    Back in the day, most of the timber fellers here in Nor Cal used velocity stacks and that type filter, except the filter was about 8" long and was clamped directly to stack, they called them the green weenie. Was no rubber that it was glued to that clamps to stack. You had to keep eye for tears in filter if it did tear, you just cut it off and put in back on. With these new style you have to keep eye that it is not coming apart from rubber.

    That looked like an easy upgrade. I was looking forward to a demonstration, but you tricked me this time. Hopefully, you will show us later. Be blessed. My friend.

    Are you suppose to use filter oil?

    • @IndianaDoug
      @IndianaDoug  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I believe it’s optional. I just put it on today and will oil it for sure.

      Pretty sure you need oil like Bel Ray.

      @@IndianaDougI’m in the same camp as Justin. Use the oil. It provides an extra layer of “insurance” for catching the fines, and THAT is what filters are all about! Even then, put a layer of panty hose on after that, just barely tight enough but not so loose that you’ve got bunching happening.

      I thought I was the only one that used panty hose🤣 I wrap it over all my k&n filters too.

    Slap some panty hose over it for a pre-filter.

    Now look at that “PROFESSIONAL GRADE SAW” keep it up Doug. Any good recommendations on who to send a holtz 372 to so I can get it hopped up?
