APBassin is such a young kid. He’s trying to grow into his own role.
I like pulling from all the ones who give information like IKE. A very highly experienced bass fisherman. That’s were it really counts. Now all these pond hoppers who focus on solely ponds because they can’t cut it at a real body of water like a larger / lake.

What an awesome breakdown and explanation. Lots of info indeed! Just starting out with fall bass fishing (north of Upstate NY) and trying to apply these. I have not yet hit shallow bass, all of my smallies have come in the 20-30' range. Seeing the occasional blowup and pods of 2" minnows on the surface though.Mid-lake shoals are almost devoid of fish, which I though would be loaded... The milfoil is slowly dying on those , but did get a few largemouth on the edge of those. Still trying to find a pattern.
Thanks again Mike Iaconelli, it's very much appreciated the time and work you take for these videos.

Hey Ike! I always appreciate the way you take you time explaining the concepts. In theory, I understand what you're saying but when you hear it over and over it starts to become second nature. Trust the fact that these fish are predictable. I also love the fact that you're from up north. I have a buddy in Georgia and I can get those fish to bite a rock when I'm down there. These shorter growing period and cooler temps in PA are a challenge for me. I never know what temps trigger what behavior here. I try to follow the bait with electronics on my home lake (Raystown) but often it's so deep and then it's gone a week later. Then before you know it I'm in a tree stand and never did find the fall bite. Anyway, thanks for the "shop" videos!

Well that’s all fine and dandy and I understand the transition, But how do you get them to eat a artificial bait.
There is so much Shad on our lake right now it is unlike any of sun fishermen have seen in 20 yrs. Shad are so heavy and thick they are literally popping on the surface and landing onto the deck of bass boats. It’s unbelievable and it’s a tough bite for any type of top
Water when surface Shad popping is out of control sun up until all day

Great video on how to find the fish but could you do a video on how to get them to bite once you do find them. I went a couple days last week and found alot of bait fish in the grass and on tbe edges and bass busting them in the grass and along the edges of grass but couldn't only get a few to blow up on a frog and a couple on a fluke. It is frustrating seeing so many fish blowing up and not being able to catch them. It would be very helpful if you could do a video on how to get them to bite once you find them. Thanks

Im in California and fall here is odd. It starts late, doesnt last long and the lakes that have Florida strain bass dont seem to have the late fall transition its like the lake turns off. Weve seen them with electronics put bait in their faces and they just dont eat. The lakes that have northern strain and spots seem to be much more productive in the cooler times of the year.

Great information Mike. I'm going to Wilson Lake on the Tennesse river Saturday. There are tons of very small 1 to 2 inch threadfin shad. Are there any certain baits to use to get them to eat when there is that much food in the water? Should I just avoid the areas that are overwhelmed with baitfish? I have a drop shot, spinnerbait, hollow body frog, Berkley Choppo, and a small swimbait tied on. 👊👍
