This might be my answer for my family wanted me to take my daughter with me instead of having two kayaks. I don’t know though I want to see more kayak anglers review it.
Great episode as always. Just ordered one last week. What trolling motor shaft length do you think is required? 30" looks like might be too short? thanks
Hey Aliex nice vid, got a question for you. I got a vibe sea ghost and was wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade at some point. I’m a paddler I don’t care for peddles and motors. So are the shoalie or bonafide 127 or rvr, or other worth a upgrade? Or should I stick with the sea ghost?
the shoalie is a river boat, 127 does not paddle better than the sea ghost more stable yes but no, if you want like an upgrade type of paddling kayak, the PWR129 by bonafide paddles very well and if you ever want motors, you can easily add it, here is the water demo th-cam.com/video/OhrUSgBBSKM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=D7PPfglLiCN-L1hX like the old sayng says if aint broke dont fix it.... lol
Thanks for your knowledge aliex , I normally do fish rivers, small and Mississippi/Wisconsin so that is why I brought up the shoalie. Love your videos thanks for the hard work you put in to give us the Best Buy’s possible
@@Adamdover-nov2 then the shoalie is what you need :) it was made for that and this dude has won the bassmaster on it, i had the shoalie at icast, did very well.
I’m ready to see someone design a rod locker of some kind into one of these. That’s really the only thing this boat is missing. I prefer a clean deck like a bass boat vs having all these random add-on rod holders and attachments everywhere.
that is not a kayak. It needs more room on the sides to put tracks I also do not like how the center console opens. It needs some kinda pads to walk on. I wish it also had a drain system like a sit on top kayak. I sure as a little kid playing in a pond I would like this.
It has a drain plug like kayaks. It also has top deck gutter system like a house and they run water to side scuppers. It drains very well. Definitely needs Eva decking which is cheap and easy upgrade. More tracks is always a plus. I would not want vertical scuppers like SOT kayaks because those cause drag and on a vessel this size it would be a lot of drag. Glad they did side scuppers.
@@KayakDIY you might be totally right about the scuppers but I not taking back the other things I mentioned lol. Not hating on the little boat. Just some things I see. That and seat would be nice or a place to set up a seat with back support.
I'm sure it's a real hoot any wind over 5mph. Probably needs or doesn't have big enuff chines on the bottom so it doesn't slide around under foot so much
@@AliexFolgueira seriously tho I could see people using this on smaller inshore waters if it could be shore launched. Safer than a Jon boat I would imagine if it’s self bailing. And maybe light enough to get to the beach idk. Like around where I’m at people “surf launch” but it’s the Chesapeake bay. Could see use for that type of water.
Love this really really big kayak. Was fun hanging out.
ohhhh nooooooooo you called it a kayak! they are going to go after you now! lol lets take it fishing

Thank you, would you say the sea ghost 130 is still a better lake/light current river kayak. Or the shoalie is overall just the better kayak
Shoalie is a better kayak, the design is current, provent, remember it is a river boat! so it will be rocky and stuff
great setup !
we are 100000% flipping it for sure!
Do you have to stand all day? No seat?
You can seat on the deck or add your own bass boat seat 😃
Buy an inflatable seat from Bote. Pretty nice
That looks awesomely fun
your next fishing craft?
