Your house is so beautiful. I love the golden faucet, the flooring design, oh my gosh I love the pantry. Then the family flex room instead of the balcony is the perfect.
The amount of natural light in the family room is amazing. Plenty storage spaces. The faux plants are beautiful ❤. The children’s closet is the bomb. Your huge backyard is wonderful for kids to play. Hmmm, that walk in closet for the Masters is adorable.

Thank you so much! I appreciate your comment. This floor plan on a standard lot is currently starting at $630,000 with upgrades similar to ours, it will be cutting close to $700,000. On a bigger lot size like ours, it's currently starting at $730,000 and with similar upgrades, it will be close to $800,000. I hope you find this helpful.

What builder did you use if I may ask. I have a friend looking to buy a house in Alberta. She is Ontario also. A connection to the builder will be of help. Thank you
I think she used mattamy homes. I have a friend that built a similar home but a 4 bedroom and they used mattamy homes. Your friend should connect with mattamy homes, they have similar floor plans.

Congratulations! I wanted to ask your opinion about how racist Alberta is these days. Especially in places outside Calgary and Edmonton. What is your take on that?
Thank you! Living abroad for people of African decent is tough and racism is everywhere. It's more institutionalized in Canada than everyday in your face type. That being said, Alberta is becoming really diverse. There are Black people everywhere who have found ways to navigate life here and still live decently. So you will feel supported if you moved to the Calgary or Edmonton area if you are looking to be around people of colour.

Congrats on your new home. It's beautiful. The bonus/recreational room is also much better than having a veranda. The veranda would be a waste of space in winter, and I have never seen anyone on a veranda even in summer. People would rather hide behind walls or use the deck in the yard. Lol. Ps: your accent is beautiful.
Thank you so much. I agree with you. A balcony in front of the house is has no privacy and so even in the summer, it's not so useful. I love that we have a better use of space with our floor plan.

Very beautiful congratulations! Consider adding LED pot lights in the living room for brighter light. It’s very worth it. The cabinets still look good without being raised. People raise them also because they don’t want dust accumulating on the top.

Beautiful house with great space I must say. How much did the house cost(must not be precise). Could you compare and contrast buying an already built home vs p reconstruction home. Could you share the information of your builder. Did you guys get the lot. I am looking at moving to Edmonton but not certain whether or not to build or buy an already built home.
