wow, the Darkstar Augur is way less dangerous than it seems. at least with all that life gain. it's the kind of card i'd be excited to use in constructed, but scared to use in draft, but wow it's good.
12:40 -- Taking the Bell over Rootweaver.. Is the bell that good or the weaver no good? People seem to be passing those Rootweavers a lot - is there a reason for them not being that popular picks? Well - I sure don't mind that - I like them..
Oh yeah and the bell is good as safety with the Darkstar Augur.. I guess the Rootweavers get taken so late because there's not that many good cards to splash - and many 3 color ones are 3 drops - not something to ramp into.. Still I probably would have played them in this deck because the splashbat was 5 drop and also they'd be good for getting offspring for Darkstar Augur that needs the second colored pip for that. Offsprings in general being good sink for ramp tho not requiring colored usually and there being that expend 4 mechanic it's bit surprising they are not valued higher tho.. But Kenji did not need them for 7-0 .. :O Conga-Rats!
Oh - of course the Rootweavers not hawing a synergy creature type might be a factor in their unpopularity.. Of course good colorless cards get picked earlier.. But I kinda think that if you play green you should play ramp creatures regardless.. They might be bit negatively power crept compared to common ramp creatures in recent sets but they are not bad I think..
Yo man, We just played a draft match and I’m reaching out because you did a video a long time ago about quick draft and I remember at that time you were not familiar with it and it sounded like you weren’t in to it. Im asking this because I was playing with a quick draft deck and I’m curious if you were NOT. Thanks for your time, your videos and for the W… 😹
@@RagsTattoo they have a rare and uncommon as well as common spell that's better with birds. So it just goes to show they are so bad you don't even consider them a typal.
@@curreypasuco7281 Yes, but both mythic birds have a different color from the rest (Maha and Dragonhawk). If we take that into consideration, there are only 13 bird cards in the set sharing the same color. And if you pay attention to their abilities, they don't buff other birds, they actually buff cards without flying in general. That's why I said they were designed as a "support for other types".
@@RagsTattoo Yeah they are great for supporting other creatures.. The azorius hybrid bird that put's +1/+1 counters on attack on target non flying creature is pretty good with mice for enabling valiant and I ended up playing first picked Salvation Swan in a frog deck even tho it's off-color as I also had Helga and multiple creatures that ramp any color.. Trophied with that.. :D
Im glad you acknowledged how good of a sealed pack pack 1 was ❤
Kenji loves Bloomburrow now, confirmed

I like how he kept saying he shoulda been in x color pair (which is totally reasonable btw) but still ending up trophying anyway. Good one golden god
Is that the same woman in both bot comments pfp lmao
ive banned hundreds at this point but there is no stopping them lol
I report them and they go away from my feed but they are still there for others
Dang, Mr 7-0 over here! Three in the last couple days. Woot woot 🎉

Of course the Bell may be bit more reliable as it can also get a green source when you don't have one..
Oh yeah - the bell is also bit better forage fuel.

Are you doing any DMU draft?
probably not
39:35 why did you not have fun this match? Seemed like you were having fun to me.

I haven't played today so it was probably a different account you played against
@@NumotTheNummyYTjust looked at the screen shot and it looks like I played “nummy” and not “Nummy” ha!
Wouldn’t Surveil off the Soothsayer be great with Darkstar?
NumotTheNummy, cool content my guy
Lol otters the worst have you ever seen a person play birds?
Nobody actually play birds because they aren't a creature type based deck, they are a support for other types, adding flexibility.

True on the support other stuff bit. Maybe they should have made birds in all colors at common to really hit that supporting role.
5-2 on the play 😪😴
