I really appreciate you narrating your videos. Telling us what and how you do it. That's how us beginners learn. So many just have videos showing them turning. We can't learn from those. Thanks again.
A win for everyone-Mike gets wood to turn into beautiful art, Wayne get a piece of that art, and we get to watch the transformation from raw wood to a treasure!!
Am I the only one who finds Mikes channel very soothing?? I almost feel like a better person watching him make unique art pieces.. LOL.. I know, that's weird right?
Thank you for the live edge. Such a beautiful bowl. And thank you, Wayne, for sending the wood. Mike, you're such a wonderful teacher. Thanks for being so patient with your audience! 😊
Thank you, Wayne, for your gift to Mike and vicariously, all of us who watch the transformation. The finished bowl made me think that even the tree it came from would be happy to see the natural beauty revealed. So uplifting!
Such a wonderful and generous gift for us all thank you Wayne. ❤ Mike you have given back a stunning natural bowl, you always allow the wood to dictate its own design which makes every piece more exceptional and unique. Anyone who ends up with your art is well and truly blessed with a future family heirloom. ❤😊😊
What a win-win-win! Mike wins by getting lovely new pieces of wood to play with, Wayne wins by getting an original, custom-made Mike Holton piece of art, and WE win by getting to watch Mike have fun making beautiful stuff! Thank you, Wayne! 😄
That turned out beautifully Mike. Quite a transformation, and as always the journey from a bark covered piece of wood to a work of art was enjoyable. A very fair exchange with Wayne I think. This is one of my favorite pieces you have done.
Lovely original cracks holes bark and super grain , Wayne sent you some class wood and he knew you ( wood turn it ) into a nice piece , its fab , nice work Mike ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Each time I watch your sanding montages, I find myself waiting for you to edit the sounds to play Shave and a haircut, two bits. Imagine my surprise when you did just that - LOL.
What a gorgeous bowl. I love elm burr and it was great that you kept the bark on the edge. Thank you Wayne for sending Mike such a great blank for us all see, I hope you enjoy using the bowl.
Hello Mike. What a wonderful gift you received. Such a kind gesture. And you really have done this piece justice in terms of both the giving, receiving and returning. Very lovely Elm Burl Bowl. I love that you were able to leave some of the beautiful bark. You did an excellent job showcasing all the natural beauty in this piece.
Amazing work as usual. I always like to give something back to anyone who gives me wood too. A lot of the time its wood from a tree that had fallen in their yard or something so its nice to be able to give them something that came from their own home. Where the wood comes from has always been important to me when I work on things. It makes it more special to know the history.
Gorgeous, Mike. Thank you Wayne, for gifting Mike the amazing burl that we get to watch being transformed. I'm sure you will love your bowl, enjoy Thanks as always Mike 🤗
Wonderful piece of wood. I love the bowl. Very well done. Happy that the bark and bark inclusions stayed in place. Wayne should be very happy with the bowl. Dave.
Another lovely bowl, Mike, super job. Yes, I like to to let people know I will 'repurpose' their wood if they are kind enough to gift it to me; (aka, saving it from the fire or the tip!) and I turn something suitable in return - everyone wins!
As always, Mike, a beautiful piece. I really do love burl wood as patterns and colours of the wood really do pop especially when you put the Danish oil on them. I hope the person that you sent this to is really pleased because I would be over joyed to have a piece turned like this. it’s stunning :-)
