    Ok guys there is helmet clips under the seat both sides if fact they normally need to be bent up a little at the end to slid the helmet claps over the pins each side . Most of us owners have rewired (simple wire to battery) the navi comes with both AC/DC power and convert it just to DC and make the lights turn on with the key and upgrade the headlight halogen/ led much improved lighting . At the same time I recommend a USB port ( phone charger) to the handle bars and a tach/hour meter . The stock windshield and rear rack are extremely cheap factory add-ons. I highly recommend a cheap remote bicycle alarm as they are very easy to just pickup or carry off .I also add mirror extenders note the left lever is offset slightly inboard . As for proformance they have upgraded carbs,exhaust, cams,and both variator plus clutch is the best first upgrade. Once broken in 50 mph is normal flat no wind . I also recommend on first oil change to add a magnet oil plug I also put one in the oil screen plug this are off the ruckus and scooter swapshop has most upgrades good riding have fun .

    I'm a new rider and I bought it as my first bike. I hadn't even ridden a bicycle in like 11 years. So for me, I felt it was more important to get back my confidence on two wheels while not having to learn to work a clutch. With this, you can get your balance, slow maneuvering, throttle control, and everything else down to the point where when I want to learn a clutch bike, I'm going to be able to do the overall operation and maneuvering in my sleep to where clutch control is all I'll have to focus on. My balance at slow speeds while learning will be automatic. Also, it's small size actually really helps with your confidence in traffic. Because on a Navi, you feel SMALL around every other vehicle on the road, and that could be really intimidating for new riders. If you can learn enough confidence to be in any type of traffic, zipping around without worrying about all of the large vehicles around you, I think it makes it 10 times easier to navigate traffic in a bigger bike where you feel bigger.

      @MotorsandMischief  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes! Agreed! Car dealerships are doing it too. Saw a $100,000 markup on a Raptor Type R the other day. We don't understand why the manufacturers don't clamp down on that sort of behavior from their dealerships, but short of that the only way to combat this is to not shop at any dealership that engages in this markup scam. If we all refuse to pay it, they'll have no choice but to stop charging it or go out of business. Thank you for your comment!

I keep it in the garage its my first brand new motorcycle. i watched this video over and over untill i got my honda. If your heavy like my dad it only gets up to about 40 to 43 and if your 104lbs like me you can get it to its speedo limit but the muffler gets really really hot. i put LED lights in the front and the tail lights and signals but they flicker at idel so i had to get a resistor thingy to bypass the alternator

      Its tough when the dealer doesn't want to honor the MSRP. We wish Honda would penalize dealers who do this. It's tougher when you're in a small town. Try calling dealers that are further away and getting a written quote, then take that to your local dealer. Lots of times they'll match it to keep your business. Good luck!

    • @MotorsandMischief
      @MotorsandMischief  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We hear you; that's a legit concern for sure. If you like riding motorcycles, or think you will, we always, always recommend starting with a dirt bike. You can pick up a nice Yamaha TTR-230 or Honda CRF230 or literally a dozen other models that will be tons of fun on the trail and only set you back a few thousand dollars. We just bought a 2006 TTR-230 here in Denver for $1800 (video coming soon!). If you go this route, you can enjoy riding without having to worry about someone making a left turn into you while they talk on the phone. You can have a lot of fun and if you drop a dirt bike, you just pick it up and keep riding - no fairings to damage, no traffic to hit you afterwards. And if you'd still like to get on the street, you can get experienced and comfortable off-road and then transition to on road, and that way you're not trying to learn to ride and dodge traffic at the same time. You can hone your riding skills and then add traffic once you're comfortable. Thanks for commenting!

      The good thing is it's more of a scooter In a look of a motorcycle. That means it's easy to ride. No shifting low to the ground and dirt cheap. The advantage of a manual is also on the Navi in a form of a kick starter.

