Just found out with some testing that Trollhammer Torpedo with Ingenious Ordnance still does friendly fire. Now the Explosive part of the shot won't but the projectile will do massive friendly fire. Another thing I also noticed with the Trollhammer Torpedo is its behaving as though Armour Piercing Slugs selected when its not. Allowing for the Torpedo to pierce through multiple targets for good to massive damage, to then hit either another target or the ground for the explosion.
I'm glad to know this wasn't just me. Messed with changes, then pulled out to shoot my trollhammer because why not, and then started second guessing myself about how it worked.
I think they forgot to change the Gromril-Plated Shot. It's still only doing 40 damage a shot with a mag capacity of 30 rounds. Feels pretty useless when you could have like 120 rounds of 21 damage with Innovative Ammo Hoppers. Armour isn't nearly common enough to really justify Gromril when you could just pull out a pistol to deal with it, or even one of your bombs now. Had they removed the reduction in mag capacity from picking it, it woulda been a diffrent story though. You get 80 rounds in your mag standard after all, so tossing that down to a mere 30 rounds? Why would you ever wanna do that when you got so many ways to deal with armour? Besides, it's not exactly the most accurate of weapons, so missing a shot really sucks when you only got 30 to work with immediately

I'm happy with every change except for the nerf to daggers, because the thing that made them so good was their monster damage. Now they're just fast with no cleave. I'm not too happy about the Prayer of Vengeance change, either. Crits are guaranteed over the course of a base game run even if you only have 5% crit chance, and can be used against any target. Monsters are not always guaranteed, and the new prayer can only be used against them. Super unnecessary change, imo.

The Nerf to the javelins makes me want to throw up. Glad the great sword got a buff. It’s a really good weapon but it was just lacking a little in damage. It’s a beast on grail knight secondary spot
as a battle wiz enjoyer the nerf wasn't a surprise, but non-burn being 15% instead of 30% is a pretty decent trade off i think, you only wanna do the burn damage we you can set up for it but more often than not, you'll have to deal with enough melee ranged rats before getting those moments where it matters to use your zoning tools.
Well, it seems to me Kerillian now has the if not the worst, then certainly the most boring ranged weapons in the game. It's basically the Longbow and maybe Deepwood Staff if you're SotT. Everything else slowly got nerfed over the years to trash.
There is zero reason to bring the javelin over the longbow now. They nerfed it waayyyyyy too much. Its useless. :( And, taking away 20% of the dual daggers damage versus monsters ruins those as well (and once again drives everyone right back to the sword/dagger combo). You already trade away a lot of big things when bringing dual daggers (horder clear, etc.). Some of these changes are just so dumb and take away fun from the few players that still remain. I'm really disappointed.
I'm so glad I'll have less javelins up my ass from spammy Elf players. Courosation staff now makes me feel less bad for playing it which is neat. Overall I'm glad they gave Engie, Priest and Pyro some love as they definetly needed it. I'll try to experiment more with the Pyro ranged changes, I usually play her for the crits lol Famished fames Nerf is definetly deserved and fits Siennas track record of just always having something that breaks shit (like the old beam wiggle that just melted monsters)
Pyro and Engie needed it. But Warrior Priest was always really strong imo, the only bad thing was how righteous fury always activated JUST when the action is over.
I will lament that having superior gaskets and enhanced steam capacitors at the same time made it so he only had to crank his gun once at the start of the level. But that could only happen in the chaos wastes and it was probably a little bit OP lol
Don't bother with that one anymore just do the 30% on heavy attacks and either do a light -> heavy -> block with the longsword or spam lights with the mace and sword until you proc swift slaying and then spam push attacks and heavies for horde clear. Now that you won't get bonus power to light attacks there is no reason to put attack speed on the executioner sword so you can go ahead and put power vs chaos and crit chance on that, combined with power vs chaos on your charm and you can one hit chaos warriors and storm vermin on legend without crits. All in all grail knight didn't change much he just became slightly worse at horde clear and better at elite killing.
I have 250 hours in Vermintide 2 and haven't touched it in 2 years. I'd like to jump back in but i'd feel so lost its like trying to jump back into Monster Hunter

