His death was so sad, there is a documentary about his journey with cancer, and beautifully wanted his spartacus character to be continued with someone else, he made me love the spartacus story, and will always be apart of the spartacus legacy in pop culture
"I have done this thing because it is just. Blood demands blood. We have lived and lost at the whims of our masters for too long. I would not have it so. I would not see the passing of a brother, for the purpose of sport. I would not see another heart ripped from a chest, or breath forfeit for no cause. I know not all of you wish this, yet it is done. It is done. Your lives are your own. Forge your own path, or join with us, and together we shall see Rome tremble!"
I'm not gonna lie, I was waiting on this one! Your ancient Roman videos are my favorite, and I absolutely love Spartacus's story! Thank you for this one!!

53:30 The brutal aftermath of the revolt, with thousands crucified along the Appian Way, sends chills. How do you think this act of deterrence impacted the Roman psyche and the broader institution of slavery? Could it have sowed seeds of change, or merely reinforced Rome’s dominance?

I would suggest that Spartacus understood that his army would naturally face armies outside of Italy had he tried to enter them. He was fenced in Italy.
