There were literally 100s of thousands of Chicanos/Mexicans serving with the US Armed Forces in Vietnam from the late 50s until the end in 1975. I am sure that there a 1000s of half Chicano/Mexican children born in Vietnam during the war years. I remember so many Chicano/Mexican troops serving in Vietnam in 1971 when I was stationed at the CamRahn Air Base, RVN. There was a famous Chicano named Sgt. Soto who was a Marine Security Guard at the American Embassy during the Tet Offensive of 1968. His name appears in the''BATTLE OF SAIGON: The Tet Offensive'' 1968 by Wm. Keith Nolan
Nice haircut . It’s Chicano ! Glad you found this barbershop. I haven’t seen it in TH-cam. There is no foreign TH-camrs who live in Vietnam made a video of this place. Usually foreign TH-camrs who live in VN made all kinds of videos for the activities there. Thank you for sharing this interesting video. Have fun and stay safe !
Awesome! Thank you! If you have any other recommendations please do tell me i love this country and the people are EXTREMLY NICE TO ME… i can’t say thank you enough!!
They fell in aw for the art and culture and put that style on the map in there own country. It’s fascinating how the style and culture has spread to a diff country.
I can tell already this guy is a Midwest or east coast USA cart. The viet's and Mexicans on the west coast are tight AF, I'm not surprised by this at all.
Damn as a man that’s half Mexican str8 from the mean streets of Chicago I gotta say these cool mf’er’s 🍻🍻🤘🏽🤘🏽 Mad Respect 🫡 and they str8 hooked this man’s head up 😆 Great job on this video !!
In East LA we call this the Cholo lifestyle. I'm Chicano from Boyle heights and I've spent my life avoiding people who look like them. Long live President Bukele.
Yes for me he did it just like my barber would back home.. even with language barriers (other barbers spoke some English to explain to him) it was perfect! He also only asked for for 200,000vnd which it $8.20.. i couldn’t let that happen so i gave him around $22 in VND.. as you know in America you can’t buy much for $8.20😂
I think my comments deleting. I had written about how u should check out Japanese low rider culture. Really cool videos on YT. And that this was cool concept to show top tat/barber shop like that. Weird how some comments don’t show

I’m pretty sure some V boys or viet gangster from LA have been deported back to Vietnam so they should be the first to dress like that there. That said viets and other Asians (including pinoys) didn’t always have good relations with Mexicans at that time
