Well done! Reminds me of my father, who died when I was 11. He worked at a Copper Refinery. Worked the same hours as you. Took care of his small family, even after he died. My mom didn’t have to worry about a mortgage payment. He had the house my mom still lives in, built from the ground up, and paid cash. He set a great example. My work ethic is the same. Go watch some Humble Marksman videos he goes into detail about why he likes a 4 inch gun for competition over 5 inch guns. The slide cycles faster and helps him stay in rhythm .

I saw one at an LGS, loved it at first sight before I even picked it up. Then I tried it and really loved it more. Then I stupidly didn't just buy it on the spot. It was gone the next day and it took me months before I found one at another LGS. Bought it immediately and cannot say enough what a great pistol it is.

@jakewinternheimer7297 I'm using Aliengear. They make options for IWB and OWB that fit nice and are adjustable. I liked the default positioning, but they sent a box-o-parts to adjust almost everything so I fiddled with spacers and Allen screws until it was just right for comfort and retention
I run a CZ PO9 and everyone that picks it up and runs it, falls in love with it immediately... I love it... It feels great in the hand, it's got a really really low bore axis, which I'm a fan of- takes alot out of the recoil and it's not hard to be really accurate with it... It's Single/Double Action also... Depending on what holster I'm using, I'll generally carry in condition 2, but it's in condition 1 in my truck. The PO9 either has a safety or a de cocker- I run with the de cocker- you cannot safely lower that hammer manually... FYI. Just looked on gunbroker- I see your shadow is running around 1299... The PO9 is 575... There's absolutely nothing that could be done to that weapon to make it 1000 more than I paid for it... I picked it up for 375 6 years ago... Find someone that has one and try running it... You'll never mess with Glock or Sig again. 9:00 I spit my coffee out. 18:18 As much as I would like to agree with you- I've had to get up at 0245 to leave for 0315 to drive over 2 hours to work and 2.5 hours back home everyday from Houston to Austin... Not long ago the P09 was $315 on dahlonega armory, which is when I got mine. Love it, but I for whatever reason, couldn’t get comfortable carrying it for a few reasons. Great gun though. And shit, Houston to Austin is about as bad as my old 24 hour shifts on the ambulance service that I worked 2.5 hours away from home, and drove another 500 miles every shift in the truck. It sucks. Especially at the $13 /hr emts/medics make

Dude has more beard than brains. Picked up my CZ Shadow 2 today. After zeroing and a little practice, hit 1 gallon milk jug at 100yds first shot. Oh, and I’m using the factory iron sights. Shot first 150 rounds with 100% reliability. Very nice shooting accurate pistol.
It is all about comparison. Try DWX, you will notice you can have much better results than with Shadow 2. And you do not need to upgrade a single thing there. DWX is just better gun.

For competition I also use Beretta 92x Performance from Langdon, Dan Wesson DWX, and Walther Q5 Steel Match. They all good, I like them, and will never sell them. But Shadow 2 is not very impressive comparing with others. To make it exceptional I will need to replace barrel and bushing, but that requires gun smithing, I cannot make it myself. And that makes the gun overly expensive. I have paid for the Shadow 2 almost $1300, and already invested about $400. New barrel, bushing and fitting will be another $400... I cannot justify such expense.

It worked.

CZ has owned Dan Wesson since 2005. Shadow is a good pistol. Does the job. I shoot one 7 years in competitions. Very reliable and fast shooting gun. DWX is a 2011 perfection made on CZ 75 platform. Wanted this gun for years. Now you made me order it.

I like getting up early, I get to talk to the Almighty, everything is quiet. nobody bothers you. my youngest gets up for school at 0600 and is out the door - so I have that hour of 'chaos' my eldest child calls me at 0700 when he leaves his home and is going to work for 0800.. I'm a broken medically retired firefighter, broke my neck and back in a structure collapse a long time ago. the only thing I can do is be there for my kids, otherwise I'm worthless. I enjoy watching these videos though. I shoot as much as possible, I have a hard time with sidearms because of my nerve damage but I still practice as much as I can. thank you for the great videos. I have a Walther PPQ M2 that I'm used to, and my fighting rifle. I got my wife a Smith & Wesson M&P EZ because she had pancreatic cancer and has strength issues from her fight with cancer. we go to the range as much as we can, thanks for the inspiration .

Whoever put that trigger in jacked it up. That hammer shouldnt move rearward when u start to pull the trigger. When enough pressure is applied to overcome the sear it should just snap forward.

