Wow I think you’ve got the most pampered bike in the world. I mean you took the fork and shock apart again while there still brand new from rebuild. Amazing eye for perfection I love it. Regards from Namibia
So stoked to see how absolutely built this bike will be when it's finished and all together. don't get me wrong, while all of it's pretty badass, my favorite part(s) are definitely the engine/pipe.
I so appreciate the amount of details you provide. Some is just common sense but others I'm like, "oh yeah, why didn't I consider that". And then there's the "trial and error" in which you have done for us. Thank you.
Alan Silva it does come off quite easily, had my DG silencer done a while back and it scratches easily, it also wears off if something abrasive rubs on it , boots and fabric will wear through to metal quickly.and it chips. made the pipe look fantastic though but i won’t be parting with the £150 it cost to get done again. VHT paint next time!
Man i cant wait untill the final reveal. Its gonna look sweet brother. Keep up the good work👍. Going to clean up my yz250f this weekend and freshen her up this weekend.
On my friend's bike during a XC race his bleeder valve popped out and sprayed him in the face with oil. It wasn't just a little bit of oil it was a lot!
Really good job ! But I would recommand you to remove those fork bleeders. Pro teams don't use them for a reason, they bring air in the fork ! The system is a check valve (like for the fuel tanks, so it's really nice to get the air out and there's no problem when you're compressing the fork (because there's pressure inside the fork that helps the bleeder to seal) The problem is that when the fork unloads (returns to its standard position), the depression inside the fork opens those fork bleeders and swallows a lot of air ! So it does the opposite of what it's supposed to do and in one lap your forks will be full of air. If you want to test, do a session with the OEM screws and then open them, there will be just a little bit of air inside the fork. Then do a session with the fork bleeders and push the button, you'll see that there will a LOT of air in your fork !!! Good luck for the rest of the project and I cann't wait to see the next video ;-) (sorry if my English isn't perfect, but I'm French)
Dude they turned out so dope. Love it. Doing a CR250 myself this year. Your videos will be invaluable. Don't know if I'm brave enough to do CeraKoting....
Great video man! Those two colors are my favorite combo. Can’t wait to actually start cerakoting myself here in the next couple days. Could you do a video of some behind the scenes stuff? Like shop cleaning, cleaning your HVLP gun, you’re organization of you tools and such. I think a lot of us would enjoy that. Again, great video! Best content out there by far!
Ive got a hint for you to make the sandblasting way easyer. As you are having struggles to see in tot the cabinet of the blaster place a small led strip in the cabinet will make it waayyy easyer!
I've done 2 sets of fork tubes in cerakote, one set for a cr250 in burned bronze and one set for a kx500 in Jesse James cold war grey and they have held up very very nice.
OMG that is epic looking man keep it up and the beard looks amazing iam so going to get some of that and do my monster truck parts that I want to change from blue to neon green if they have it
Damn Cameron, your CR250 is LEGENDARY 💯👊🏻 The ceracoat really sets it off!! I'm lovin' this build💯🔥 my CR250 has a LONG way to go, LOL 😂 Keep up the grind, it's appreciated 💯👊🏻
Have you ever thought about doing an offroad build? Would be cool to see what kind of details you would put into a national enduro or gncc type build. You make bikes look tricker than the factory team's!
my experience with ceracote is it does scratch, chip and wear off with abrasion. with your polished alloy parts have you considered lacquering with clear cote once polished? i polished a bike up last year and air temp changes dim it severely. wondered what the best clearcote i would need to spray on bear metal?
Tip for anyone who’s interested, when sandblasting stuff with sensitive areas threaded holes etc Fill them with grease, if you blast the grease the sand will just pack in the grease and make like "a lid". ✌🏻
do you use the 80 grit glass bead for all your cerakote work or was that put in just for the fork tubes to take off the anodising? if so what other media do you run for aluminium before spraying?
On this episode of strange addictions: Cameron's cerakote addiction
Ahahaha
Cameron Niemela just wait till you drift into the addiction of titanium.
Cerakote is good

The bike is going to be so freaking sick. I don't even know if I would be able to ride it after all the work you have put into it!
Thanks man!
That bike is gonna be a piece of art......that rips! Nice work Cam!
Thanks Dave!
I am loving this cr 250 build, you should try a restyle plastic kit to make it look like a new 2019 bike
Congrats on the 200k!!! Great work as always Cam!
Thanks man!
Should of use high gloss Cerakote clear coat to give it a anodising look
Man that would be wicked

@@gtisid So like I tought. There is no coating hard enough for dirt bikes.
That'll be coming soon. Pretty much anything, even hard anodizing will wear through over time

Stunning results.
Attention to detail on point as always, love your work man, peace love and motorsport.

those parts came so good looking cannot wait at bike its ready
iv been waiting for this one... its has to look so cool
Can u do the forks with powder coat also I was wondering if that would work are even hold up
Todd Thompson powder coat wouldn’t hold up well. Probably not even a few weeks. I’m not sure if even cerakote will but we will see!
Bangeld The only PC would hold up excellent. The problem is getting them to fit through the triple clamps
PC would be too thick
Thanks man for letting me kno b for I tired it
Color combo is so choice !! Much like the whole bike !!! Omfg just when I think it’s the best you make it better.
Thanks man!
Nice work Cameron, glad to see your doing well! Cheers, Doug
Thanks Doug!
love your videos can't wait to see the bike finished
Thanks man!
How did the tubes fit in the triple clamps with the coating?
Because the coating is super thin
Cerakote is .001" thick
I was wondering if they scratched when going through the clamps.
start the damn thing..
can't wait to see it running.
God damit this looks good! Fantastic videos man, bless you!
Thanks Filip!
Love the new look, can't wait until the bikes done

Sweet bro! How did it hold up? Thinking about doing the same to an old bike. Thanks in advance!
Hey man, love the vid, just feeling like the audio could be a bit lower so it doesn't saturate ! Keep up the good work tho I love this build
Thanks for watching! My audio settings on the camera got jacked up so it wasn't as crisp this time around

great video,
how does this finish look like after a year on a shock spring?

Two years on hows the coating holding up? Any issues with clamping in the yokes?

yoooo the beard looking good bro
OMG that is epic looking man keep it up and the beard looks amazing iam so going to get some of that and do my monster truck parts that I want to change from blue to neon green if they have it
Should have coated the red
that red anodize color he does is the best.
How come you didn’t soak the fork tubes in acetone before the sandblast? Or does it not matter I’ve seen people do both

Gunnar Kranenburg Thanks man! I’m more into the moto stuff so I doubt I’d ever do an offroad build
Cam- what are the specs of the air compressor you use to run your blasting cabinet?
my experience with ceracote is it does scratch, chip and wear off with abrasion.
with your polished alloy parts have you considered lacquering with clear cote once polished? i polished a bike up last year and air temp changes dim it severely. wondered what the best clearcote i would need to spray on bear metal?
Hi could you do a video of what different worn out engine bearings sound like on a 4 stroke?
Now that it’s been a couple of years, how well does the cerakote hold up on the fork bodies?

Fill them with grease, if you blast the grease the sand will just pack in the grease and make like "a lid". ✌🏻

A professional durable factory finish cerakote by far is great stuff.
do you use the 80 grit glass bead for all your cerakote work or was that put in just for the fork tubes to take off the anodising? if so what other media do you run for aluminium before spraying?
It’s crazy because I’ve been trying to find that out for a minute 🤙