Not to mention the fact that deliberately standing in front of enemies to get hit is clunky. Glad to see some buffs to Outcast Eng and Warpriest. But don't understand GK nerf to ult. GK was perfectly balanced - strong and tanky but without any ranged weaponry. If ult was too strong against bosses, they should have nerfed ult damage. But nerfing ult cooldown nerfs every possible GK build. Also javelin used to be a slow weapon that hit like a truck. If some perk gave the ability spam, then they should've nerfed that perk! As always big nerfs to whole classes or weapons based on the experience of players who download the most optimized builds from the internet.
I remember a lot of darwi players, whining about sienna being too op. No with outcast engineer, it just hilarious. They made him way too powerful. I dont mind buffing battle wizard. Well I'm glad they nerfed all the fun shit after I sunk thousands of hours into the game and am bored of it now. Nerfing literally all the fun things near the very end of a game's development really won't ever make sense to me, but hey at least pyromancer is good now. A new Sienna to play after they butchered the fun one and her staff. RIP the fucking jav though, didn't deserve even half of those changes.
I'm a bit at a loss as to why double daggers got nerfed, it wasn't that great of a weapon on anyone but Shade (and even then you'd have better in-slot choices) edit: before accusations start flying, I'm not an elf main or an elf player in general (my least played character), just remember daggers not being that great
Daggers are good if those are at least blue. White and green are garbage. Daggers are (were) the best monster killing weapons by far with shade. No competition from any other class or weapon. Well maybe grail knight double stab, but its a skill, not weapon.
@@Wesuwius sword and dagger shared the same profile on one of the attacks and they're a lot less restrictive; which basically makes them better than daggers. and that's not the only weapon that's better than daggers on Kerillian, there's only pre-buff 1H axe that I can think of being as bad/difficult to utilize properly (except on Handmaiden + Jav) only time you would use daggers is on Shade and that's precisely because of her kit/role as moster killer, making them more viable -- not the other way around. no other class can utilize them well, and there are still better weapons you can go as shade.
@@TheNSJaws Sword and dagger is maybe the best all around weapon, but daggers were the best monster killing weapon with shade (like i said before). Maybe still are.
@@Wesuwius I know, lemme rephrase since I think we're talking past each other: I'm aware they work well with Shade. The issue is that monster killing is inherent on Shade, and daggers aren't good enough to be used as monster killer weapons on other characters. If they wanna nerf monster killing potential on Shade specifically, they should hit her with (yet another) nerf and buff daggers t ocompensate; This way Shade feels about as strong as she was, but daggers are also a better in-slot choice for other careers. So for these reasons I don't really see why they'd nerf the weapon that is specifically built to do what it was designed for if only one class can utilize it consistently. It seems like a really weird choice. It just seems a bit silly to me. as a Kruber enjoyer I don't really have a horse in this race.

