I remember the days when there were only 2 locking pins and the headlight would come right out. These new trucks are just a pain.

This is great! I use this video to change out my headlight bulbs and the step by step was vital to my completion of this project! I have saved this video to my playlist and will subscribe to this channel as I feel the information is vital to F-150 owners!
Thank you! Did you know that F-150 headlamp assemblies have more fasteners than an entire Pontiac 400? But they only take 3/4 of the time to assemble. I just love Ford’s “Better Ideas”. 😂. What a PITA!

Getting the actual housing out of the car is much harder than the video shows IMO.
To change the bulbs just pull the inner wheel well back out of the way. 🤦🏻♂️
how tf can engineers make something as simple as changing a lightbulb a challenge

My Platinum only has one harness. No bulbs to transfer. do you sell an aftermarket headlight like that?
Any tips for the 10 mm bolts that are corroded?
Ford should be ashamed of themselves for this. It’s almost amoral to design things this badly.

What in the ENTIRETY of hell is this, why!?
Yeah I'm pretty disapointed in ford for this.
Who in the heck designed this crap. It use to be 2-4 bolts that hold on the light bulb or just reach behind it and twist. This is total crap. They need to have regular guys come teach Ford that this way too much effort to change a dang bulb. I bet installation at an auto shop is at least $50-$100! Stupid ford
This is even harder if you have fender flairs , this is ridiculous
Anybody know what fuse the driver side headlight is? I cant find it in the book
+Zach Williams Thanks for checking us out! From what we could find the fuses 12 & 55 should be the ones that control the headlights. It seems there was not a specific fuse for these rather these are controlling multiple electronic features. If these are incorrect you may be able to contact your dealer for further assistance with locating the correct fuse number.
I hate when TH-cam gives me results like this where the procedure is done according to grouped model years. Every damn channel has different groupings. Some say 2018-2020 are the same procedure, others say 2015-2019, one said 2014-2020. I specifically searched for 2019 and this channel pops up grouping 2015 and 2016 year models together, they don’t match my truck nor my search.
Then there’s all these yahoos “this is the easy way” or “take this shortcut”
If you’re taking shortcuts it means it’s because you don’t know how to do it right and probably fucked something up on your last repair.

It's right on top of the assembly you can't miss it if you open the hood and look straight down.
This video does not do any good for 2015 Ford F-150 lights. Totally different design and bulb
All that work you have to do to change bulb. That you didn't film how to so it. What happened to step by step. If tour going to do it right show every detail no matter what. So people trying to save alot of money . This much work cost you more to take that all off cost 400 or 500 to change a headlight. Why not put led or hello headlight .That to much work for a builb.Going back to a gmc less work.

So how many Ford engineers does it take to change a headlight?...ubviously NONE!, otherwise they would have NEVER designed them this way!...WTF!...
That's cute and way too much work. I got a 2015 F150 Lariat. I take out the air filter compartment and undo 3 clips for my intake since I got an ecoboost. And bam got access to my headlight bulbs. This is just nonsense. Passenger side just undo the wheelwell panel by the tire then pull it back.
You realize this is for someone looking to replace an entire headlight and not just the bulb correct?
Talk about over engineered. The german's must of made that part.
Excuse me, you didn't show how to change the bulbs. Why would you change the assembly and if you did you would still need to change the bulbs.
I own this truck.......Ford sucks,every possible maintenance item is nothing but a PITA..On GM this is a 2 min job
