Lol the well dressed riders make sure nobody gets anywhere near their immaculate prized possessions. If a car gets anywhere near them they bark out orders to get back or wait as they have the right of way over traffic
Driving is a privilege not a right. Hence why you need a license ( permission from the government) to drive on a public highway. As for VED the vast majority of Equestrians do pay that since they also own cars. Insurance is not compulsory but is recommended and the majority of Equestrians have it. However, as the law currently stands if something between a Horse and a vehicle then most likely both insurance companies would find the driver to be at fault. Especially if they fail to adhere to the Highway Code which states that drivers should pass Horses giving them at least 2 meters room and pass at 10mph.
@@clyde2598 I cycle in rural Norfolk where horse riders are fairly common. Slow down, let the rider you're passing and give the horse a wide berth. Despite their large size horses tend to be nervous. Upon passing the horse say "thank you" to the rider. Manners cost nothing.
The horses look very well looked after. Beautiful coats and well feed. The riders look like they live in a different world from us. Like Downtown Abbey is alive and kicking 😂
