I’ve skied this spot, also known as the “witch’s fingers”, the chutes empty into a flat glade and if you don’t turn right before the glade and ski out there is a hike through waist deep snow and up the rocks to highway 6
Hit Wacky's chute Breck a few times this week with the fresh snow and STILL dinged my board with so many rocks it needs a heavy base grind. Just not the year for rocky chutes unless you got a rock board or boards to spare though I am tempted to try again with a dif board now the snow has continued to dump.
I was screaming the entire time. My friends are the type to do this & they eventually want me to go with them. After seeing this there is no way I’ll go do that. No way.
proly one of my favorite videos from you! appreacite teaching how to ride steep terrain and youj and benson acknowledging safety tactics. also the dog training area that you guys found waz maddd cool!
Woop woop Jonathan is rocking an Insta360 One X2. Didn't you own or still own a GoPro Max? How is the new camera? Do you also like the workflow with the insta studio and the AI tracking feature? Take care of the lenses! Definitely get the glue on lensguards to protect them!
Is the 360 footage rendered at 60fps? My preview and then my render seem to play at different frame rates. if you know anything about this since you use a max that would be super helpful. Anyway Johnathan you're the man see ya tmr, for another video.
That was a rad vid!!!! Miss riding that stuff living back on the east coast!!! If u like chutes checkout my old mountain bridger bowl montana!! Such a sick place
didnt have the balls to hit the gullies up on my trip there last week. Mad respect man! You'll have a hell of the time on the east wall when you get the chance
Scarely insane runs brother... I was just watching the Freeride World Tour the past couple days. They were in Austria and that mountain was like your video X1000 dude! So sick! 🤙🏻🤙🏻
I feel like the camera has a hard time doing this justice how steep it actually is. When you start pitching over 40* it honestly feels like you are on a vertical wall.
1 scary as hell. 2. Did you wear your avalanche stuff? 3 how come it looks like you're holding the camera but i see no stick? 4. You gotta invest in a helmet go pro for these runs
I didn’t wear my avi gear but I might next time. The 360 camera makes it disappear.and I was warring a GoPro too but used the selfie sticker more. Stoked you enjoyed the video

@Ronin Kaiser Flixportal :P
@Jamari Stetson Thank you, signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D I really appreciate it!
@Ronin Kaiser you are welcome =)
Can't wait to see Johnathan doing Big Couloir at Big Sky!!
Try going down, not sideways
That warning message woulda turned my ass around and watched a video on some pros like you all doing it
Hahaha 🤣 You got it man!
You're so lucky you had snowboard boots for that hike! That hike would suck with ski boots.
Nah Skiers have a much bigger advantage hiking up. put on skins and boom its far too easy
@@notreubensandwich you need touring equipment to do that though
@@notreubensandwich Yeah good point. I've never used skins though so that never crossed my mind.
Perfect your shop guys will love putting all those core shots in
What deck were you on??

"Watch out! AVALANCHE!" "That was fun. LET'S DO THAT AGAIN!" 😅
🤣🤣🤣🤣 love A Basin haven’t been for 2 yours think about going this weekend 💪💪💪🤘🤘🤘
Do it!!
I’m confused how the camera stick disappears like that😅
The GoPro software crops it out and stitches it together making the amazing 360 footage 😃
@@carterhobson310 oh wow that’s pretty cool
This is one of your best vids: pushing the game

Great video - better you than me, and see the gorgeous terrain
Yewww, that’s sick man, at my local resort we have a run with a 40 degree head wall, but that was gnarly!
Sick video bro! Id send that I just wouldn't want to hike out lol!
Right 😂
you absolutely chargeddddd through that chute
Looks fun
Definitely try it
Mad props, that shit aint easy. That's a no fall zone. The hike out sucks.
100% thanks man!
That looks so gnarly!! Next, Corbet's Couloir at Jackson Hole!
I want too!
A shot with the 360 looking down the gullies would be good to give perspective of steepness! Cool video!
I was screaming the entire time. My friends are the type to do this & they eventually want me to go with them. After seeing this there is no way I’ll go do that. No way.
Great mtn🤘🏻
Right!!
That was sick🤙🏼
Man I've always wanted to hit this terrain. So stoked for the bear trip.edits!
How do you get the Selfie Stick To be invisble
What model Smith helmet are you rockin? I dig the lip on the brow line and how it meets the top of the goggles seamlessly.
def some narly terrain! def boarded some runs way more narly in Washington! but they are always a blast an adrenaline rush
Roman gonna hit this next week?
with a baby parachute for safety....
6:25 "Little Leo Broo"
🤘🏼

