      A great mod would be upgrading cooling system. Electric fans or new radiator Great video tho bro nice jeep

    Slip yoke eliminator is a must have if you lift an XJ. I didn’t spend the significant dollars for the TW driveshaft. I just got a front driveshaft from a wrecking yard for $30 and flipped it over. Been working like a champ for over a decade.

    FOR TIPS FOR DRIVING IN THE SNOW! if its a rear wheel drive car if you go to home depot or lowes and get some 50 pound bags of concrete and throw about 4 in the trunk 2 on each side it will drive much better

    Good looking XJ, just bought one a few months back a one owner lady driven an babied so excellent shape.
    I have been a Jeep owner for many years and owned several kinds but mainly Wranglers.
    Good tires make a huge difference on roads, many love the BFG's which are great and I personally like Toyo Open Country lll super in snow etc. If you run a lot of deep snow air down your tires for a wider footprint and better traction.

      Thanks! Sounds like you definitely got lucky finding your XJ. And I agree tires make a big difference in performance, no complaints with my ProComps

    I installed the 4 port injectors from Ksuspension. Very nice! I got the 5 Star LED headlights. The high beam is amazing. Very nice 45 degree off to the sides! I had the local car alarm store drill out that so annoying opden door alarm!

      Awesome! What is the benefit of the 4 port injectors? Been thinking about that as well

      @@KCars Been running them for a week. XJ ssrts better, quicker. Runs smoother. So far, I got 205 miles out of a tank vs 180 before. Not saying a huge power difference. Just feels like new.

    The flicker is due to the voltage in the line not matching the voltage requirements of the lights. It's usually an easy fix, I think it's pretty much just adding a resistor in-line for most cases.

    • @KCars
      @KCars  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I tried adding in an anti flicker harness but it actually caused the headlights to stay on while the Jeep was off. So I’ve just been dealing with the flicker

    jeep headlights actually stay on if you have your headlights on and shut the engine off and then shut your lights off, some sort of timer and probably for comfort as well, but if you shut your lights off before you shut your engine off your lights wont stay on. an alternative method is if the headlights stay on and you want them off, simply put the key into the ignition and flick the key on and off again, hope that solves your issue or part of it

    • @KCars
      @KCars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whenever I had the anti flicker harness installed, the headlights were turning on when I turned the ignition off, that’s why I took it out

    H4 harness adapter with new H4 housings and Hella bulbs is a much better option with better beam pattern and they don't ice over in the snow like LEDs. Also #2 really should be a AUX trans cooler. The AW4 is a bullet proof trans with 1 weakness, heat.

    • @KCars
      @KCars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the input! I actually haven’t had any overheating issues which is why I don’t have a need for a trans cooler just yet. Thanks for watching!

    • @cjhawk67
      @cjhawk67 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KCars The trans cooler isnt for overheating per say its more a fact the AW4 A340 Toyota Transmision they put in these (also found in mark 3/4 supras lexus sc300s and a ton of other toyotas from the 80s into the early 2000s) Will eventually fail due to heat from the stock in radiator trans cooler but with a aux unit added into the loop they will go forever. transmissioncoolerguide.com/best-transmission-coolers-for-jeep-cherokee-xj/ is a good source of info on coolers for them

    I just picked up a bone stock 99 cherokee sport. The rocker panels are gone, and the suspension is worn right out. Other than that the truck is mechanically sound, with 230k and it is a 5 speed 4 liter. But on the drive home i experienced death wobble around 55 mph. I havent had a chance to turn any wrenches on it yet, but could you give me a few pointers on where to start? I am already looking at replacement suspension/lift kits but i want to do what i can before i get the suspension in. I appreciate any response, and love the content👍

    • @KCars
      @KCars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t heard of having death wobble with the stock suspension, so that’s new to me. If you’re already planning to do a lift kit then I’d recommend getting a complete kit like the Rusty’s advanced lift kit, which is what I have. This way you’ll be replacing as many worn out parts as possible. I haven’t had any death wobble issues with my Jeep running this lift kit. Thanks for watching!

      I bought a 2000 model this weekend and drove it about an hour home, same wobble for me right at 55. Completely stock with basic tires, above and below 55 it runs fine, really strange!

    FYI... I did LEDs in my Jeep... was much brighter in summer and clear weather... Rainy night was different and on snowy slushy days forget it... zero visibility... the lens will not get hot to melt the snow and ice... I will be Getting a better LED from JW Speaker the 8910 series has heating filament in lens.

      That would be a good idea if you frequently drive in the snow and need that heating feature. I’ve ran into this issue once when I drove in a snow storm, the entire headlights got frozen over and I had to take the ice off of them by hand in order for them to be able to illuminate the road properly.

    Dude get yourself a locker in that rear axle. The difference is like night and day. Good tires that bite and a locker are the top 2 as far as off road performance is concerned. Lifts look sexy but a stocker with a locker will run rings around you off road. Upgrade your brakes. Stock Cherokee brakes suck.

    • @KCars
      @KCars  3 ปีที่แล้ว
