@OrderofthePipe You still haven’t identified a purpose. What legislation are they considering that this audio recording will inform?
@AmSam-tp4ck you still haven't come up with a reason to withhold the audio recording, what do your people have to hide
@@philipmartin9361 they don’t have anything to hide; that is why they turned over the transcript . There is no legitimate justification for the request of the audio. The only reason they have asked for the same information in a different form is to perpetuate the false impression that evidence exists of a prosecutable crime, Honouring this request would legitimize it.
@phillipmartin9361 the reason to withhold the audio is because complying with this request would send the message that it is a legitimate, justified request. It's not for him to decide if there is a difference between the report and the Audio...thats the whole point. He knows that there IS A DIFFERENCE and he's hiding it from Congress.
@catherinebarr7765 Why hasn’t Hur come out and talked about the differences then?
A Republican prosecutor has advised that the interview did not yield evidence of a prosecutable crime (and he has not contested the accuracy of the transcript). The DoJ decided not to bring charges against Matt Gaetz for sex trafficiking -- should all of the evidence from that investigation be released in the public arena for the democrats to campaign on? I don't see the point. And I get why some people might distrust the democrats and believe the transcript is not true to what was actually said -- we live in a time of hyper-partisanship, and I understand that. For that reason, Garland should allow Hur to sit in a room with a copy of the released transcript while the recording is played. He could then listen to the recording and report any specific discrepancies he notices -- with time stamps -- back to congress, and they could demand that the democrats make those sections of the recording available. I don't think there would be any such discrepancies, but if there are, then hell yes, they should be brought to light. If, however, the transcript is true to what was said and is valid, then there is no reason to release it.
He is just buying time to do exactly what he says they are doing. They are making an AI deep fake to match the transcript. The more Congress says that worrying about a deep fake is unfounded, the more they feel OK for doing it. It is obvious, as otherwise they would have invited a Congressman to come listen to it, or would have invited a Congressman to the deposition itself.
Garland, the AG: responsible for the people and agency he supervises, has taken the approach of 'if I don't know about it I can't be held accountable'.
He does not know anything...
Johnson needs to move on Garland and send the Sargent at arms to confiscate the recordings
Johnson doesn’t have the right to overturn SCOTUS’s rules regarding separation of power. If Johnson wants SCOTUS ‘s decision to be overturned he has to go through the process and congress will make the decision. This is part of how democracy works.