Well, it seems to me Kerillian now has the if not the worst, then certainly the most boring ranged weapons in the game. It's basically the Longbow and maybe Deepwood Staff if you're SotT. Everything else slowly got nerfed over the years to trash.
we still run hagbane in the current year
There is zero reason to bring the javelin over the longbow now.
So is Lingering Flames worth considering now or is Famished Flames still the way to go?
Linger is op rn
Will you do updated build guides?
thank you! :) help me a lot
Just started playing the game enjoying it much
God speed sir
Holyy, I havent played the game for some time. But this "meta" change makes me want to come back :P new builds incoming!
No idea why they nerfed bh's boss killing potential.
I'm so glad I'll have less javelins up my ass from spammy Elf players.
Courosation staff now makes me feel less bad for playing it which is neat.
Overall I'm glad they gave Engie, Priest and Pyro some love as they definetly needed it.
I'll try to experiment more with the Pyro ranged changes, I usually play her for the crits lol
Famished fames Nerf is definetly deserved and fits Siennas track record of just always having something that breaks shit (like the old beam wiggle that just melted monsters)
Can i still one shot Headshot stormverming in the head with 24 % Power increasd with the Bret sword?
I wish they would add a new monster or disabler for any faction
rip in peace javelin
Finally 1h and 2h swords got buffed
Man I was about to go to bed, guess I'm playing
I have 250 hours in Vermintide 2 and haven't touched it in 2 years.
I'd like to jump back in but i'd feel so lost its like trying to jump back into Monster Hunter
Thrown stick no longer pointy
They nerfed everything on the javelin and did nothing to flamy bow, still useless.
Very mixed feelings about all these changes a lot of nerfs to some of the must fun classes in the game. Wish they had looked at huntsman again i love playing huntsman with the longbow but i know hes not the best class. Mixed feelings really. Not going to lie dont like the "fix" they have done to the bounty hunter
Javelin .... RIP :(
I think...
Op weapon gets nerfed..... *suprised pikachu face*
@@AntiProElite Nerfed as in balanced is ok, but it sounds like it's nerfed to oblivion. I still have to try it out tho. Other nerfes sound very reasonable.
@@BD-tp6pr stagger nerfs are great and cleave nerf even more. As long as you still can 1SHS specials in cata its fine.
@@AntiProElite I mostly play Cata deeds (vanguard + hordes mostly) and Chaos Wastes on cata. So a lot of breakpoints go out of the window and everything starts to count.
But yeah, that's personal and probably not for most people.
Bounty hunter is hard enough to use you mess up once on cata with him your pretty much dead nobody really uses him anymore
These are all great changes, a big win for the game.
disappointed that they still havent fixed Zealot though, if they didnt do it now then it's probably never going to happen.
Is there something wrong with zealot?
@@survivorkg4606 Fiery Faith incentivises reducing your health to 1 at the beginning of the mission and running on temp health.
This clashes with ways that the zealot can gain green health out of their control like regen from Grail Knights or Waystalkers. There's also the case of inexperienced players healing zealots when they shouldnt, it just feels bad to tell someone that they did the wrong thing for an unintuitive reason. Not to mention the fact that deliberately standing in front of enemies to get hit is clunky.
A simple talent that changes all permanent health into temp health would solve all of this and has been asked for multiple times but apparently the devs dont want it.
@@benyed1636 I find that running natural bond usually solves half of the issues, however I do see your point... maybe it's time they gave zealot a new approach
@@survivorkg4606 What do you do when you regenerate too much health with natural bond?
@@benyed1636 I let enemies hit me. Normally, i either perform more charged attacks or switch to my ranged, providing small windows for them to chip away at my hp. When it gets low enough, i go back to mindlessly hacking and build my temp hp up. I should also mention that i don't obsess over getting exactly 6 stacks of ff, i find that 4-5 is usually enough to get by and, most importantly, to have fun
Off the top of my head sounds like all good changes.
Sad about about losing leading shots specifically for the drake gun. He doesn't seem to have anything that actually improves it now and I don't like using on Ironbreaker because you have no way hitting special and elites at range other than with bombs. It was so much fun with Hunter trait on it. feels very anemic now.
dam it now i have to update my steam guide :(
these are some bullshit changes, why the grail knight nerfs? they dont make one ounce of sense, all these utility skills have been rendered useless for no reason , who in their sane mind is going to pick a one minute cooldown skill for 15 seconds of 35% increased speed? these guys are out of their minds
As always big nerfs to whole classes or weapons based on the experience of players who download the most optimized builds from the internet.
sad to see slayer being shrugged at, Barge is counter intuitive to a Slayer and Dawi drop is just garbage.
I remember a lot of darwi players, whining about sienna being too op. No with outcast engineer, it just hilarious. They made him way too powerful. I dont mind buffing battle wizard. If someone player her in your party it was quiet boring. But the oce is way over the top. Friendly fire to oblivion with troll harpoon. That is not boring, just annoying
Finally the wutelgi will have to use their brain in a most ranged kills duel instead of just randomly throwing those javelins
I don't like nerfed my favorite BW build. I hate that I paid for a weapon that they nerfed severly Corsucation and javelin. BW got the triple nerf though. Most public teams have been bad. I see hidden profiles in Cata runs. I see people trying to level up in cata. I joined a cata run and the host picked up a grim. I just dropped after he wouldn't drop it.
I thought they’d do all the careers like the last time…but no…just shit
grail knight nerf was stupid
he didnt need a nerf
They killed the bounty hunter 😞
Well I'm glad they nerfed all the fun shit after I sunk thousands of hours into the game and am bored of it now. Nerfing literally all the fun things near the very end of a game's development really won't ever make sense to me, but hey at least pyromancer is good now. A new Sienna to play after they butchered the fun one and her staff.
RIP the fucking jav though, didn't deserve even half of those changes.
I'm a bit at a loss as to why double daggers got nerfed, it wasn't that great of a weapon on anyone but Shade (and even then you'd have better in-slot choices)
edit: before accusations start flying, I'm not an elf main or an elf player in general (my least played character), just remember daggers not being that great
Daggers are good if those are at least blue. White and green are garbage. Daggers are (were) the best monster killing weapons by far with shade. No competition from any other class or weapon. Well maybe grail knight double stab, but its a skill, not weapon.
@@Wesuwius
sword and dagger shared the same profile on one of the attacks and they're a lot less restrictive; which basically makes them better than daggers. and that's not the only weapon that's better than daggers on Kerillian, there's only pre-buff 1H axe that I can think of being as bad/difficult to utilize properly (except on Handmaiden + Jav)
only time you would use daggers is on Shade and that's precisely because of her kit/role as moster killer, making them more viable -- not the other way around. no other class can utilize them well, and there are still better weapons you can go as shade.
@@TheNSJaws Sword and dagger is maybe the best all around weapon, but daggers were the best monster killing weapon with shade (like i said before). Maybe still are.
@@Wesuwius I know, lemme rephrase since I think we're talking past each other:
I'm aware they work well with Shade.
It just seems a bit silly to me.
as a Kruber enjoyer I don't really have a horse in this race.
time to update ur sienna guides 😅
they nerfed the outcast dwarf boss damage i used the every 4 crit one! with the 50% cd bar ult, it would do really good vs choas spawn so im really disappointed with the nerf on my engineer. honestly think he needs a buff vs monsters use up my whole entire bar and you don't do much anyways!. i don't agree with the holy knight nerf! not needed when you have a elf who can spam ults more often while the holy knight has to be in melee and still lacks vs specials. they also nerfed warrior priest with signamr executionior crit chance due to the prayer of vengeance no longer helping with crit power so dumb!, so far i don't like any of the changes vermintide 2 devs done they literally ruined all my specs and characters i play, only good thing i see done is the pyromancer being fixed! other than that most of it is trash and they ruined alot of specs.
FatShark like “the 10 people who still play are going to love this!”
It's not got a bad player base tbh. Although offpeak cata can be a little sparse.
@@Cernunnnos I haven’t played in a bit. Used to wait forever to find people (though half my friends is cata randoms)
I play it on PS5 and mostly play legend, I get full matches pretty consistently.
@@swaggadash9017 legends tend to be more populated for sure. But people are only doing legend to run books. Which can get a bit tedious if you aren't farming reds.
@@Cernunnnos I usually play legend just because it's more chill. Cata can be frustrating with randoms, so I generally don't bother unless my boys are on. I certainly wouldn't say this game is dead tho.

