    I have a Massey Ferguson 6712 that is throwing a e16 3031 code(def tank temp too high), I have checked the lines and for corrosion on the top where the wires come in, and all the wires, does is it the def sensor/coil? And do you have to purchase the whole unit or can you purchase just the sensor?

    So wait, if someone pulls the exhaust temp sensor out to were its sensing ambiant air temperature and plugs the exhaust port for the sensor it will never use Def fluid? 🤔
    Of course that's assuming it's not controlling air fuel mixture with that reading thru the computer.?

      To late to the game. There was a time when you could do just that. Software is smart enough to realize that’s been done now.

    I have a tractor with 1200 hours in great condition. It already needs a $4000 supply module. 4000 dollars for a pump? Where do they come up with these prices? Either these systems need to be way more reliable, or they need to be cheaper to fix. This is why farmers are deleting the systems. Tired of the headaches.

      How old is your tractor? Emissions systems are covered for 5years/3000 hours. What model tractor? $4000 seems pretty high.

    I have a 4709 with under 200 hours. In the last 6 months the computer has shut it down twice because the sensors show the exhaust is not getting clean enough. My dealer is telling me this is my fault that I need to keep it at 2000 RPMs at all times. Seems like a load of BS to me.

      Yeah, that’s definitely a load of BS. If it was a regen system that’s a different situation but on these SCR systems it’s not a problem. In fact, that’s one of the nice things about these SCR systems is that the RPMs don’t really matter. There’s something else going on.

    The scr system runs so dang hot. Always stinks.

      It's less than ideal but preferable to regen in my opinion.

    Don't say its ok if the def freezes because here in Canada it freezes all the time and causes many problems because of it

    • @prequipmentsales
      @prequipmentsales  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not saying it’s never caused a problem I’m just saying the system is designed to deal with frozen DEF.

      @@prequipmentsales i know and I didn't mean it how it sounded it's just that I've had def freeze on me a few times and more often than not it has caused me problems

      @@JT-lm3sj oh I actually worked for AGCO/Massey for a few years on the technical side. You northerners threw us some curve balls with them crazy negative temps.
