I need Google's services.
2023 Chevrolet Suburban Z71 5.3L Ecotec3 V8 10-Speed Automatic 4X4!
i hate how they deleted the seat in the middle of the second row
Bro WTF?? SNOW IN MAY???
I like Chevrolets. Very spacious vehicles
Come to Birmingham MI bro i wanna meet you lmao
Also if u want twisty country roads check out Hines drive!! But u probably already knew that
Hello sir, can you please post more 2022 gr86 videos ?
Is it me or did it have a slight lifter tick? Did anyone else hear it too?
I wish we had this in the UK
well you can have it but it's very expensive or just wait 10 years it will be cheap enough
@@mehdih8165 the thing is, will it though? With people pushing EVs, I feel any ICE car with an engine will be expensive
Chris, How strange is it to drive and review a vehicle that is larger than your house? 🤔
Makes me want to LS swap my house!

I'm not sold on the fact this vehicle is $80k and not only is it not a luxury vehicle but it's not the top trim and has a weak motor that should only be in the base model or not at all considering the weight of this vehicle. The 6.2 should be standard on this trim and above at the very least. But if ignorant people who obviously have $80k to easily burn on non luxurious vehicles albeit very useful and a limited option if realy needed. The issue is that $80k doesn't seem to buy you much nowadays considering just 20 years ago these vehicles were half the price new and achieved basically the same intended purpose.
Troph would you go E45 coupe or Tahoe, both 21's? Warranty of course on the Benz but the gas on the Tahoe but has the reliability. I'm stuck broski
I'm praying I will afford one of those dude.
again youuuu ahhhhh
2015-2020 are the best years . Chevy getting down on folks charging $80,000 for just a new year
355hp out of 5.3L modern V8 seems kinda weak.
“Look at all this space back here”…not NEARLY as much as the suburban used to have!
Last time I check it out used 2022 z71 on the paper prices was 67K$ when me and my wife asked for outdoor they're wanting 76k$ now I just finds out z71 don't have adaptive cruise control, well I change my plans probably we will get 2024 grand highlander hybrid max
Same - drove 3 hours from home to go look at at 22 with 33k miles on it, dealer wouldn’t budge off of 68k BEFORE TTL etc….couldn’t believe it. Ended up ordering a 23’ brand new for 72k. Just have to wait 6 weeks….these dealers are nuts
Smart choice William!!
@@ryanmoscrop1947 I don't know what state you live in but 72k$ for out door that's cheap, I live in Houston they're charging me to many fee + tax end up the car total 77k$ that's insane, base MSRP 67k$ + factory installed options which is I don't need total 73k$ + 4k$ tax 😂
Never understood Americans with their large engines. I don't think no one understands how low the hp per displacement is, imagine having a 5.3 V8 and it only produces 355hp economy is terrible 15mpg in the city and 22mpg highway. It looks like a block as well!!! With a vehicle of this size the only engine that needs to be on that is a diesel, that 5.3 V8 is gonna have a hard time hauling 6000lbs worth of metal!!!
$77k and no ventilated seats??? I'm pretty sure a Sequoia would have that for the same price, or am i wrong?
Edit: I am not wrong, lol
New Sequoia has a terrible trunk situation...unfortunately
Only get be vented seats on the high country or the premier….can’t even order the vented seats. That was my biggest gripe when the wife and I ordered ours. Makes zero sense, but the sequoia rear trunk situation is literally horrendous, so looks like we are gonna have non vented seats
Jeep grand Cherokee 4xE
😮oppe
Any boominess from the interior? My 2016 Yukon XL was terrible in that regard at low speeds over even the slightest imperfect pavement. Many owners of previous generation Yukon/Tahoe/Suburbans know exactly what I mean. A friend's 2021 Yukon Denali was better, but still had some booming at lower speeds, although it had the 22 in wheels which probably didn't help. I ended up trading to a 2021 Expedition that has absolutely zero booming and a ride quality just as good or better than the GM.
Keep bro ✅ 😎

Man, these vehicles are a pain to drive behind. Most of the drivers of these vehicles can barely handle them. It's way bigger than what most people need or handle. It's nice on the inside though...
