  • Going through the process of buying your first home in Canada in detail based on my recent experience. Sharing what I have learnt going through the process of buying my first home in Canada. I look at what you should do first, how you should prepare for buying a home, minimum credit score to aim for, your income, down payment requirements and acceptable sources of your down payment, closing costs and the land transfer tax credit that exists for first time home buyers.

    Hey Busi, absolutely love your videos, I'm planning on immigrating to Canada, can you please do videos about life for the kids, like schools, activities, nannies, etc. I have a daughter and would like to know more about the schools as I'm planning on moving with her.

    What is the duration of years to pay in Canada and are homes expensive compared to SA

    • @joxa1013
      @joxa1013 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can get a 15 yrs, 20yrs 25 yrs even 30yrs payment plan. Below 350k for a 3 bedroom, it will be very difficult but you can still find something reasonable if you take your time. It's good to give yourself approximately 6 months to prepare and purchase stress free.

    Thanks for the video. How long after moving to Canada, and obtaining a full time income, were you able to obtain a bond/mortgage?

    • @parkerbohnn
      @parkerbohnn ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't worry you'll die of old age first before ever saving enough for a down payment. Same story for everyone else.

    Please how many years can one use to pay for your mortgage ,like it 10 years or more

    • @parkerbohnn
      @parkerbohnn ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to make about $250,000 a year just to qualify for a mortgage.

    • @busi.global
      @busi.global  ปีที่แล้ว

      The highest I’ve seen is 25 years.

    • @busi.global
      @busi.global  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is not true!!! The home price affects how much you need to earn to get a mortgage, there’s no “minimum entry” amount you need to make to get a mortgage.

  • @theqsfamilyvlog7946

    How much is closing cost?

    • @busi.global
      @busi.global  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It varies depending on the cost of the house. Online calculators for mortgages can help you get an idea of how much you’d need based on the cost of the home you’re looking for.