For a high end CZ I was surprised by the comparative recoil given CZ claim their inside rail slide and low bore axis significantly reduces recoil. My EDC is a CZ P07, which has also always seemed just as "snappy' as any other comparable sized pistol I've shot. That said, I'll take it over any striker fired pistol on the market.
I honestly don't like my P-07 or P-09. The P-10F and C are way better then the P-01 with Cajun guts, then SP-01 Shadow, then shadow 2 orange. I don't like shooting the 07 and 09

Keep on it Chadd. I bought the CZ P-07. Once you get past 50 yards , NADA. Going to sell. It's a belly gun. I shoot H&K, and it does me well. I am old man. I get so much from your talks. Just happy for you doing what you do.
As someone who grew up shooting polymer pistols, I also thought guns like the CZ Shadow or Berettas kicked more. But they really don't, they're much flatter shooting in the sense that the barrel doesn't point as high up as the polymer framed pistols. What is happening however, is that the polymer flexes and absorbs the impact of the slide reciprocating. Which muffles the vibrations as opposed to the metal framed pistols that transmit all that energy to the hand and wrist. So, I guess it depends on what one considers recoil. For me it's the twisting of the hand/barrel upwards that I consider to be "recoil" on a pistol. But if someone feels the gun "stinging" them or generally feeling uncomfortable in their hands, they'll probably consider it to have more recoil.

@@3.eyes.open. only own CZs. Cajun SP-01 Shadow, Shadow 2 Orange, Cajun P10F, and a bunch of others. Hands down 2011s are better, not even close but I don't want to spend that on the gun I want to spend that extra coin on ammo.

I like getting up early, I get to talk to the Almighty, everything is quiet. nobody bothers you. my youngest gets up for school at 0600 and is out the door - so I have that hour of 'chaos' my eldest child calls me at 0700 when he leaves his home and is going to work for 0800.. I'm a broken medically retired firefighter, broke my neck and back in a structure collapse a long time ago. the only thing I can do is be there for my kids, otherwise I'm worthless. I enjoy watching these videos though. I shoot as much as possible, I have a hard time with sidearms because of my nerve damage but I still practice as much as I can. thank you for the great videos. I have a Walther PPQ M2 that I'm used to, and my fighting rifle. I got my wife a Smith & Wesson M&P EZ because she had pancreatic cancer and has strength issues from her fight with cancer. we go to the range as much as we can, thanks for the inspiration .

Whoever put that trigger in jacked it up. That hammer shouldnt move rearward when u start to pull the trigger. When enough pressure is applied to overcome the sear it should just snap forward.

For a high end CZ I was surprised by the comparative recoil given CZ claim their inside rail slide and low bore axis significantly reduces recoil. My EDC is a CZ P07, which has also always seemed just as "snappy' as any other comparable sized pistol I've shot. That said, I'll take it over any striker fired pistol on the market.
I actually think he is mostly trolling with the "lot of recoil" from the pistol

I honestly don't like my P-07 or P-09. The P-10F and C are way better then the P-01 with Cajun guts, then SP-01 Shadow, then shadow 2 orange. I don't like shooting the 07 and 09

There are those who try various other firearms, then there are those who buy and shoot top tier like H&K! hehe Only HK here!
As someone who grew up shooting polymer pistols, I also thought guns like the CZ Shadow or Berettas kicked more. But they really don't, they're much flatter shooting in the sense that the barrel doesn't point as high up as the polymer framed pistols. What is happening however, is that the polymer flexes and absorbs the impact of the slide reciprocating. Which muffles the vibrations as opposed to the metal framed pistols that transmit all that energy to the hand and wrist. So, I guess it depends on what one considers recoil. For me it's the twisting of the hand/barrel upwards that I consider to be "recoil" on a pistol. But if someone feels the gun "stinging" them or generally feeling uncomfortable in their hands, they'll probably consider it to have more recoil.
Some of us have jobs and punch time clock so waking up at four for pt before work is a must

Use the CZ TSO againt the DWX. Single action vs single action. The TSO will be a better gun then the DWX. The TSO has a much better trigger stock.

I used to truck and started my day at 4am because after workout, shower and breakfast, and rolling I would be in a parking place so I didn't have to park in the corruption zone in the back of the stop.26 years. Then as I was forced to leave because of mom's terminal illness, I found a job as a bus driver, I still got up at 4am. Because worked at 530am. So there you go. And now retired I still do because I have donec33 yrs.
Just eating protein (beef, chicken, fish, pork etc..)is far better than drinking a factory made powder.
