BF4 2.0 would be an instant hit.
They can't do it, DICE as it were back then doesn't exist anymore. Now the studio mostly consists of COD devs who have never played a Battlefield game in their lives and most definitely not Battlefield 3 and 4. That's why Battlefield 2042 looked like a carbon copy of COD from everything like the crosshair, hitmarkers, animations, "tactical" sprint and operators among hundreds of other things.
If they just make BF4 2, everyone wins.

4:23 so this map is actually based on the FAST (Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope) in China. However, it was in the process of being built when BF4 came out, so the design of the telescope on this map is based off of Arecibo telescope in Puerto Rico. The Arecibo telescope is the one that collapsed in December of 2020.

BF4 2 Is what I wanted BF2042 to be. BF4 with more content and all the improvements from BF1 and BFV.
This was THE PINACLE of Battlefield in my heart. One of the best MP FPS games of all times and one of the only from a decade+ ago that I still play over many modern titles.

The game still looks more beautiful and somehow plays far better than most "modern games" these days. Goes to show you how this era is moving further away from perfection. You might have 4080 or even 4090 but there are still so many games that just aren't optimized enough. Fps drops, graphical glitches, bugs, you name it, devs are tired of releasing patches but the problems never fully resolve and people with mid range to budget cards keep feeling less and less about the gaming scene all together. That's why they prefer to go back and play older titles as they were way more fun and gave more than just a playable experience
I miss how players still existed in the end end of round screen where it shows the map and people were just killing each other while trying to get to the roofs, or certain spots that were showing and they would just jump like mad men :D
I wonder why in the newer games they had to remove players and spawns after the game ended :/

I miss this game. I used to play it with 3-4 of my friends and we really played like a squad and we had sooo much fun, then BF1 (i think it was) came out and they didn't like it and they all went to Overwatch instead and now they stopped playing i think. I miss those times, hope for a new BF4 so the good old days can come back. Love from Sweden

BF3 was the best game I think. Also because e-sport in bf was still a thing then and people took the game more seriously. Mixed in with a good amount of just casual fun. TH-camrs talking about tactics and strategy etc. With bf4 e-sports died, infantry maps were more chaotic and felt less made for tactical gameplay and flow.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take, but you only miss 99% of Yolo shots, and the 1% you hit make you look awesome.
If it is a mix of BF3, BF4 and BF1 it'll be the best game ever
A modern BF with the immersion of BF1, the customization and gunplay of BF4, and movement of BF5 would make the best BF title. BF5, honestly in a modern setting would have been the best Battlefield to date. People really slept on BF5, for good reason but what a shame.
We gave them so so much feedback. During the time of Bf3/BF4/ Hardline. Where did all that feedback go? We even joked about BF3 needing more dinosaurs and that led to great Easter eggs.
I just want a modern battlefield that feels like generation: kill. Have actual factions and bad guys. Not just the same character models fighting each other.
If you spot enemy aircraft that are near your spawn point, your base AA will engage the target.

I miss the Battlelog where they listed your world rankings based on your SPM and various stats. Had top world rankings in some categories. They need to bring Battlelog back for the next BF.

Future setting wasn't the problem at all, BF2142 is there to prove that. The issue is that rather than "soldiers and warfare with futuristic technology", bf2042 made marvel superheros in fatigues. Somehow, the 2042 setting was less grounded and more fantasy-like than the 2142 one

Next bf game needs commander mode as well. I had fun on my tablet when I couldn’t play on the pc. Felt like an rts game (when players actually listened to you)

It's great that they want to go back to BF3/4 but BF1 was the highest selling BF game. I recently purchased BF4 and BF1 and got hooked for about a week on BF4. Then I played BF1 and got hooked for about a month. I went back to BF4 for a few days, but returned to BF1. The sound, weapon/class balance, and vehicle balance is better than BF4. Even the map design is better. They should take what they learned from BF1 and turn it into a modern setting like BF3/4.
One small critique or rather suggestion, DICE have to get rid of lens-flares and excessive blue/green tint in their next BF game.

I would get gunplay, map design, and gritiness from BF3. Gun/vehicles arsenal, the flexible customization and the movement and animations from 4.
What i find completely insane. Amongst a thousand other incredible things, is the sound of guns, jets, tanks helicopter. NO game comes close even 9 years later, PLUS. The INSANE realistic movement of the vehicles and air machines. they have weight to them, and are fun to control.

Still think Bad Company 2 was a better game but BF3 and BF4 were fantastic.
BF1 had some great atmosphere but I think the vehicle balance even more obnoxious than normal for BF games. BFV had great gunplay and movement, plus the cool new features like towed weapons and fortification building.

I have a little over 6k hours on BF3 & 4 over multiple consoles. I still play BF4 on PS5, but I don't think they track time played on the PS5.

BF3 launch was incredible. The hype at midnight launch. I think i even remember the excitement hopping into the first multiplayer match. Good times.
The next game needs to go bsck to basics. 4 classes, good customization on guns in the menu screen ONLY, etc. just make another bf3/4 and you’re guaranteed a banger

Modern games are simply better. Nobody wants to play without red dot sights or with biplanes. It’s boring. Simple as that. I won’t buy anything before Vietnam and Thats that sentiment a lot of others agree with.
@@mikeyplayzwrld but that's not why battlefield, especially 4 and earlier, were special. There are tons of games set in modern Era, even back in the day. Heck, battlefield 1941/42 are the reason battlefield is anything at all. They weren't modern but they were unique. Battlefield is at it's best when the maps allow all elements of battlefield to flow together. This means the maps need to be just as active as the players and change as the players need them too. Building destruction to create new attack lanes, huge sky boxes for epic air battles, cities that allow for constant building to building action and not every so many buildings, and so much more. They've taken away so much of what battlefield is that it's nothing more than a CoD clone now. The DICE I loved is clearly gone and I highly doubt they'll make anything other than another CoD clone because they don't know how to make a battlefield game anymore
For the most part in battlefield the setting and time period are mostly cosmetic, with only slight impact on actual gameplay.
Just because they’re going back to modern doesn’t immediately mean it’s back to the enjoyment of BF 3 and 4. I hope it is, but it’s good to temper the hype

We need designated skins for each class and team. You could tell who was enemy and which class they were playing. now everyone looks the same. Should only be certain skins for each side to distinguish

My favourite gun was the cheytec m200 so much fun on this map 😂
nothing beats rush mode in bf3. a near perfect game. bf needs maps like saine crossing, back to karkand, grand bazar, theran highway and metro with the atmosphere of real places that were full of people before the battle started. compare in bf4 siege of shang high and dawnbraeker (i think, the city map with the sunrise). the first was their flagship map for the trailers and demo. it felt much more alive then dawnbraeker. it had lots of newspaper and other comon things everywhere, compared to the clean "steril" look of dawnbreaker. also the effects of bullets hiting walls where better in bf3.