    • @MotorsandMischief
      @MotorsandMischief  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is in the US where we are. The only vehicles that don't require a license are under 50 cc (at last here in Colorado). The Navi uses a 109 cc 4-stroke single. We have a, uh, friend who doesn't have his motorcycle license and has been riding for 30 years in the states and has even been pulled over a few times, and not a single cop has cared about the missing motorcycle license (he does have a regular driver's license). So a lot of the time in the US it depends on the individual officer. But legally speaking, yes you need it.

Honda says 110 miles per gallon , not true because the other day i did a 50 r/t and run out of gas at 50 miles and hit reserve. i keep gas at my home and carry a 1 qt. Gas container in my saddle bag. i cruise on highway mostly at 40 mph. and sometimes i cruise at 45 mph.

      Sigh. We need to make a stickie of this because we've had to answer it so many times. Yes, you are 100% correct, there are some terrible dealers out there. These are the same types of dealers that think its ok to mark up a 392 Jeep by $50k. It is not ok, and the manufacturers should not allow this. Until they step up, all of us need to vote with our wallets. DO NOT BUY VEHICLES THAT HAVE A DEALER MARKUP. Under any circumstances. Ever. No matter how badly you want the vehicle. If we all did that, dealers would stop marking stuff up. That said, there are GOOD dealers out there. You just have to find them. We absolutely, 100%, honest to goodness and no foolin' bought the Navi in this video for $1807 plus destination charge. Because our dealer doesn't mark stuff up. Which is why we buy from him. If you had reached out to our dealer in Idaho you could have bought a Navi for $1807 and shipped it to your house for less than the $3200 you paid. But honestly, there are probably good Honda dealers closer to you. You may have to drive 2 hours or 4 hours but they're out there and we have to, must, 100% have got to, stop paying the markup. Its unnecessary and it only encourages this horrible behavior. With that out of the way, we're glad you're enjoying yours; sounds like a lot of fun :) Thanks for the comment

      It really depends on what you like. The Navi hasn't got as much power as the Grom, and the Monkey is way more comfortable than either. Depending on your size and comfort level with riding, the absolute best bike might be Honda's new XL150 dual sport, which is cheaper than the Monkey or the Grom by about $300 ($2971 MSRP) and is getting rave reviews all over TH-cam. Given the choice between all 4, we'd go with the XL150 personally, but that's because it would fit our riding style and body type better. Thanks for the question!

I think we can agree it doesn't get any more authoritative than the product page for the bike we're discussing on the manufacturer's website. Now read the preview text. What does it say? It says "Navi - Pocket Bike & Mini Motorcycle - Honda" So right there on Honda's website, they specifically call it out as a pocket bike. You may know more about the Navi than the people who built it, but I sure don't, so we'll go with what Honda says, which is that the Navi is a Pocket Bike.

      The 110cc is $1807 MSRP, plus $200 destination, plus $100 freight, out the door $2107 plus tax, just like we said in the video. You can verify that on Honda's website right now. We're surprised we keep having to say this but its important so we'll say it again: Dealers can mark up their bikes as much as they want but that doesn't mean we have to pay it and we advise everyone NOT to pay it. It just encourages price gouging by the dealerships. Find a local dealer that doesn't mark up their bikes and do business with those guys. This one in the video was purchased for $1807, and our local dealership will absolutely sell you one right now for $1807. Find a good dealership and then give them your business.

      That’s just not true. Certainly dealers are marking up them up. As we keep saying over and over, don’t buy from those dealers. It’s $1807 for the. Ike, plus $200 destination charge and $100 freight. Taxes in most US counties are between 4 and 6 percent, so say 6% for this example. That’s $126.40. Registration is generally based off of price plus some basic fees so let’s say $50 average. $1807+$200+$100+$126.40+$50 = $2283.42 out the door. Not “over $3000.” We know because that’s what this one was purchased for. Don’t buy at dealers that won’t honor the MSRP. Thanks for your comment.
