I think a common theme in all your videos is how positive, upbeat, and energetic the people in the Villages seem to be, and who doesn't want to interact with positive people on a daily basis!
We love our life here in TV. We only say, we should have moved here sooner. Although we miss our family, they do come & visit since we are an hour away from WDW & Universal😍😍We are so happy & very involved here, with beanbag baseball, water aerobics, splash cardio, Red Hats, Koala Tea Group, Neighborhood Driveway Parties, Village Pops Chorus, Heart of Florida Barbershop Chorus, Church & so much more😃😉
I enjoyed hearing the varied responses. The last man who spoke seems to have summed it up perfectly - it's what you make it, it's your choice as to what kind of experience you want, and what kind of experience you'll have. Certainly encouraging for anyone considering a move there!
Missing family would happen anytime you uproot and go to a different area so I don’t think that would count as a negative. Personally, just listening to Jerry and Linda rave about the place is neat! Thanks for making Mondays and Thursdays so uplifting!
I loved listening to this with my family ❤. Great questions. I feel with over 3000 clubs in TV, everything you like to do (or always wanted to do…) is at your fingertips. Just jump in your Golf Car and go…the fun is also in the getting there 😊!!
Had fun doing an interview. From an outsider's perspective, if anyone regrets their decision to move to The Villages, it appears to be a wonderful place to have all the emotions, if that makes sense.
Fenney Rec Center- its has a bar and restaurant, Fit Club gym, resort pool, fire pit, 2 golf courses, concerts in the green and music/trivia at the pavilion, nature trail around the springs with the sports pool, pickleball, walking trail and outdoor exercise equipment across the street at Spanish Moss!!!
One word? "Fantabulous!" (Alaina's word) 😁 It's Florida - and with everything TV has to offer, including the general area with all the natural parks and forests, one should never run out of things to do! And, where what other community has "Jerry & Linda" ?!
Nice testimonies. I agree that YOU make it what it is for you. If you’re a happy person, you’ll be happy no matter where you are (same if you’re a miserable person 😏). 3 years til retirement!🥳⛳️☀️
Wow! I don't even live in The Villages, I say blue fin, Sumter Landing, Eisenhower because I love history, Pool, gym and Golf Cart Ride. I like the Beauty (just watching the videos, it makes me feel like, I am at the Villages). I watch several couples and singles youtubers at the villages!!! Started with Jerry and Linda and continue to many others. So, I Subscribe and Click Thumbs Up. 👍👍👍
I can afford The Villages based on my current FIXED income, but Florida has many rising costs and fees well above national averages. Nothing scares me more than being old and priced out of paradise.
That was a pretty long video. We hope to move there in a few years. We're in the discovery phase. Been there three times. We kept stopping the video to discuss our answers to each question based on our experiences. So far, our thinking parallels your friends. Makes us think we're heading in the right direction. We appreciate you so much. Brian and Debbie Glombowski.
Great format. Thank you! Other questions I’d love to see asked: What home style do you have? Which village do you live in? If you had to do it over, what would you do differently?
Yes more great questions. My husband is worried about Floridas humidity. Please ask how everyone adjusted to the humidity. Is it possible to get a good Dr. in The Villages?
Great one. I loved it so much I shared it. I had it on my bucket list to visit lots of new Florida beaches this year. Now I am thinking I will try to visit all the recreation centers.
So thrilled for them . Hope they have many happy years . Nothing for me though . Just got back from Vegas for shot show . Getting ready for track days at Sebring .
Love this video - thanks for posting ❤ I love you guys- and posting 2 videos this week while you are on vacation is extra work so double thanks 👏🏻🤩 Hope you had a wonderful time on you cruise 🚢 😍👍
Morning Jerry and Linda. Happy Thursday. Short video. Looking forward to Ascent content but like hearing from the ppl 🤗. But looks like questionnaire was done on vacation. Looks like the green keycard lanyard on some necks. Seems Eisenhower rules. The name tag Air Force story 🥹. Great outlooks. And no you’re not a horse 🐎 Linda 😂😂. You two are cute. 🥰. Have a great weekend. Colonoscopy for me today so you know I feel 🚽 -exhausting prep.
