You're using propane to heat the pipe. Have you ever used oxy-acet? Does bending it with the heat weaken the aluminum at all? I have some 1 1/4" thick wall tubing I need to bend to make an arch that will be 8" inside to inside. Is there a reason you didn'tuse diamond/tread plate for your platform? Tower looks great btw!

Absolutely. Dad was out of acet. Using a rose bud actually works best in my opinion!
