Took my daughter who is 11 now fishin this week on vacation and rigged her up with a slip bobber and she was catching some nice small mouth right off the edge of the boat. Thanks again.
On one of my trips to Canada I asked the owner of the resort if he ever had any luck slip bobber fishing. He looked at me like I had just crapped in his coffee. I don't know why more people don't use this method. It's also a great way to start your kids out fishing. Much better than spending all your time getting them unsnaged from trolling or drift fishing.

I love slip bobbers to I can go from bass fishing to panfishing all by just changing bait size.
Ive even had good luck with bass on crappie jigs.
It is the ultimate technique for all year and all species if you ask me.
I like the rubber beads that come loaded on a small disc with wire looped thru them. They last a long time and dont slide a lot

I remember way back when, bobber fishing when electronics were still a luxury, and we had to guess where we thought the fish might be.
