Respectfully, if I may comment, it seems once the guest starts opening up a little, you, maybe unintentionally, sometimes shut them down with your own comment, usually summarizing things in a way that you like. It’s your show, of course, but I think it would benefit from letting guests go where they want to go and see what happens. Thank you for your work.

But in my analysis the interviewer is applying brilliant discretion in how he conducts this interview, which an average interviewer would simply not have the necessary IQ and more importantly the EQ to pull off. It is a masterpiece of an interview in so many ways. In order to appreciate the value of the interview and the brilliance of how he conducted it, you need to be aware of allot of the background information touched on in the interview.
