Great video and hitting all the major and minor details. Headed out tomorrow morning and going to slip bobber for some walleyes and saugeyes so this was exactly what I needed to see. Keep up the great content!

Sometimes on the slip bobber knot I also burn the ends of the slip bobber knots so they don't unravel.. just a suggestion but be careful 😉

Good info! I’ve had better hook ups when I use the plain hooks that the eyelet faces forward instead of towards the back. Vmc makes some nice red ones. Awesome videos!!

I really enjoy new water breakdowns. Part one: New lake analysis at home. I want to watch you read the topo map and identify what structure, depth, presentation (if you do and don't have Livescope) you're going to start with. Part Two: Going out on water and and working through your structure and how you react to water temp/vegetation/bottom composition. Changing strategies if you do and don't have Livescope.

I would like you to talk about your livescope mounded in the middle of your boat and the advantages and disadvantages for that location..i seems lije it needs to be in the front to help with boat control...

A bead works good above that swivel so the egg sinker doesn't wear on the braid knot.... Vmc make some tungsten weights also that are pretty popular too for a little more weight
Love that insight, Patrick! I started doing that some as well and I like that little trick! That is another reason I use split shots as well. Doesn’t seem to wear quite as bad on the knot

Great vid, thank you. Any tips on accurate casting when you can’t be directly behind the livescope pole and have to cast to an intersect point?
First I would get your distances down. That can only come with a ton for practice. Then I like to pick a point on shore I think the livescope is pointing to and try to intersect it at that fistance

I kayak fish with no electronics do you recommend a weighted slip bobber or a slip bobber with no weight to determine the depth of the lake
I still like a weighted slip bobber as you can still tell if your bait is on bottom. Just helps a little to get the bobber to sit upright.
Awesome video! Do you ever pull small cranks with lead core in deeper water? This is my go to later in the year, salmo hornets in 25-30 FOW.
I have not done that, I am not much of a troller, but i bet it’s super effective!

Thanks for the comment, Tom! This is the Blue color palette and I take out the blue and change it to black when I edit because it’s easier to see
When I put my bobber stops on and cut the length I want, I'll take a Bic lighter to the ends to prevent any type of fraying.
Great idea! If I get those cheaper stops again I will definitely do that!

It is actually the “blue” color scheme, but I edit out the blue because I think it looks nicer. Wish they would make this one!
@tjsguideservice I did play with blue and yellow screen. I found that putting the unit to night mode made a difference.
What mount do you use for your livescope transducer?
I use a mount, shuttle, and pole from Arclab! I have some links in the description if you’re interested. Otherwise here is a breakdown of how I do it.

Try doing a bottom bouncing video using the livescope, it’s deadly
He we will use a dropshot rig to kind of do the same thing.
Haven’t done bottom bouncing in quite some time, but there’s been a couple requests! Maybe break it out again!?
For sure! With the technology now, it’s much easier to use a dropshot to target those groups of fish!
I use a 1 1/2 to 2 oz bottom bouncer with the Northland spinners with the little foam floats on them, super cool to see the fish chase them LIVE
