It's hard to hear this song and not remember a dear friend who sadly passed way too soon. Reminiscing about time spent simply enjoying some great music with a good friend.
This is my power, faith and hope song. Whenever things get tough, and I fell sad, down and without hope, I pray, then play this song, and I am restored.
Jean-Luc was my musical mentor at the Peabody Conservatory. And his creative skill has carried me through the 80's. I found my own niche, and Jean-Luc had a part of it. And I will go to my grave thanking him.
Thank you for the musical vaccination! Thank you for posting this! I love this line up the best and with Ralph! I have seen every single Jean Luc Ponty show here in Detroit Michigan and Chicago since 1977 ! Peace from Detroit
My favorite Jazz Fusion artist . I saw him in the late seventies or maybe early eighties at Oberlin College at Finny Chapel doing his Imaginary Voyage . I had gotten there early and he and his band went through all their number before the concert . So I got to hear him twice . Thanks for the great video .
Gads We had such _high hopes_ for music back then! l was at this show in Vancouver! l was 16, a girl, and they almost didn't let me in, cuz it was at the Commodore …..so l _pleaded and promised_ l wouldn't drink. Good thing l was cute, and _knowledgeable_ when it came to a TUNE! l got to chat with Zavod at a Zappa concert 2 years later! l SO wish the youth would PAY ATTENTION and go back to learning to PLAY!
This makes my eyes water. I got to hear JLP & Band twice--in one night @ Oakland CA. Then there was the memorable night--row 4--Paul Masson Winery- @ Saratoga CA. This was the best live music my ears have ever heard. Thank you so much, Maestro, for a lifetime of pure enjoyment.
Great recording quality and video, but has it been sped up here? (Is that possible?) I was at three JLP concerts where he played this (including summer '82 in NYC, with this lineup), and I don't recall the tempo ever being noticeably faster than on the album, like it is here.
One the most coolest things about Jean-Luc is he brings space to his musicians to shine as well.
Fully agree.

I always liked that bass solo.
This is my favorite violin 🎻 player

Final Truth (from the album Mystical Adventures) is the JLP song that always does that for me.
Today wasn't a good day. This music made it better. Thank you
Ameeeen!!! God Bless You forever!!!!....Saludos desde Mty México My friend!!!!
Sadly I had to leave all my vinal in Cali....miss it so much,!!!😘
Yes!! Mine too, I know exactly how you feel, this song is pure joy. ☺

This is awesome!
What a gift that was!
That's a very special gift!
One of the best bass solos's I've heard!
You got that right but let’s give the drummer some 👏🏻👏🏻 he was it the mix to one of my favorite tunes by Jon and ground love these guys
You can hear bits of Randy Jackson’s original bass solo in here. Terrific.
That Combo of Randy Jackson and Rayford Griffin did a monster Job on the LP.
Great live performance and Keith played a great Bass solo and killed it!!
Detroit Loves Jean Luc, he has a very large and faithful audience here!!!
Thanks for posting. Memories of joy. God I’ll miss music.

Jean Luc Ponty bridging those gaps of time, spanning those Musical journeys whether outward or inward, his Bands and Guests soaring through!
The precision of this piece is magnificent! ❤
Loved this live rendition of rhythms of hope, but miss my man Ralph Armstrongs original solo , still smokin though
Actually, the original solo was played by Randy Jackson. Indeed a fantastic bass work!
I was employed by Stu Spector in Brooklyn from 1980 to 1983. I probably worked on that bass in Keith Jones' capable hands.
Out of this world, the musical talent on display here can only make you shake your head in bewilderment at it.

Terrible solo de Keith Jones. Yo vi esa banda increible. Una de las mejores cosas que me paso en la vida.
Già da giovane era un vero talento dell'improvvisazione e della tecnica violinistica
Masterful solo by the great Keith Jones! He did Randy Jackson's solo on the original recording justice!
All these years I was always focused on the bass player and didn't realize how great the drumming is.
Rayford Griffin is a monster , open handed master. Thanks for pointing him out. Love his freestyle
I haven't heard this in years,!!..so many memories!!..love Jean 😘
The besta Rock Violin
Beautiful Jamie!
Wonderful
Very nice violin by Jean luc ponty.. bravo..
I love this band. I was prevlished to see him play in L.A many times I still think that no one has been able to match that band .
This makes my eyes water.

I remember in the '80s the 70s my uncle will tell me this great man was Jimi Hendrix son
Great share.
👏👏👏🎧🤗🇧🇷
VERY GOOD..............................
Yes!!! Thank you!!!
Por años este tema fue la música de fondo de comercial Pre universitario Andrés Bello en la TV Chilena.
Amo Jean luck! Igual a Khênia!
Awesome music, and i who did think Jazz was lame..... ill eat them words
RaderJam :)
I think this particular tune is more Progressive rock than Jazz
o cara simplesmente destroi o violino com seus solos de alto nivel.
muito bom 👏👏👏
dang that french boy can sure play the fiddle... B+
最高!素晴らしい!
❤️❤️❤️
Good ❤️
o cara brinca no violino, som para a alma.
Ah com certeza, o cara chegou num nível no qual ele e o violino são um só
❤️
Beautiful music.
Somebody else find the beginning similar to Two Steps of DMB?
not really:)
High grade 👍
👏👏👏👍👍👍👌
Nice 😊😂❤
VERY well played! Who is that phantastic drummer? Could it be Lenny White?
The drummer is Rayford Griffin :)
@@desislavaracheva Thank you! 😎
I like the versions from the early 80's much better than the later ones. The later versions stray too far from the original message.

Today's music is such crap compared to the talent of all these artists. Down with digital
Is that a Warwick bass?
Maybe Alembic?
It is a very early Spector. Late 70s
Ken Smith
What album is that song on?
Mystical Adventures ( 1982)
When music was music, bad bass solo!
I hope you meant "badass"...
yea man, thats exactly what I meant
Listen to the bass lick at the 4:33 mark. I missed it the first few times I watched but it's incredible.
@@craigvivier7792 Dang, how could I miss that. It's almost like Jaco at the end of Mike Stern's Moods Swings song in 86.
Jean Luc Ponty better than Mozart
Necultrativement
Maravilloso