It's not that. If you have driven one you don't want to push it too hard because the brakes ain't shit and the rear end on it has always been light enough that if you get carried away, that's your ass.
It is not a Chevy if it does not have a hiccups in a gearbox:)
I just don't get it, why would you not get a minvan instead of a soccer mom suv....
peugeot 408 pls
I find it hard to believe that anyone could use all this space. I would just get a Tahoe
Not if you have a 27ft trailer 2 kids and 2 German Shapers to drive around
@@TheHealinghorses I was unaware that a trailer took up interior space.
Mine hauls a family of 7, those double strollers take up the whole trunk
20 odd years later and gotta love the sounds of creaking plastic over big bumps is still is a feature... L
Its bullshit they dont put as much effort into their trucks. If their truck interiors looked like that I would be driving a chevy.
Nothing says off-road better than screens in the back seat, heated seats, Bose sound system…
WOW gm cant seem to get interior right!
my dad's 2003 Suburban Z71 with the 5.3 feels a loot quicker, even despite the 4l60e. this thing just seems underpowered.
Wait till he gets about 25 or 30 thousand miles on it and a valve spring break on it and the motor detonates itself
The most unnecessary car ever, but still amazing
it would be nice if you had like 6 kids haha
They make excellent road trip vehicles, and they can both haul (inside and out) offer 4WD capability with lots of power to boot. I couldn't think of a better SUV. Also, with cylinder deactivation, these score the same or better MPG than a crossover containing a V6.
@@icantgivecredit871 16 MPG is better than crossovers with a V6?????
@@trumpisastump9382 I have a crossover with a V6 and it barely does 20 MPG.
I’m guessing nobody in the comments likes this car…
Anyone who would bash a Suburban is decidedly ignorant and clearly has never driven one.
Man, US cars that aren’t good GM performance cars kinda suck imo.
We might wanna start focusing on promoting less car-dependency by promoting good public transport and walkable cities like it is in Europe.
I’m not saying we should ban cars, we should still be able to enjoy them when we want to and for rural areas, but we need to start clearing up the roads by taking who can’t or don’t want to drive off the roads and say, on bicycles, by promoting walkable cities. Less drivers on the road means better driving experience.
I’m convinced with how big cars are getting that a Honda Pilot in 15 years may be the size of a Suburban as it is now.
@@hellenthefraudkeller3831 yeah, I know they’re tying to be the only city outside of NYC trying to promote bicycle infrastructure and whatnot and I see videos for LA’s walkability all the time, but my god the homelessness there is out of control. I went there two years ago, and I was scared to even get out of my car. There was a homeless lineup on every block in LA.Never again.
They need to get that fixed before they think about promoting walkability.
I’d rather get a minivan
Not as comfortable, not as capable, and not as powerful, and does not drive anywhere as well. That struggling V6 will probably use fuel at the same rate, too.
@@icantgivecredit871 you've gotta be joking there are hybrid minivans that get over 30MPG, seat 8 people, are comfy, are more practical for hauling larger families
@@andyh4464 I suppose if you drive like a minivan driver, you'll get 30 MPG at the cost of basically everything else.
I have had a minivan going on 4 years now. I yearn for a suburban! Minivans have terrible cargo space. And unless you’re driving like Ms. Daisy, they aren’t fuel efficient as most think. Yea I want the big suburban come next future car purchase.
The price is a COMPLETE RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!! NOPE✅️
i think it’s starting to look old, just me?
It's going to be getting referred within the next year or so
Sign the papers and the value falls 50%.
Seriously? Bose is decent??
IMO, the only thing the new Chevy trucks and suvs are missing is the design. The design on the exterior is just awful.
bro tip never buy a gm product thank yourself later
Unless it's a Blackwing
Ewww.
as a valet i have probably driven well over 100 of these and i have not driven a single one i like. give me my 07 burban with a column shifter and a kenwood head unit i bought off amazon over this stupid thing any day.
Ugliest $77k car IMO. Spend a few thousands more you can get a QX80 or even the expedition looks more luxurious inside and out
Gm: let's make the vent center eye appeal.
73g for a SUV that looks like it has rent-a-rims!No thank you😑
