Enchantment! Yea had to slap meself for upgrading too early, too soon. Never on common. Least greens or blue rarity. Team Mage, never been. feels good.
@Makoto03 how is rogue? I usually play rogue, but didn't like how anime the abilities looked? That's obviously just my personal preferences, how's the game play?
@@raginasiangaming910I started as an elf rogue and ended up starting over as an elf spell blade. Rogue is cool it’s all about movement very flashy squishy but you put out crazy damage only switched cause battle mage was calling me lol
@godlysix5046 the melee mage looked really cool. I'm trying to replicate my unkillable solo warrior from Inquisition. Not sure if it'll work or not because mechanics are pretty different. But it is fun being a total tank. On the other hand, boss fights can take a while since my damage output is pretty low. I'm really liking the combat tho. Killed a lvl 25 boss at level 8. Took half an hour, but really cool that you can pull it off through skill.
I knew I was doing it wrong! After I finish messing up everything in the game, I’m going to have to replay the game but do it right. I’m doing spellsword Shadow Dragon. Dagger and Orb is so much fun.
I played Inquisition like 10 times and already I'm not finished my first playthrough of Veilguard but know I'll be playing it multiple times. My first round is on the easy mode (one level below standard) so I can enjoy the story and then I'll go back and utilize all these tips that you and others have provided.
I'm playing a Warrior/Reaver. Doing lots of Necrosis and Bleed. Using items that provide leech from damage dealt and increased leech from bleeding targets, have constant precision with Harding in my party. Pretty much just shield throw everything like Captain America, while afflicting everything and leeching life from my enemies. Love this game!
Loving the game so far. I'm using a ranged rogue. Built up a big bonus if I can fully charge and hit a weak spot. Plus also get necrotic blades on a week spot hit. So works for close range too. Still pretty early on.
Found a unique bow that limits your arrows to one for the rogue. Been having fun building around quicker arrow regeneration and get arrows back with kills or abilities! Loving this game, the builds are wild!
Thank you for the great tips. I am currently playing an elven Crow assassin mage spellsword build. Death by stabby lightening! it's all about turning people into arcane bombs and then making them explode with my knife. :) :) :) very fun.
I've yet to see a video that speaks to what each faction vendor focuses on. You have commented quite a bit about how you want necrotic damage so you go to mourn watch, but that's 1/6. what are the others good for?
I’ve been rolling a sword rogue, but I stack arrows because of this unique that gives me 50% more melee damage but consumes an arrow on hit, only needs a fully upgraded azure bow
Im stuck trying to find material to go from vendor Rank 2 to 3? when i hover my mouse over it, it doesnt even say the name of the mat. Looks to fade touched ore maybe? Not sure where to get it. Says I need 5 of them.
I'm in chapter 7 and didn't know half of this lmao. The tutorial system needs to be updated. I didn't even know what an enchantment was until the game said I can add them 13h into the game lol.
That's because you can't even use them until that point. They just randomly unlock after a certain point. It's not like they were there the whole time, and they didn't say anything.
Im playing shadow mage and its totally broke if you get the item build out that lets you use health instead of mana and lean into low health increasing damage. Stuff dies faster then i can detenate abilities. I have switched to using the time slow buffs and offensive buffs because setting up detention is worthless. I think all the mage builds are insane if you get the right gear. I also like that gear allows for different builds within a given specialization. However nothing comes close to the shadow specialization. Its insane.
6:12 My black emporium took forever to open, Idk if it is because I let Mynratos get rekt by the Dragon, but I only opened the thing way after I killed the 2 blighted dragons so after part 9, AND then I talked to some criminals in Dock town for them to takecover, that's when it appeared for me.
Look at your companions theme and which faction they belong to. For example, Bellara is a bow user and lightning mage. She is a veil jumper. So veil jumpers specialize in ranged damage and lightning damage.
also destroy stuff you can destroy, they will often drop money, stuff to sell and crafting stuff, you can trade crafting stuff for money by some vendors
@@SonicAlpha yep! And then the outer court from there... and a vendor where you can sell the flawless crystals to for 60g/10. I'm averaging 40 crystals a run, plus valuables, plus gold drops.
@minoesch8033 Yes you can. Just break barrels, boxes, jars, vases etc etc and then travel to another location and then back to keep breaking open things. Its a grind but you will get enough valuables to raise all vendors.
Any way to find items from a faction vendor after a certain decision makes them unavailable? I tried to level them up before that choice but only got to rank 2, and they had on sale the weapon I really needed for my build, but since he's gone I can't acquire it anymore. I'm seriously considering restarting my playthrough just to powerlevel that vendor asap so I can get that weapon, unless you give me the amazing news that the Black Emporium gets it in stock (I'm not talking about an unique piece).
There is a vendor that appears after Weissupt in the Crossroads that represents the vendor you lost during a certain decision. They allow you to increase reputation for the lost city.
Will say this: If you dont want to steamroll over enemies and actually be able to use combos and such, DO NOT play on Storyteller mode. You can get through content just mashing Light and Heavy attacks and it is way too easy.
Yeah, I was very skeptical of this game and have been pleasantly surprised. I actually really like the combat system. The action system let's me hack and slash fast through easy fights, but rewards me for pausing and combining abilities in tougher fights. Only complaint is Bellara. Her lines seem to try too hard to be "cute/silly" and the actress compounds it with some overacting. Had a couple spots where I was really feeling that old school DA vibe...and Bellara ruins it by sounding like an imported Pokémon character.
@TheRealMadpaddy yeah, fair. I think this game is solid but probably will divide people over the ways that it differs from the classic DA games. Glad you're enjoying it. I personally think it's a pretty solid game. I do think their attempt at depicting modern social agendas/issues, not going to say anything else, was awkward , ill-advised and unnecessary. Why even bring that up, especially since it just feels very awkward and out of place. My companions are arguing about petty crap while there's psycho God's running around blighting the world. I want to do the Renegade Shepard thing and tell them to shut up and do their job.
@@TheRealMadpaddy yeah, the boss battles are great. I like that you can beat them with skill. Beat the level 25 ogre boss in Treviso at level 8. It took me forever (probably close to 30 minutes), but I got it done. What class/ build are you guys using? I'm trying for a variant on my immortal solo build from Inquisition (tank warrior but using a 2hander instead of shield).
Depends on what are you looking for. Its not a Old School DA Game but it is a decent ARPG and im enjoying it. Yes it has its flaws and some awkward writing, but it also has stunning Set Pieces, Fun Combat a bit of Exploring and Group Inertactions. If you can see past the streamlined Design and the fact that it hasnt the Dark and Gritty Theme to it id give it a try. Its far from the disaster rage Bait Videos try to make you belive.