i will definitely try to ride with you guys next december!
Is that a high speed double chair?!?
great run 👍 where can I get evolution facemask?
So I'm from Miami FL and know nothing about snow, mountains or snowboarding. Is this fun?
Most addictive fun sport ever especially if you have skated it’s 100 times better than skating and skating was already fun as it was.
You are absolutely killing me how much snow you side-slipped off that slope🤦♂️
Sorry man 😂
You should go to Boyne mountain in michigan
Of corse, I’ve been downloading TH-cam videos all day for my 6 hour car ride today and yours won’t download😩😩😩😩😩
Jonathan you should come to Winter Park!!!
Wow, that looked scary 😳
Right!
It kinda was lol
Do they sell gloves and stuff ?
Great love the freeride content, omg you know it steep when even the action cam makes it look crazy steep
I would never
Sorry man!
East wall next?
Man I was there the day after this. So sad I missed you
Next time!
6:38 my mans got class 👌
Woop woop

How long did the hike back take you guys? Ik it says 20-30 minutes, wasn’t sure if that was actually the case
Like 20 minutes. It’s long

JB! I'm looking into coming to CO by myself for a weekend shred trip. Do you know of any good but cheap places to stay?
Sadly no. I never look up hotels in Summit just because I live here
I’d imagine getting a basic hotel in Frisco or Silverthorne would be the cheapest option in summit county.
The best western ptarmigan lodge in dillon is a pretty good deal and it's right by the lake
you ain't getting nothing cheap in summit county, honestly tho good luck finding something cheap!
Sweaty palms 😳
Right!!
🤣😂
Lil Leo broooh? 6:25 Have I been mispronouncing it until now?
Skillz.
just ordered me some stickers!! We need a Keep Evolving Kayaking sticker for summer bro!

Yessir the Gullies are so sick
Try doing Rambo at crested butte
That’s a pos run. Rocks, tress, brush sticking out whats the point?
How do you video on runs like these?
A 360 camera
let’s goooo
Yeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!
🤘🏼
Sorry JB but looking through the comments and noticing that most of the responses you to other comments is "Right!!"
How much does it cost to live in Breckenridge comfortably? not just seasonal
Most rent for a room in Breck is $900 a month
@@JohnathanBuckhouse okay thanks lol really fast reply, keep shredding dude!
Can't imagine how horrible it would be getting caught in an avy on that rocky chute.
Right 😂 I don’t want to find out lol
Even on go pro that looks steep
parkrats always struggle with the freeride terrain
🤔
Congrats on doubling your sub count this season
I feel like the camera has a hard time doing this justice how steep it actually is. When you start pitching over 40* it honestly feels like you are on a vertical wall.
Not really, if it’s vertical on a go pro it’s steep as hell
ive done a 39 degree run before and it wasnt that bad
Let’s not, and say we did!
w
I wonder how the snow in the gully got so icy *insert shrug emoji*
1 scary as hell. 2. Did you wear your avalanche stuff? 3 how come it looks like you're holding the camera but i see no stick? 4. You gotta invest in a helmet go pro for these runs

They bomb that area. It’s inbounds ski patrolled and mitigated
Gnarly :D
🙌🏼
This is why snowboarders cant do steep stuff. They just take all the snow with them
Yooo
Lools like it would be fun with better conditions.
Right!!!
even with gopro effect you still see how insanely steep that is
looks like a good place to ruin your board lol
every turn could be you last on that 40 degree run
Right 😂
