Honestly it's cool to have but at the price they were initially offering them......No. Now with the lower price not so bad. Again it's cool to have but if you want something that just works and won't break the bank get the PDQ lever and call it a day. Downside is that you do have to cut your lower.
I just got my aero lower today I think you can only use aero uppers I tried two other uppers and it wouldn't fit due to the bolt release / catch on the right side.… I wasn't aware of this due to me buying it from a gun store
@@turbo15100 I am interested in knowing this too. Yours is the only review I have been able to find on this new ambi lower, but before ordering it myself I want to make sure it will work with other brands of milspec uppers (Daniel Defense, BCM, and PSA).
Love my M4E1 recievers but "M4E1 "pro:" is such a stupid name and they used the WORST style of "ambi" controls, like they're actually TRASH. You;d be better off buying a standard M4E1 lower and cutting in a PDQ lever so it didn;t have these awful controls.
PDQ is good, but requires some DIY 'milling' of the lower.. If you have the means and are able to do it (or someone else can cheaply do it, go for it!) As for the Ambi controls on the Aero M4E1 Pro, it's very similar to the LMT MARS-L or the lower that comes on the Daniel Defense RIS III ambi lower that I currently have. The support side mag release is located a bit different, but is natural to use. I just picked up the M4A1 Pro ambi lower to buiild out and test. It feel and function of the lower are great. Everything feels 'natural' when you the ambi controls. Just my humble opinion from someone who owns it.
Do your thing, others have been covering for years. No explanation necessary 👍🏿
I appreciate that!

I want one, luv the look of the m4e1 receivers. Is it worth the scratch?

Thanks for the heads up. I just assumed that any milspec upper would be o.k. I will check to see If I have the same problem later today.

@@ZaneDouglas1 Just checked today with two standard milspec uppers. No issues with fit or function at all.
@@turbo15100 That's great to hear, thank you!
Only somebody that never trains would say that ambidextrous rifles are not advantageous
Running the vertical foregrip makes it an AOW. Dumb, I know. 26 U.S.C. § 5845(e)
hope you didnt pay MSRP
I did. 😢

“3 platforms” 🤦♂️
It’s one and the same platform…..
This is true my mistake. Should have been 3 different bolt hold/release levers.
