Replacing the brake handle and master cylinder is next for me as well. Hopefully it's easy to find the right replacement.

You should paint it, that will make great content 👍

So, on my 50cc, the rear brake handle requires a lot more compression before the brake light comes on, and then if it's squeezed too far, the brake light goes out, whereas my front brake handle is a hair trigger, a slight squeeze and the brake light comes on... what could be the issue with the rear brake handle system?

Um literally everyone skips over the brake spring shim thingy. Like it has tabs on it... Do the pads go on the big side or does one go on the smaller one with the tabs sticking up? Mine broke at some point because I bet it wasn't installed correctly. Seems like an important step. It's not easy to get the pads on it before it slips out. I found only one vendor on eBay selling the part and took a month to get from China. I don't want to break this one. 😮‍💨😮‍💨

The spring isn't large enough for both pads. Does the outside or the inside pad (the one closest to the piston) sit on the spring? Seriously I can't find this information anywhere and I'm afraid to ride my bike because of this. Sigh.

I went to replace my pads but this little metal spring or shim(you mentioned it) inside the caliper was broken and took me forever to find one... Do the brake pads sit on top of this spring or the side of it? I wish I could post a picture to show you. I've posted in a FB group and no one knows what I'm talking about. You can see it in your videos when you replace the pads

What grease do you put in the grease insert on the top of the brake caliper and how much?

By any chance did you measure the length of your brake hose from end to end when it was out? I'm looking for a braided stainless steel alternative instead of the rubber hose.

Youre not bleeding your brakes right. You need to close the bleeder before releasing the lever.

That is correct. Thank you. I made a newer video where I do that. th-cam.com/video/nhfPUISx-FU/w-d-xo.html