Now you need a video like this with South Siders vs North Siders. For those of us moving there and torn between the two as they both have their positives and negatives. What area will I enjoy the most? That would be helpful.
I just moved here and live in one of the most southern areas. My main problem picking the location was I loved them all. It was the view that finally made the decision for me.
@@brfrench1 Looking at the last of the homes available in Dabney. Little bit of fear that it won’t link up well with the new Eastport due to only the Bexley bridge. Also concerned about the Leesburg Turnpike water treatment plant. But I am leaning more towards the south side of the villages. Appreciate any advice :)
@@kimberlydeprey I live in Dabney and back up to a pond. I had looked in many areas over the past two years. The only negative I can identify for me personally is that 470 is near the back gates of Dabney and lots of trucks fly down that road headed to the turnpike. I have considered calling the Lake Co Sheriffs office to ask for some speeding monitoring. The way it is growing I anticipate this will not be the most southern part for long. Close to Sawgrass, my doctor is in Wildwood, my church is in Leesburg and I have been many places by car or golf cart. I haven’t been here a month yet so still a newcomer.
I think the south end will change dramatically in the near future as new amenities and Middleton area is built out. I thought I rea a new town center was in the works.
@@brfrench1 some really great deals in Dabney now. We have our home for sale and as soon as we sell we’re moving. Just really concerned about the Leesburg water treatment plant being built right there.
Nice video. Can you talk more about storage. We are coming from up north where we have basements. Can you store things in the garage and what kinds of things? Do people have storage units?
Jerry and Linda, could you answer a question about the county clubs? I’ve heard you say that if you live in TV that your amenity fee includes use of the country clubs, however you cannot use the country club pools? Do you have to pay extra for the pools? Just confused about whether you have to pay extra to join the country clubs and their pools. Thanks!
I am neither Jerry, nor Linda, but can provide an answer in case they can't get to your question. As a resident of The Villages, you would automatically be a "member" of all country clubs . . . HOWEVER, there are a handful of country club pools that even as a resident, you would have to pay what they call an "enhancement" to be able to use (I believe it's 7 of them). This is usually due to those particular pools having some unique feature (waterfalls), or an added perk (hot tub), that most other pools do not have. Hope that helps.
I love the variety of activities people enjoy and especially happy to hear about some arts activities like stained glass and glass fusion. So many opportunities to learn, practice, or teach things people love. And it's amazing that y'all took the time out of your cruise to keep creating and posting videos. Now go relax and have fun!
The attenuated video must have been cruise-related - just getting your landlubber legs back! You guys deserve your crusing fun, but what about the rest of us who salivate at the prospect of your twice-a-week installments?! Some rough seas without at least a 25-minute Jerry and Linda video! 😀 Nice sentiments expressed in the video!
I love seeing how the residents all seem to love their decision and the variety of the things they like and places to go. Great show. Maybe you will interview us once we get there.
Hi there! I have a question about meal plans. My husband and I use EveryPlate meal delivery. They deliver the meals to us and leave them at our door. Is that something that can happen at TV? Same with Amazon orders, can they be delivered to our door?

curious about this too- what % of satisfaction is climate and what % is social opportunities? also curious if you move and your spouse dies, do most people in that situation stay and keep up with activities if they are still healthy? some experts seem to say that older people should not be all together but retired people have more time to be together and they may have more in common with each other than with younger people...
That's my number one regret ( if I was ) living at the villagers , would be my family. Our son , daughter in law and granddaughts just moved back into our region and now we can visit them anytime . My question is what it costs to have fun. If you are always out doing things, there’s a cost to that. Guess I am asking what folks spend on entertainment in an average week.
A lot. It can be much less however. You can go to free entertainment in the squares every single night of the year. That's fun. You can walk on one of the many trails. That's fun too. What of our favorite pastimes his free, riding the golf cart. You can go to a movie on Tuesday for about $7. It's gonna cost more to go to a show at the Savannah Center or the Sharon. I think the video demonstrates selection bias and is skewed to younger active couples that you meet around the villages. It's hard to find the villagers that don't leave their homes. As the neighborhoods age there are people that don't leave their homes and are isolated. I don't know how to find the golf widows or the real widows for you to interview. You usually don't sound like a developer employee.