Jav is useless now. It's worse than an arrow.
You can run out of arrows
The elf now throw sticks instead of spears.

LOL double shot cooldown was not a bug thats BS.
it was bugged, happen to me most of the times, everytime i ult headshotted chaos warrior on legend i get ult refunded to 85% back,it shud be half

How big of a nerf was this to bounty hunter? Just curious because I basically main him when playing cata
@@Daethzoneznew cooldown Time (After headshotting with it) is something like 21 seconds compared to 7 (before the nerf) so hitting a headshot gives you a cooldown that’s three times as long as the old one.

yup nerfing on a coop/pve game. that's why I uninstalled this game
It was funny seeing all the seething from Elf mains (and almost entirely elf mains, even though Sienna was nerfed far more) because they can no longer solo every single enemy in seconds with 1 weapon with infinite ammo
My favourite thing is hearing the cracks of butthurt of 1000h+ javelin only spam players... Oh what a sweet sound it is...
Also, Vengance thing on Salty lets a lot of weapons breakpoint packrats now.
Man I hope you’re not on console, cuz what a piss poor attitude you have. It needed nerfed, it didn’t need to be gutted. Don’t be obnoxious
I hate friendly fire elves, and always kick them from my lobby after verbally assaulting them in VC, and Kerellian's playstyle tends to attract toxic players, but I never condone nerfing paid DLC weapons in a PvE game.
so basicly they destroying every weapon for elf with every major patch and render them to unusable same as moonbow they dont know how to nerf it normaly they just completely fuck it
They nerfed BH but Bardin still is destroying bosses with Masterwork pistol easier and safer than BH ever did, classic Fatshark
