You won’t be disappointed with the 97, I bought a blue laminate model but only by chance a a guy I knew in my local pub had bought it only six months prior and he needed the cash and it’s like new it’s absolutely flawless and looks so nice in the blue laminate but as I mentioned it was only by chance this one came up as I was going to buy one anyway. But taking such a beautiful looking gun out hunting I was worried I’d mark the stock and ruin the look. And again just by chance I was looking on my local gun dealer’s website and he had a sporter stock for sale, used but in mint condition so that’s now wrapped around the rifle. All in all for the gun and stock it only cost me £350 which was an absolute bargain all round.
Mine is U.K. sub 12ft lb in 22 and got it dialled in at 30 yards and it’s pellet on pellet, everything is silky smooth from cocking to shooting. So in one way I’ve got two 97’s and is another Weihrauch to my collection a I have two HW95 k’s in 22 and 177 which are mega hunting rifles and not too heavy either so easy carry all day hunters. I also have the HW99s in 22 and that’s my grab and shooter for the vermin that sometimes frequent under my garden sheds and is a nice little full power rat basher.
And lastly my hw 100kt synthetic in 22 which is my midnight reaper for farmyard rat control for local farmers. So I’m a bit of a Weihrauch nut but when you buy a Weihrauch rifle your buying supreme German engineering resulting in a rifle that will last a lifetime if looked after and one that can be passed down to the next generation of young shooters.
Enjoy your new rifle I’m absolutely sure you’ll be bowled over with it.

Yes, I absolutely love it! I have had a few over the years and they never disappoint. This is my first at non full power with a 12lbs kit, so I have been trying to get used to it. They are not that common here because they are classified as a firearm and so, most just get a rimfire.
Thanks a lot for your insight

The best choice you could have made 👍 I own two of them and those are the last air rifles i'll ever sell. I Agree. Accuracy is more important than power. Thanks for showing your great buy 😁 I would recommend a Hawke Airmax series scope. I have 9 HW's in my collection and all of them has the airmax mounted. Never had a single issue with them . Not even with my full power HW80 in .25 cal. The one piece mounts from Sports match are great. Beware that the airmax 2-7X does not fit in the one piece mount and need a two piece mount. (love the 2-7X) You're gonna shoot a fly with that rifle... 😁Subscribed to your channel mate because i like honest unsponsored vids without a lot of b.s. Enjoy your 97! Cheers!

You have the KT ("Thumbhole") model - and you'll love it even more after upgrading it with the spring kit. I know I won't ever let go of my old HW97K in .177, the first serious airgun I ever bought (secondhand, in 2010). It's tuned with a Maccari spring and correctly fitting guide, better piston seal, custom moderator insert and has a recessed trigger blade for the properly and crisply adjusted Rekord unit. It's won me many prizes over the years (50 meters semi-benchrest accuracy matches) and brings a smile to my face every time I launch a pellet downrange.
All the best from the Netherlands!

You've really taken from the top of the pile with that acquisition. I purchased a sporter stock version four years ago. I remember one of my friends saying to me, at the time, "that's the best thing that I've ever seen you buy". About 4000 pellets later (about 1000 by my friend!), and I have to agree. Every time that I take the HW97 out, it just puts a smile on my face. Every time that I wipe it down with an oily rag and put it away again, the smile remains. There is just something special about the HW 97 that makes it a keeper, for life. You'll fall in love with yours, trust me.

Hi, Just subscribed to your channel. I bought a two year old KT in new condition here in the U.K. for £395-00 I think it was an absolute bargain. I agree with Raparlaron. The Airmax is the way to go. I have four Weirauchs. Collecters items. Such beautiful guns. I just bought an HW 35 thirty years old in superb condition but a bit pimped. I de-pimped it, fitted a vortek 12 lb kit. (firing at 22.5 ft lbs unbelievably. )Completely spoilt the gun. Now firing like a dream Have lots of fun with yours. David. U.K.

I have a 97 with the classic sporter stock, it's an absolute gem of a gun. Laser accurate out to 40m. I also have a HW100 bullpup for pest control, it's superb but really boring to shoot compared to the springer. I have to comment on your law though: by limiting it to 500 fps you can just put a heavier pellet in it to get the speed down and keep it legal, which isn't very sane. In the UK we limit muzzle energy, which is a pain in the ass but at least it achieves what the law is trying to do.

That is the insane thing about our laws. You buy it already set to 500fps and you have no way of knowing what pellet they used for testing and our local Police have no testing whatsoever. It’s very dumb
