The sort of video I was/am looking for. I'm going to tackle a Saab 96 body. Someone else did the welding. He passed away and the car was granted to me. I happen to have another Saab 96 body for parts. So I can safely try out how things will work out for me. (No worries when the 'practice body' gets another dent. 😙. I've read the comments and the idea of adding construction glue before screwing all together is a good idea that I'll adopt.
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know a way to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost the login password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Kristopher Jackson thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
This build series is an absolute gem. I've been watching M539 Restorations and Legit Street Cars, and this is right up there. I've checked Instagram to verify that you're still alive, so here's to hoping you'll get back on the Datsun soon. 👍
You don’t have to explain yourself to us, you’re doing amazing! Don’t concern yourself with viewership, it’ll all come together like this wonderfully made video. You’re awesome!
I love Datsun, and really happy by seeing how much effort you put in, but I feel like you should take more time to rebuild ever single part and not rush it😂
Good luck on your move. Used to live in Austin. You are going to love the backroads for driving. No traffic and long sweeping turns. Check out Lime Creek in Cedar Park TX
Cant wait to have my own house to rotisserie chicken my datsun and do repairs. Just got mine back from trans shop. Now headlights are cutting off and in while driving. The neverending story
I was afraid this might be yet another start a project, life gets in the way and the car got sold stories. I’m happy to see this is not the case. The more you take this car apart and put back together the more efficient you will become. Great job. Congrats getting out of California. You will find more freedom and better economic growth in Austin. The heat will get a bit unbearable during the summer but I’m sure you knew that already. I’ll keep the notification bell on and look forward to resuming the progress on the Z. 👍
I thought I was the only one with a set of those American racing wheels on my 240z...I wish the original owner didn’t toss factory hubcaps back in the 70’s...
That is cheating by putting a 1977 hood on a 240Z. The 77 was the first year for vent inserts. I worked at the dealer, I know! Many parts exchange as some look right and others not so much. I actually have the Datsun Racing catalog that calls out part numbers. DK
So, I also own a yellow 240Z (@failady.exe on instagram) and I just came across this channel. Awesome vids man. After a while of watching I saw your channel name and your logo and I was like.....why is that so familiar? Lmao, didn't notice you were the same concept car artist. Amazing artwork as well! What color do you think you'll end up painting it?
We as viewers are interested in the z..and your progress.. we can care less about your life and what you had for lunch..if you know what I mean.. Good luck on your build..but tone down the music.
Very invested in this build and binge watched all parts. What happened to the series?
Are you going to do more videos on this? I'm doing the same thing and this was very helpful
Just finished binging this series, hope you can finish it if you haven't already. Thanks for the videos!
How has the build been Brad?

I was just thinking about this build, happy you’re still making progress
lots more progress coming soon hopefully!

This channel is so underrated!
How is it going with the Datsun ,to bad you left Riverside CA I would of loved to check out your build in person I'm building mine in San Bernardino
What's going on with the z build? You get set up in the new shop?
Welcome to Austin, we definitly have less wild fires here.
What happened to the Datsun?
I was wondering the same thing I thought he would be done by now but he hasn’t posted in years

Appreciate that! Im finally getting back to posting about this after a long pause 🫡
Hi Brad, I have enjoyed your Datsun videos and hope to see more. Hope you get all squared away moving.
Texas gets snow too i've heard ;)

Whyyyyy is this channel soo under rated i mean this datsun series alone should have 50k subs great work brad keep doing it we love it
this was so incredibly satisfying to watch
Did u ever finish the car??
Hope you get all your things ready for the move... I would love to see more content specially on the cnc part for the datsun...
I have a 280z I’m working on! You just got a sub! Great job!!!
Good luck with the moving! Looking forward to more Datsun episodes!
Thanks!
Update on the build?
Im just about finished with my new garage (see community section for pics), then I’ll restart the series 🤘
Great video! Good luck and safe travels.
are you gonna get all new parts for the datsun like a gas tank, lines, etc?
Good luck on your move. Used to live in Austin. You are going to love the backroads for driving. No traffic and long sweeping turns. Check out Lime Creek in Cedar Park TX
Hearing David Ruffan's dulcet tones in the middle of vid was perfection!
HELL YA!!! You’re going to love Texas!! Hope to see you soon in the street :))
man you are living the dream!
Dang looks like you moved 30 min from me 😂
Converting to manual?
I absolutely love this build
Good luck
Just found your channel, you work so fast its amazing dude. I have a 72 240z in pieces too.
Looking forward to the next episode
Let's go, excited for this car to get rebuilt. 😎
Man the car looks 👌, good.
Good luck with the new place.
You make me want my 280z back together.
Welcome back!😁👍🏿
That’s a lot of work to just put it back together lol. Well now you have tons of practice on the Z lol
Dang should have moved back to Portland, the datsun scene is still popping here!
Cant wait to have my own house to rotisserie chicken my datsun and do repairs. Just got mine back from trans shop. Now headlights are cutting off and in while driving. The neverending story
Where did you go to collage? (I live in upstate ny btw)

I ❤ Datsun
How long do you think it will be before there are new videos of the build ?
congrats i moved from san diego to corpus christi!
I had no clue you were so close! We should have met up, done a collab video and talked Z stuff/car rendering.
What happened to this project??? 😭
What happened to the big body kit content???
I thought I was the only one with a set of those American racing wheels on my 240z...I wish the original owner didn’t toss factory hubcaps back in the 70’s...
How many hours do you think it took to get everything back together?
Enjoyed the videos. I have two 1970’z one is a street car other vintage race car. Brought back a lot of memories! Thanks
I’m in the Austin area and owner of a 1970 240z. What part of Austin you moving to?
Update?
That gas strut looks like it’s in the wrong place
Might rethink the body kit. Original Z cars are hitting all time highs as far as value..
Hey! You're moving to my town! Not to be weird, but if you want some help with the car let me know! I'd love to help!
I love this kind of content, does any one knows more good channels that do builds and restorations?
now that your out of Cali, will you be engin swaping it?
I was wondering if anyone would catch this 🤣😉😉
@@BradBuilds ples no ls. Ples.
Clean up front Suspension and give it a new paint, otherwise…..

Pistons? You mean struts...
the piston is inside the strut assembly
You mechanic in boy clothes!
