Great Vid!!! Question: The "heat to" and "cool to" why is the heat lower than the cool? And which temperature is the unit more inclined to hit, the heat temp or cool temp? Thanks
The carrier COR 7c/5c, as well as the Carrier COR thermostat, have been discontinued...thank god. Get a Ecobee 3 Lite or ecobee 4. Ecobee helped develop the carrier COR thermostat line. Carrier is not any longer associated with United Technologies and now trades under its own ticker - CARR. I bought shares as soon as they spun off and have started selling shares on the exchange. I’ve made a pretty penny on that stock purchase.. kind of like insider trading i suppose.
Just stay AWAY for those Nest POS thermostats. I remove 3-4 of them a month due to majors issues with them. The subbase on them seem to short frequently. One customers home Ive installed two nest they bought I’ve replaced the second floor one 3 times already. Finally the customer got sick of the issues and I installed a nice Venstar thermostat because they are made well and have little issues unlike Honeywell thermostats.

Could you please make a video on how to set it up for WIFI? I had this feature working perfectly fine, then it just stopped altogether. I cannot use the Cor App to control my thermostat anymore, what happened? I have tried to reset, uninstall, and reinstall the app and also tried reconnecting the thermostat to my home WIFI and nothing works. And from the feedback the Cor app gets on reviews I'm pretty sure I'm not alone.

How do you turn off the fan?
Yeah! I did not find that. It looks like fan can be only either on or auto
You need the Carrier infinity touch to be able to set different continuous fans speeds and a variable speed blower. Soon all systems will have ECM blower motors.
With the carrier Cor you can set the fan to auto or off for each profile/period if you want it to run when you wake/home/away/sleep. It doesn't have the function run to the fan for X minuted per hour like some other thermostats unless you have a ventilator (ERV/HRV). I like Venstar thermostats, Ecobee or Carrier Infinity Touch for capable Carrier equipment. I'm a Carrier factory technician.