I’m going full rogue duelist can’t wait to start upgrading I’m still pretty early.
At the beginnin of the game you can only complete the statue puzzle but in order to open the room you need to recruit all of your companion first.
This game is awesome. Getting better every step foward.
Combat is great, exploration is easy enough to solve but hard enough to feel the serotonin hit imo.
I’m enjoying myself a lot !
Don't go overboard or you'll become blind 😢
Thank you. Loving Veilguard so far. Still very early in the game, playing as an elven rogue Rook.
So i appreciate the tips.

6:12. My Black Emporium opened up following the Weishaupt mission. I reached Level 39 and it opened up as a quest in Minrathous.
Great video. I'm trying to focus on bleed and effects that enhance DMG vs bleeding enemies.

I got all the music room opened but no wisps apparently they only appear after chapter 8.
Good to know, thaught I had a bug, 'cause I don't have those either. Finished the statue puzzle very early in the game.
THANK YOU. I was about to ask about this very thing, because I found the puzzle early on and didn't see the wisp gates

Can u still enchant gears after it was enchanted or is it a 1 time thing
Hey anybody please, how earlycan we unlock this? 5:32 cuz I've unlocked my room but theres no blue thingies and the next door wont open ):
After you recruit all companions
My room has no wisps in it? Any clue why?
mine doesn't either, maybe they will appear later in the game?
Was just going to say this the statues have all faced each other and clicked but the room hasn't changed no pedistals or wisps...
You need to have all companions, then a Npc Will appear and it will make the wisps appear
Where do I go to sell old equipment that I don’t want?

i just finished my first playthrough of the game and not once did i realize you could enchant abilities 😭
How is your head a crow?
40 hour in and I'm researching about this😂
HOW DO YOU GET BIRD HELM
is there a way to farm gold?
is it ok to buy weapons early game or is it best to keep my gold for end game?
From what I seen, you can fast travel back to an area and all enemies respawn, and you can just farm them like that
also destroy stuff you can destroy, they will often drop money, stuff to sell and crafting stuff, you can trade crafting stuff for money by some vendors
Evoker freeze mage and control mage maxing on control and projectile, but only level 9 so nothing online yet.
The question is.... is there another money glitch, like in the Undercroft?? 😂
Yes. Technically... Valuables respawn when you quick travel... most I've heard about in one place is a room on the Docks..
